  1. If you think the vegas is the best car, fine, it's got stats to verify (cough cough Vaquero looks the best imo cough cough)

But the 4x4 version handles like you put a car on roller blades, cut the drive shaft halfway through a corner, and added an electric motor to the rear wheels for added 'lol' affect.

RWD is the best Vegas model.

    ~snip~

I have been playing APB since RTW, i am up to date to what is happening with this game.

    Congrats.

I have seen it at its best times and worse times and i know for a fact when the game started to go down hill.

    Here's the next explanation:

Firing Certain GM's , removing the old threat system which basically put a huge dent in the game player-base and i was a witness to it when it happen. You can sit up here and play stupid all you want,

Why, thanks, I appreciate the insult...

removing the threat system would be the worse idea <I never said remove threat> and probably will killed the game for real. I don't speak for every player who has been playing since RTW, but i know what i am talking about. Bringing back the old threat system <Do you even know how the current threat system works? If you wanted to bring it back, then you don't know what you're talking about. The current threat system is the same as the previous, with a couple exceptions> and promoting it <promoting the game? I would assume they would after the engine upgrade anyways> everywhere, including on steam will bring back over 2000 players to the game. <Please give some statistical, or empirical evidence for your assertion.> Now if you don't care about the threat system, that's one thing, but facts are facts, all the stuff which Gamerfirst was doing by removing the threat system <They didn't>, firing certain GM's who helped build the game and the community <Of which, L.O. is looking at bringing back>, removing the old graphics which were better <Subjective opinion>, removing the old gun sounds <subjective opinion>, etc... killed the game over time.

Yea blah blah i know things take time, I'm merely only stating that the engine upgrade is their saving grace, so i hope its done right. <As do we all, glad to agree.> I have notice alot of devs/ companies tend to do "what they want to do, or what they think is the best idea * that didn't work out too well with those shotgun changes, eh"? *  , better stop doing that and listen to the community.

They've already apologized, and are correcting their error.

Open up your eyes and look at the steam charts, lmfao.

    https://steamcharts.com/app/113400

Steam charts are not the full population. Sure they might be a significant portion, but not the whole game.

There is also the fact of the matter that a majority of the players are students, high school, college, and university.

Like me, they probably don't have enough time to play the game every day or consistently.

The graphics still look terrible, where's the bloom at night?

This is G1's graphics you're still playing on

    No engine upgrade yet

They're working on this, and have actually laid out a timeline/roadmap for implementation.

Those two go hand in hand. The best course of action is not for them to update graphics or work on them now, but to finish the engine unification, upgrade the engine on all platforms, and then update the graphics, and settings. If they were to update the graphics now, they would have to rework it again with the newer engine, thus doing the same thing multiple times. Which... if you're a software developer, is a waste of time.

No offense to the new company, but at this point, i think everyone wants the engine upgrade and new visuals and you should bring back the old threat system if you want to see around 3k back into your game.

You're not everyone, and my above statement addresses this.

    No

The old threat system would still have just as many issues as the current threat system. Removing visual threat of others or even yourself, would actually address the issues of dethreating.

If you can't see your threat, or you can't see others, then you won't be able to 'dethreat' (easily that is)

I'd recommend spending more time either on the forums, or playing the game to get up to date with information, instead of posting aimless threads.

Lez be honest if they did the forums would be even more of a ghost town than they already are. Only the patootie kissers and trolls are left here.

    which one are we?
I believe most of us are patootie kissers, not counting the many this is broken, L.O. is trash. threads posters .-.

  5. The point of purchasing ammo is for it to be a money sink. (not the best one, but still quite existing)
Now, with that, instead of automatically purchasing a whole inventory load automatically, and eating up your money, the game allows you to choose when and which ammo to purchase.
Not only that, but you are able to get said ammo from any inventory "machine"

    1. Field Supplier (and the consumable versions)
    2. Ammo Vending
    3. Car Spawners
    4. Mail Boxes
    5. Contacts
If you can swap your gun at it, you can purchase ammo at it.
After G1 allowed for you to resupply your guns at any of these points (excluding contacts and mailboxes) they effectively reduced the need for your field/mobile supply units.
(probably one of the few things that people like)

The mechanic is in place to reduce the amount of inflation our ingame economy contains.

the search on mails would be good
But ingame changing guns/mods u'd have to scroll a bit in your inventory trying to find that thing u need sadly well true. let's hope that maybe in the future it will be added to the game tho
    maybe after UE3.5 🤔
Hoping for it sooner, but after would likely make it easier to implement considering the design of the inventory.

