Acrohh 9 Posted August 24 this escalation crap needs to be reverted. the new matchmaking is terrible. nobody enjoys 8v8 missions every other game, with little agency over whether you win or lose the mission you cant even get a good 3v3 or 4v4 or heck even 2v2 going vs other who are also in groups, im gonna quit this game for good if you dont revert the matchmaking
EC2Jonathan 20 Posted August 24 MCD DISAPPROVES OF THIS POST. WE STAND BEHIND THE ESCALATION FEATURE AND THINK ITS GOOD! 2V2s ARE BORING!
Acrohh 9 Posted August 24 Missions should be capped to a maximum of 4v4, because the game is balanced around 4v4. 4v4 is an objective format Any popular game has an objective format in which the game is played counterstrike - 5v5, league of legends - 5v5, wow arena - 3v3, pubg - 4v4 This game has turned into a chaos clown fiesta fight club every mission, and its not good You have no agency over how the game is played, or what the format will end up being. Its pure random dogshit Its actually insane that I even have to bring up this point which is complete common sense, enjoy your dead game

Just my honest opinion, not sure if the matchmaking can look through this but yeah
MACKxBOLAN 479 Posted August 24 Escalation in my opinion, is only good for sweats. Now it may effect the outcome of the mission itself, win or lose. But it plays to these sweats who are more into a kill count than the mission. It also helps to dethreat the original team. It brings in golds or more golds, who regardless of win or loss will sweat out a higher score just as a back up man, than the original team, so either way you're gonna de threat. Its easier to do a mission and use tactical moves to win when its just 2v2 thru 4v4. When U have loads of back up coming, rollin in from all directions normal tactics are not possible. Then some of those back up guys will end up fighting each other miles away from the objective, cause they crossed paths or were in site of each other when they entered the mission. Meh, you kids can keep it, I just mug or impound beings the average player goes 50-2.
koenyboy500 77 Posted August 24 I actually agree with MACKxBOLAN for ocne, I think Escalation is pretty stupid. It's a tool for tryhards/sweatlords. What people tend to forget also is how INCREDIBLY UNBALANCED the game becomes for the attacking side. 2v2? If you play smart and get the double, the objective is yours. 8v8 and you made a quad? Tough luck buddy the sniper was aiming at the objective door GG NO RE mission failed. It completely puts the mission to a standstill. If you are attacking the objective and your teammates are playing like, at all: DO NOT call for escalation. You are SHOOTING YOURSELF in the foot. But with the requirement of thinking about something called 'consequence' leaves little hope for people actually using it to their advantage. In my opinion, lower player amount allows for MUCH MUCH MUCH more strategical plays and chess-like gameplay. Strategies can be employed and tricks can make their appearance. High playercounts just ensures that nothing you do ever matters.
Westford 192 Posted August 24 (edited) I might assume that the; 2v2 4v4 works so well for many, is that these are typically premade groups, and as such, are using voice comms where tactics/strategies can excel. When you get 2 or even 4 more on each side, the advantages of the premade and voice comms probably suffers, since in a 8v8, there is going to be 4 additional team members that are probably PUB randoms and are not part of the original team/group voice comms. I can see how the original tactics/strategies might suffer a bit since the additional team members are "not on board" so to speak as they are not part of the voice comms. EDIT: I actually like the larger type chaos that the 6v6, 8v8 brings. It's going to be challenging for LO to please everyone in this instance, as some prefer the smaller teams whereas others prefer the larger.
