Reprimand 125 Posted Thursday at 10:49 PM I come back to the forums every now and again to check what is happening with APB, but it seems that nothing is really happening. It's still plagued by the same issues. What used to be a massive ongoing project upheld by a team of developers and an inflated budget is just a passion project charging 2025 prices for 2011 tier content. I want to point out the fact that I made a guide to this game for beginners and instead of support and kindness I was met with derision, harassment, abuse and complaints from a selection of players who had no interest in open and honest discussion or giving feedback, but just scoring points by gatekeeping whatever superior knowledge they believe they had over me. I wanted to put the information in one comprehensive place because I know the learning curve this game had and I didn't want other players to suffer the same way I did. That said, let me make one thing clear: A lot of stuff in this game is paywalled, especially weapons, and there is no way to write a comprehensive guide for the weapons in this game without asking people who spent their money how the gun functions and what modifications work for it best. I was even surprised to see that the player who wrote a Steam guide did nothing to come to my defence when he saw the toxicity I was facing even though his guide only covered meta weapons. New changes definitely aren't coming. People begged for lowering rank requirements on character modifications which took several years to implement. People are still begging for the last two slots of equipment to be unlocked so they don't have to change it mid-match to suit an ongoing mission. It still hasn't been done. There are paid weapons in this game that are absolutely horrendous. The player meta still revolves around the NTEC and anything else is just an exercise in futility. Some of you I have met are some of the most toxic and unsavoury human beings I've played games with. How is it that AAA games are finally stamping down on the abuse and disruptive behaviour better than what is now an indie game with a tiny player base. Is it really that hard to moderate in game chat and griefing? I don't like talking online anymore because truth be told, I became toxic too because it was the only way I could fit in. Now I'm not like that, I like to hold my tongue because if I go back to my old ways we're both going to lose. One thing I tend to encounter on games where I give feedback are toxic players who think that my opinion is so at odds with the game's vision that they need to shoot me down and belittle me instead of understanding that my feedback is as valid as anyone else's. It's as if you're all fine with the way things are to some degree and any changes to the status quo mean the end of the world for the rookie crushing golds who need to feel better than everyone else. You write snarky forum posts complaining but won't highlight the issues you dislike. You come into game and argue about geopolitics instead of focusing on the match. You kick down new players and instead of communicating, whisper abuse and teamkill. I'm sorry to say: APB is dying and most of you deserve it. You don't make the game any better to play with your behaviour and you certainly won't be allowed to act the same way on the other games you go to play. Especially where voice and text chat moderation come in. The tree spoils the fruit and the fruit spoils the tree. Shame on y'all. Truly. 1
cowhorseman 448 Posted Thursday at 11:43 PM I would like to put in experiences i have had in apb after not playing for several years. The amount of cheaters Could be high, but it's hard to tell becuase they are mixed in with the sweats. People who stream are by far the worse. If anyone i mean ANYONE ahs something that could get them in trouble on there char. that player is targeted by the streamer People will send you death threats rasict comments and so on over anything you do in game. Trying to play any match you are met with atleast one pleasant fellow who always knows exactly were you are. where you spawned, and manages to never miss a single shot Almost every match has the guy who does more crying about someones K/D You can't talk to half the player base they live off the rule of " i have to be the biggest assclown" It's so easy to P2W with the jt weapons anyone new, lacking extra cash, or simpley does not want to use JT is going to struggle to fight anyone Rampet speed hackers. ENfos now hacking to quick fire and aimbot LTL Speed hackers choosing enfo to use LTL. Getting JT for any of the good weapons takes months without events. and perma are 5k JT plus making it stupid difficult to get any. Unfair spots in missions almost always getting enfos the avantge over the crims. I.E waterfront has several spots that favor enfos Matches deciding that you plus two Ts should face 3 golds. as a bonus there premade, and there sweating there asses off because theres a nano chance of the T 500 meters away staring at a catgirl nice lady charcters butt might kill them People rage TKing. People rage swaping People who only know how to use car bomb over priced AH items and being used as a storage box. Almost all songs/themes sound the same People who think i care they have been playing since x and have x hours. People crying about dump trucks people who have to grief you and chase you around the map. Social is always full of porn Readding a gun that they took out. as a prelocked tempery from a high level contact that can take weeks if not months to unlock. THis is all i can think of right now, but this is basically your avarge hour in APB. expect to win 1-3 missions out 10-15. if you stay that long Even with good teammates it's a pain to win missions 1