    Hi everyone,

We aren’t ignoring the DT problem or cheaters.

We needed to launch the new Trading System because the new Report system uses some of the same underlying logic.

I’m not going to make excuses. I see the same reports as everyone else. We are doing our best. We’re just running behind.

    Thanks,
    Matt

That'll be nice to see soon too, thanks for the update!

Problem is.... in Fight Club a week or so ago, one of the regular blatant cheaters that LO are doing diddly squat to curtail went 40+ kills twice in a row and a TGM was congratulating him on having great gameplay in district chat.

It insulted all the legit players out there, and proves that the TGM concerned is unfit for that role.

    Was this on Jericho?
I think the situation should be looked into why the TGM didn't notice it, or if they did and secretly pushed for enforcement (haha... pun)

It all makes sense now, BattleEye is clearly not trying to ban hackers.

A client not responding, would mean that the server sent information to the computer, but the client did not successfully send information back.
Just try and restart the game .-.

tons of people came back when apb got bought out
tons of ddos happens right after that
tons of people who came back left again

rinse and repeat. fix the ~**~ ddos whenever you idiots make a huge patch/change then people will stay

DDoS solutions aren't simple or easy.
    Wikipedia explains this pretty well:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack
    Quote
Defensive responses to denial-of-service attacks typically involve the use of a combination of attack detection, traffic classification and response tools, aiming to block traffic that they identify as illegitimate and allow traffic that they identify as legitimate
They use the example of a DDoS attack as:
    Quote
A DoS or DDoS attack is analogous to a group of people crowding the entry door of a shop, making it hard for legitimate customers to enter, disrupting trade.
Think of APB as the storefront. A DDoS attack blocks the door to the store. No one can get in or out, right?
What Little Orbit can do, is mitigate the attack... which includes:
    • Detecting the Attack
    • Screening the incoming requests - whether or not they are the attacking "mob" of computers, or actual player requests.
When you perform mitigation, a significant number of resources are diverted from running the server under normal conditions, to classifying, and routing traffic.
This obviously hurts the performance of the server.

I don't understand this whole there's no content argument rank means nothing in this game and the entire game is killing people around missions. the combat is the content. and serg anytime I think about trying a free game on steam I make sure to look threw reviews to see if its worth the time of downloading it since there are so many money grab freemium games that devs completely neglect

I just mean I personally haven't read the reviews in a long time.

According to steam charts, APB was originally averaging 4k players and is now averaging about 1100 players. Pop did spike when LO took over and I believe that it will happen when new content is added, but the game would need to be fixed (UE 3.5) before this can happen
Removing the threats from districts may be a good idea to try and unify the playerbase, provided that a tutorial district is preserved to prevent Greens on Golds.
On that note, most people dethreat, so the threat system is partially redundant anyway.

In my opinion, adding new content won't bring a permanent population back. The issues with Hitreg seem to have been resolved with this update.
The update to UE3.5 will definitely bring players back.

Simply having just a "financial" instance, and allowing for players to all have a cross-instance matchmaking for all 'financial' districts would resolve the issue of matchmaking pools.
If a district has no threat, the matchmaking should ensure that a green player does not ever play a gold player (with the exception of them being in a private group with a gold player)

Although, once again, this is my own personal opinion.

the biggest problem with open threat is a new player wont understand why some people kill them before they can react and others take a full clip to kill them and will just blame "hacking" and leave a shitty review on steam with 1 star calling the game p2w and littered with hackers

Are those still prevalent... I haven't checked steam reviews in a long long time.
