Serious question

Why does Little Orbit not add these existing clothes to APB for players to buy or use????
There is multiple characters in social other than this one that have unique clothes that they wear and we cannot even buy or use. Including guns aswell, it feels like such a easy content addition for Little Orbit to do...
Sofia's outfit is fire... Also another question I had the other day that would possibly boost your income Little Orbit, is why can't we gift people anything in the game? We can't buy any joker items for our friends or even g1c???
These seem like easy additions to your game that would not only boost income but make people come back to unlock the new outfits and guns.

Sofia's outfit would be constantly clipping through your legs while running or through the ground while crouching. I think it would be a worthy sacrifice to make but still it would look pretty dumb.

Gifting used to be a thing but it was abused: you make an alt account, gift stuff to your main account, request a chargeback, LO loses the money, the alt account gets banned but you get to keep the stuff on your main account

The guns, the other characters that have nice outfits, sofias boots, leather straps, underwear... all things that can be used aside from her coat. And the gifting thing sounds like an excuse not to try again. There is plenty of other games that have gifting that dont have any issue.

Been asked many a time and the answer will always be no because the social contacts are Unique not just in visual appearance but also rigging.  Sofia's boots and garters are the only thing that could be recycled but the rest of her outfit is entirely unusable as characters don't have the rigging required nor the animations.  Same goes for Charlotte's skirt.

 

La Rocha's stuff is a bunch of separate parts and wouldn't fit within player customization technical aspects.

Sooo... what your telling me is that the team at little orbit are not talented enough to add rigging to existing assets? 

 

So we can go look at youtube tutorials for every game engine that will show users how to incorporate bones, rigging and additional animations..or how to take out specific items from static meshes.

 

But somehow that is out of the question when it comes to little orbit?

 

You guys give so many excuses for incompetence.. no wonder why this game is in the state it is today.

I mean many people would be happy to do that even for free, someone made a proper p90 animation like 8 years ago, but G1 just wasn't interested, idk about LO

I would genuinely love to know why they didn't want to put community made stuff into the game

especially that p90 animation, it's just an animation, it's not like code where you can comment out your racist or whatever bigoted rant and sneak it into the game

Guess it's based on principles about not letting anyone outside the company in the "machine room" .. I can understand that.

You do realize APB is a multiple miles of custom code that im pretty sure is only internally documented at best.  LO have tried to add some animations to no avail and the character system is unique unto itself.

 

No amount of snorting UE3 documentation is gonna answer questions on custom systems built by a team 20 years ago.