Victoria97 22 Posted Saturday at 08:05 AM (edited) The thing is APB is no longer so toxic because there is basically nobody left. The player base is now around 100-150 during weekends at best. All the old player base moved to other games long ago. The APB community used to be most toxic hideous community i grew up with. So did you two. So did we all. When i discovered APB via friend irl, I joined 2013 i was literally 15 years old. I was in puberty, we all were. Quid pro quo. I used to behave towards people how they behaved towards me. I was sweetheart and nice towards ppl who earned it, and i was toxic towards those who were bullying me. With that said, you have to realize that your feedback was negative because your feedback was given to player base where oldest person at the time was maybe and i say maaaybe 18 years old. Aside few cases where i heard that fathers of kids aged 40-50 played APB in 2013. So what did you expect? Nowadays all those who remain in the game are most likely all old veterans like you me and others who play this game since 2012 or before and who play it out nostalgia and who are here only till the end. Be certain there are no new gamers...if there are...they are minority. With that said i returned to APB after uninstalling in 2019, and i returned last year around september just before the Halloween event to check things up. I have to say ntec is not meta anymore, the only true meta is 45 pistol. Its used literally by everybody...legits and hackers. APB as such was never f2p game and thats bs. Premium is given already for years...you can earn money easier than ever before when we used to pay for premium with real money. Everybody can farm joker tickets...you can earn 50+150+200 in FC...meaning per week in both FC's you can earn 800 jt every single week. For every major event you can earn thousands of jt's. For Easter event this year for just dropping by for tasks i earned around 5000 jts. So its f2p game..you can permanently buy all those "p2w" weapons you keep talking about...yes it needs grinding but if you truly cant give 10 dollars for a game and get it all in blink of an eye..then yes..grind. Still its not p2w game because you can get permanently all weapons others buy for irl money. As for streamers they were always the problem of APB..but nowadays...there are literally no streamers left... last one i seen Kempington few months ago...and that was it.. he too came back for the old sake time. Rest if there are any...they can have 2-3 viewers because there are literally nobody left in apb. As to the expression APB is dying...if you are around long enough you will agree that we are all saying and were saying that every single month every single year....i hear people saying apb is dying ever since i joined apb and look its 2025 and its still not dead. One day it will die but it wont be anytime soon. As long as there are players and there will always be at least 50 players around. With all this said idk why are you butthurted with opinions of kids @Reprimand. On 7/18/2025 at 12:49 AM, Reprimand said: -snip- You gave feedback you got grudge all these years and did it pay off? No. You just have to grow over it and grow up like we all did eventually. Some didnt mentally. Golds were always assholes...it was always about ego... those legit golds tryhard in groups day and night playing at least 8-9 hours every single day...repetative missions..for years. Others download cheats and feel good about being "good" in ancient game with 10 players population. So what..ignore them. Come back...play and try to have fun. Meet good people there are many many good people i met in APB...with some of them i became friends irl...i also met some pretty sick people..mentally disturbing but thats where /ignore button comes handy. The main issue of toxicity is that we all used to accept every critics to heart...every troll would get to your emotions... every pleasant fellow would leave mark on you. Now when i am 27 years old i laugh to all of it. And thats how you gotta take life...as you grow older the less you will care the more mature you will be. I used to make youtube videos to help beginners of APB as well.. i was mocked, threatened, stalked, abused, bullied all whatnot...but i did it anyway and ignored the haters. I collected fan base of maybe 10 people and those 10 people meant world to me vs all the 500-600 who were toxic kids. But i got a lot of praise from few actual beginners who i did help a lot with ram raiding tips, designing tips, using basic decals to create locked out decals etc. Just when i think of amount of bullying where i had to prove that i am female to every random demanding guy who would shit that no girls play apb and when they were proven they would harass me to go to kitchen because games are for men or they would turn to stalkers and cringe wannabe funny trolls... i all took it to the heart...it were so many dark years..and then..i simply grew over it and realized one true fact...have fun...use ignore..and dont concern yourself with opinions of random strangers you will never encounter irl. Thats a tip i give to you too.. Stop caring what people tell you... dont be toxic just because others are toxic towards you...ignore the cancer and be a good guy and you will eventually meet others who think alike and you will surround yourself with positive vibes positive people and you will start to have fun actually. If you want to come to APB today...know that majority of toxic immature kids are gone from apb... now are left only gold tryhard veterans and cheaters and few good people. Player base used to be in thousands...now its in tens..literally. From those 20 people in social 19 are afk. Try to have fun and ignore ill hearted monsters. Golden rule. VanilleKeks 756 Posted 14 hours ago I don't think this game is any more toxic than any other PVP game where you put X random strangers into the same match. This is the same phenomenon that I always mention with cheating throughout the years (although right now that one is really off the scale). With the low pop per district and low pop overall, if you get stuck with a real downer of a person you're very likely run into them over and over for that session. I've played many competitive shooters and those are much worse imo because it's way easier to go off on a player that you're unlikely to queue into again. This diminishes as you get higher in ranks and gain a reputation. The pop in APB is so small that sticking out in any way will put a mark on you but that's not APBs fault. It's just part of being in a small community. That said I would definitely like to see more consequences for behaving like a real doodoohead in game. I believe there's more toxic/idiot players in this game than others when considered of how small the player population is at this current state.
