2 new APB_Catcher processes every launch, don't close

When launching the game two new APB_Catcher_exe processes get created and they do not automatically get closed as you close the game.

Intended behavior would be... well, maybe one catcher upon start or one upon crash - and them automatically closing some time after the game is closed.

 

Since OP in 

created the thread in an off section and closed it since "the game isn't fun anymore" (which seems a bit unrelated, but okay), is busy talking about merging EU and NA and creating more threads... and didn't bother to submit a bug report instead... I figured I should.

why tf does (dot)exe get replaced with "program"

IDK why youre even bringing that up in the first place on another post when you can just reply to the issues you have brought up on the original thread that is still open, just kinda seems like youre trying to talk shit lol 😛

because i could've known you spam the ceo :^)

it's also not like it's a pressing or even remotely urgent issue, so i think creating a normal bug report is the way to go.

i did look in this section too (which is the only where it should be in...)

 

as far as i'm concerned you made mods close it "because the game isn't fun" (as also stated in the OP :))

well sorry, i do have to try, whereas it comes naturally for others.

 

(on a side note, no need to quote op.)

I got that problem too. So I always need to go to task manager to close the apb catcher <.>

i hope the staffs will fix that problem quickly.

Seems to be a problem with me, 

(Could potentially keep me from launching apb even)
*even after restart

*going to try a fresh install for the second time

if windows 10 fast startup is enabled it will not 'close' anything, it just puts the pc to hibernate and wakes it again

i made a short batch file to delete the 2 un-needed exe files before and after patching

you will need to make a shortcut to the launcher and put the bat in the apb root folder, since any files in apb folders are removed during the patching

 

apb.bat  (change all the cd /d location to fit the apb binaries location on your pc)

i played APB on Sunday for a couple of hours since .... (whenever LO got this game i played this a few hours back at that time) ..... and this issue happened to me

still does not exit

APB_Catcher is still left on task manager

 

VivoxVoiceService seems to exit properly now

Yeah well, the exception handler seemingly doesn`t want to close after pressing "Exit APB" propberly.
