12/26 MAINTENANCE ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello everyone,

 

Our standard weekly maintenance will be held this Thursday (12/26) starting at 9 AM UTC. The game should be back up and running in 4 to 8 hours.

I'm happy with the new updates, and it's nice to die a few times to the Colby as well as other underloved weapons.

 

I do think that there needs to be a cultural shift in the way that the game handles its problems, specifically cheating, abuse and griefing. 

 

I know there's a rule against naming and shaming players who are (suspected of) cheating, but more so there should be a way for players to air out their grievances on the forums so others can recognise what to look for in cheating, warning signs and even ways to counteract it (without violating the TOS).

 

MageLO, Matt, whoever else is reading this, please add a report section to the forums. There is a backlog of tickets and I think it would help divert some of the time away from the staff there onto volunteers and GMs. I know people are talking about GMs getting ban powers, but some of your greatest eyes and ears feel like they are being ignored and it definitely kills games when the cheater is on either side and you have to watch them sop up all the kills while you wait for it to end. It's unrewarding, uneventful and just plain sucks.

 

Adding a feature in game for players to kick, or even giving more powers for people to catch out cheaters would go a long way rather than relying on anti-cheat and footage. Not all of us have the luxury of filming, cutting and editing then sending a ticket for each specific cheater, so there needs to be a faster way to get this sorted, I feel.

 

Other than that, I think things are moving in the right direction, I know how stretched thin you are, and there's a lot of discontent, but I'm glad you haven't given up.

 

Merry Christmas and I truly hope you can implement a feature that allows people to speak out about these issues constructively.

The whole idea of putting cheaters v cheaters is hogwash cuz then, 

they've had me 'Shadow banned for years' cuz its always stacked gold teams. 

Not that they are the only hackers, plenty of silvers aimbot.

Now that doesn't mean I insist that golds are all hax, there are a few 

that were taught manners and morals. 

 Staff seem decent but Matt insane and thinks long time players are stupid.

Man said himself that these programs cost money for low population games, and We in NA 

are low pop. EU has average or high pop. So the Man or staff owe me an answer just based on 

Matts statement about cost of anticheats. Again Is it ON in N.A. ???

Your 'Cross District' only would apply to eu, cuz NA wont have the pop cuz of hackers, to need it. 

You got no sound kits for cars outside of pre existing. 

You expect me to not get a truck and smash all your toxics, but you let them do it all day.

Your software is suppose to find these people by it self, including the truck trolls. 

You said they would in prior ama's. Literally nothing has changed.

 But You gonna try to turn things around on me n say the ones I think are Legit are really the hax. 

So the 3 players in NA including myself are hackers now, and all the perfect aimers aren't.
