OTW incorrect version with only textedit config files

So with my config files (only text based edits) on OTW the client decides to not let me in and tells me my version is incorrect.

 

I've tried removing the patch files and .xml files and repair the game with the launcher but it refuses to let me in the game.

Log says:

If I try to launch the launcher it  updates my config  and reverts the changes.

In some files there is a version number, make sure that your version number is correct in those files.

The APBprogram seems to be off, but it gets that from the launcher. I even removed it and forced reinstalled it and yet the same issue occurs. It gives me the version:

1.19.5.789517

 

When updated it still gives me this version.

Apparently it worked by adding the original's APBCompat.ini [AppHWConstraintsBucket1] 2 and 3 all in the custom config (and change if needed) then I was allowed to join the server.

That would explain why my config worked. I'm just editing the default config.
