yassine1337 0 Posted June 17, 2018 (edited) hey guys, I always get the error that APB has ran out of memory. The internet says its a 32 bit problem but my system is 64 bit. my System: Windows 10 i7 8700k 32gb RAM 1080TI Edited June 17, 2018 by yassine1337
Kevkof 806 Posted June 17, 2018 your system should indeed be 64bit, but the apb application is still only a 32 bit program. Though I'm not sure if that is the cause or not, but that explains the 32 bit part
ElectroStingz 53 Posted June 17, 2018 (edited) Hello, Did you install Windows 10 as the 64bit version? (depends on the install media, some can be created as 32bit only, some give you the option) Edited June 17, 2018 by ElectroStingz
yassine1337 0 Posted June 17, 2018 System says 64 bit OS , x64-based CPU
ElectroStingz 53 Posted June 17, 2018 (edited) Are you running default settings, not overclocking the PC? Do all other games work fine? And the latest nvidia drivers. When does the error pop up, does APB actually run ok for a bit? Maybe the 11GB on your GTX 1080Ti is an issue, do you have an older GFX card to test? Assuming an older GFX card worked it may imply the above. Some newer motherboards also have an option in the BIOS which may help with such a problem, look in your BIOS for this option, (Similar wording to these.) Above 4G memory remapping. Above 4G decoding. Edited June 17, 2018 by ElectroStingz
yassine1337 0 Posted June 17, 2018 everything is OC. CPU at 5.1GHZ and GPU at 2.0GHZ every game works fine driver is 397.93 so not the most recent the error pops up randomly sometimes i play for a few hours sometimes for a few minutes it pops up a few times a day i never have any problems with ram or the gpu It seems that apb cant utilize more than 3GB ram maybe that will be fixed in the future with a newer engine

ElectroStingz 53 Posted June 17, 2018 Thanks for the info KEVKOF. Without overclocking yassine1337 does it crash? (different game engine can have different outcomes)

DragonHummer 2 Posted June 18, 2018 I am not sure if this will be a fix for u , but i had the same problem "ran out of memory " isnt really a ram issue , its hard disk issue APB uses a lot of disk memory while playing , it loads districts , characters , cars...etc , and that consumes a lot of space on disk i kept an eye on my partition where i have my game saved , it was decreasing like 1 giga every 30 mins , till it ran out of space then game crashed try to free around 20-30 gigas in partition of the game , hope it will help you. Dahel 17 Posted June 20, 2018 (edited) try use tskmngr to trace what is going on. simple monitoring after join district, 1-2-3-4 minutes, what been drained, RAM or HDD. abnormal - when apb exe uses over 6gb or ram. normal when 3-5gb and it is "flushes" frequently 1-3 seconds of delay automatically any unused files/cache. did ya tried run os with "windows clean boot" ? did ya tried repair a game? launcher -> option -> repair Edited June 20, 2018 by Dahel
