Thanks for the 15th Patch but Fix Spawn Points

Recommended Posts

The last few weeks have actually been pretty enjoyable. The recent patch was fun, and within two days I had my characters ready and collected all the titles—thanks for that.
But now I’ve put the game aside again because there’s nothing new to do.

One thing that really stood out to me is how bad the spawns are after you die.

The game has improved a lot overall, but the spawns are honestly terrible. You respawn right in the middle of the street, often next to an enemy who’s already waiting to snipe you as soon as you appear.

The vehicle entry mechanic is a good idea, but it takes way too long. About one second would be more than enough.

I’m curious to see what the “Legends” patch brings. Hopefully it’s not just another update that feels empty again after two weeks of playing.
APB really needs more to do.

You guys really need to sit down and design new weapons and new things to do in APB.
Once you’ve maxed out all contacts and the only thing left to level is weapon roles, it just isn’t fun anymore. Add something meaningful to work towards—something that actually feels rewarding, not like those Joker Ticket missions. Something fresh and exciting. or make the joker missions like a Contact.  Just create a crazy arms dealer contacts who gives a joker missions on top.

They should really focus on getting more new players into the game, and not just only please the little amount of playerbase who's left. ^.^

Yes, they should do that too, you're right.

It all depends what you treat as fun in APB. APB takes its power of fun for majority of people in designing cars, symbols, clothes. Earning money with selling and trading, becoming weapons dealer etc.
APB was never designed that you have fun with doing a loop of endless repetitive missions. It has always been pretty pointless after you reach max rank since RTW and G1 days, so that will never change.
What is promised with new patch is new ranks 2 new contacts, new clothes and possibly a new weapon.
Imo what APB needs at this state is finally releasing that new third district Midtown that suppose to be bigger than financial and waterfront, but even if it was released once you would spent maybe 1 day to investigate the district entirely...what would be the point afterwards? Again nobody would cared after few weeks. Same is with adding new contacts...eventually you ll max them out again nobody would care.
What APB needs in my opinion is only new content from time to time (at least every 6 months) releasing new clothes, new cars (and only those two things), maybe 1 new legendary but me personally dont care for weapons since i pretty much got all of them except last few new legendaries.
What would be great thing is focus on adding new hairstyles as well. Maybe unlocking that 8th outfit slot, unlocking 2 empty slots of equipment and adding such "new" stuff or more likely said simply unlocking stuff that was already programmed by g1 long ago.
Real power of APB and fun is in social for most of people. There you meet people, talk to them, exchange things, trade, design and that will always be the biggest ace in sleeve APB has...not silly repetitive missions which are predestined to annoy you. Since you will be opposed either vs 4 max gold rank nolifers who play missions day and night, or you will be opposed vs hackers, tryhards and cheaters.
Joker store is brilliant change for all of us who didnt invest g1c long time, leaving opportunity to people to get armas stuff for joker tickets with one minus which is char bound option instead acc bound option like its for g1c.
So basically new legends patch once it comes will be grinded in first 7-10 days by everybody, once everybody again max themselves it will go back to usual stalled routine and that is inevitable regardless how many times they add new contacts and new ranks. We can go to level 9000 it will still repeat itself doing no good to APB.
Only thing Lil orbit should focus themselves on is every couple of months adding new clothes new cars and thats it in my opinion. It would be good enough to keep the player base active and curious.

Very interesting thought, yes, I agree with you.

The new map Midtown would definitely be amazing!
it would give APB some fresh momentum again. I would have a lot of fun playing a new map and exploring its tactics.

There is no "Midtown" most of what RTW had done for Midtown was merged into Financial as we have it today.  A lot of what i've seen of it over the years is just empty, slightly visually different Financial.

The best part of the patch was watching trash talkers who would tell me all the ways there not cheating, panic because instead being able to use wall hacks and see where i was at all times they had to find me and use skill. watching some of them go from killing me 50 times in a match to 2 was also enjoyable.

As for the spawns we should be allowed to select in a certain radius. As of now it's based on players, and well if you get that one teammate who decides not to play, but be 1000m away you get spawns about 300m from the obj and it makes it hard to push or defend.

And for god sake fix the vegas audio, it's already gotten old with having 6-8 kids sitting around blasting it. my headphones already sound slightly dull from it.

That surprises me a lot, I really thought there was a separate Midtown for years 😮

Was thought for a long time though some ex-devs elaborated on it over the years.  Think they were merged early-mid game development but there was a lot of stuff used in Financial that was labeled for midtown as well as some ingame references.

The only unfinished map in the game is the Enforcer Social District.  Think Asylum but as a military base.  Based on the old pics of it, it just needs a lot of detailing to be turned into a fight club map.

The problem is that new players aren't going to stick around when they're just getting farmed by veterans who don't give a shit about anything but themselves.

A revamped tutorial system has been talked about plenty of times, that would be a good example to maintain new player retention. Ontop of that; Fixing matchmaking, having a larger population for a better spread of experience and skill to prevent these new players getting stomped by people with far more expierience tham them.

I actually agree on most of it -based on getting new players into the game.

However, the playerbase ain't big enough for this but I still believe a threat/low rating based tutorial district would be a good idea for new players to get in touch with the game, instead of being a trainee and group up in a mission against 4 max level opposition and get blasted away.

You should have a weird sort of humor to find that funny at all ^_^
