12/18 CHRISTMAS PATCH ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello everyone,

 

we will be deploying the Christmas Patch this Thursday (12/18) starting at 9 AM UTC. The game should be back up and running in 6 to 8 hours.

 

End of year update blog

 

We have just released our End of your update blog post which talks about the recent Network Migration, Christmas, Streamer mode as well as provide an update on the next major patch "Legends". You can read it here: APB: Reloaded End of Year Update

 

Christmas 2025

 

This patch introduces the 2025 Christmas event running from Thursday, 18th of December all the way until Wednesday, January 7th!

 

The Beacon returns along with its set of fun Minigames! Play Minigames on The Beacon during the Christmas Event to unlock an assortment of new Titles, 2400 Joker Tickets as well as an unlock to the "COBR-A "Venom" NFCP 2, allowing you to lease the weapons from contacts even after the event has ended!

 

Additionally play up to 100 Missions or Minigames during the Christmas Event to max out the new Mega Christmas player role. Players will be awarded up to 1500G1C based on the highest rank of their Mega Christmas role on the account.

 

Elf Inflicted Wounds

 

This year will mark the grand return of the “Elf Inflicted Wounds” event - Featuring some of our staff as beefed up Elves that are going to be incredibly hard to kill but it’ll be worth it as players who kill one of the Elves will get to work with our Designer to create a unique Title of their choosing that will only be available to them across their account.

 

Keep an eye out for announcements in our Discord, the Forums as well as in-game Broadcasts on when and where you may encounter one of those elusive Elves.

 

Streamer Mode (BETA)

 

This patch also adds our new Streamer mode, an optional feature that allows all players to control which things they want to see or hear and which things they do not. While this is primarily targeted to make the game more friendly and in-line with the Terms of Service of streaming platforms it should also provide players with some quality of life settings to make their experience a little better.

 

This is something we have wanted to add for a long time, and it needed to be complete prior to the release the Legends Patch. We’re going to release it with the Christmas Event, so we have time to get your feedback and make more tweaks.

I was discussing yesterday about what LO has done for quality of life features, and to be honest in my opinion that's the only thing you guys have done right since you took over APB.
By the way, when are we having population status again? I wanna know how much players are online so I can decide if I wanna play the game or not. Now Streamer Mode is very welcome for everyone, finally being able to silence Audio without risking a shadowban, and hide Symbols from players that has the most creative ways of showing what they stand for (just staying polite in my setence here since if you know you know about symbols) . Anything else regarding Streamer Mode is just okay, can be improoved but I got the point that's it's in BETA state.
About Christmas Event, it's nice having something to grind and earn, but 100 matches in a single character? In a 20-days period? uhm... I think people won't have that much time to play APB and even if they do, that's too much to ask in a Holiday Season, not to mention people will also want to try and grind the COBR-A in all their characters, I get the point that you earn 500 G1C just for logging in, but in my opinion should be a bit less matches to be able to earn the big reward... Only a few will be able to do it, not a nice way of saying sorry to your playerbase, asking them to play an unhealthy amount of time for some G1C (and again, just my opinion).
About Legends Patch, just release when you guys are confortable with, try not to say you going to release before it's even ready to be released because you wanted to hype the game, when you don't release when u said u going to release players will remember it and the effect will be the opposite of what you wanted. (Just see EU population going down)
I hope you really are saying the thruth about servers stability because this whole year has been a pain in the neck to play this game, thank you for the effort and for keeping the game alive, but sometimes I wished this game was closed already so I can only remember good things about this game.

well it was bloody f' time already! For the event and for the Legends patch. We figured it ain't gonna happen this year. But now that patch sided to me equal to engine upgrade promises.
Since this is literally 3'rd time it was postponed, it was originally promised for summer 2025, then for autumn, then for december before xmas event, now we will stop waiting for it. 
It ain't gonna happen neither in january nor february and we will probably await it for Easter event 2026 with high chances it gonna be postponed even then.

So at least now we can be calm and stop nagging about it for at least next 6 months. 

 

Streamer mod I don't fully understand yet. Does that mean you can hide your char name for entire world you are in? 
Does it mean if I join beacon and hit hide my name, and if I say something in district chat, it won't show who said it? That would be quite silly because then people will hide names and talk shyt and insults and you won't know who to report cuz u don't know who said it? 

Someone elaborate.

You could have put the dates down...when was this time? Which date to which date?

How do we know when were networking issues and were we online at those moments?

Every time I login in APB i experience lags and ddoses. Its a day to day routine type of happening.

Naw, they don't have anything to buy that makes you gold for one. 

Second It's them who have the anger not me.

Music is the best therapy, n They hate real music from my era.

 n I'm certainly not gonna be able to whoop some gm with god mode health with 

the pea shooters they have, i mean id have to shoot one 90 times to kill. 

No let the gm's and their buddys fight, its gonna be for golds, n i aint gold or on discord. 

So im not in apb.

 Still no message as to why.  To me the xmas event was them attacking a legit off discord.

honestly if being gold is that much important to you I will come from Citadel to NA and carry you to gold.

When you achieve gold threat you don't have to play missions anymore. Only Beacon and FC's where threat doesn't count. 

FC is best therapy! Each time I am angry I go FC and delete everybody. And I feel better instantly!

And I couldn't do beacon for more than a few minutes. the arm pain is pretty bad, 

like having a spear or long knife going in at the collar bone n out thru the shoulder blade.

Only thing the doctors will do is give me hospice level drugs, n I won't take that morphine.

Damn. I know I used to be quite harsh towards you with comments on here, before, when I had no idea of your life situation. 

I apologize for that. I hope they will find other ways aside of morphine to keep your pain away for what it matter.

The servers are coming back online now which mean's the Christmas event is LIVE!

If you are having issues connecting to the login server please restart your games and run the Launcher again!
 

Please let us know if you encounter any issues and keep an eye out for the announcement for the Christmas sale later today.

The rewards this year are insane (comparatively) too.

 

Definitely nice to have these streamer tools, maybe an option to disable (copyrighted) music? (Probably gonna be all music but I'd rather not deal with strikes anymore just because I'm driving near a player)

After 10+ year we FINALLY have something like Gold Rush event (light version)
But for 1500 g1c we can't even buy any weapons (for character) 
But it's better than nothing.

As we continue to monitor the event, we have identified an increasing number of accounts engaging in boosting. We want to clearly remind everyone that boosting is not permitted and will result in account action.

Any user found boosting the new event roles will receive sanctions that include being unable to play missions or access non-mission action districts for the remainder of the event. In addition, these accounts will be excluded from the G1C payout at the end of the event.

Please play fair and enjoy earning your rewards throughout the Christmas season.

MAybe people would not boost if the event wasn't full of cheaters and the event in general wasn't a fucking slog to get through? ever thought of that?

And so whats going to happen to those who cheat to the top of the leader board in the event.. countless times we see known cheaters taking top spots while the legit players are just cannon fodder.. Will you ever get thet so called anti cheat working or is it because you know if you did the player base would drop dramatically, but who cares about the countless legit players who fund this game.. right..
