The problem will be the same, after new content is added and grinded within week or two we ll go back to stalled nothingness. Solution is that new content in shape of new cars clothes weapons are added regularly every 3-4 months with more often events. Even if the event is not big it would still give motivation to people to come around and go by check what is new.
The event can be simply 500 jts and maybe new title every 1st in every 3rd month. Anything really.
This way we practically got only 3 events per year, Halloween, Xmas and Easter. And that is about it.

Popularity of the game has noticeably dropped not recently but ever since february when APB was down for almost 1 month and when they added cross districts MM.
Waiting half an hour for a mission just so you will get opposed against premade 4 golds, whilst your team mates are unfairly under capacity, makes you rq the mission and attempt to get 2nd mission which repeats itself and that ultimately makes you rq the game and simply move on to next game.
Cross districts MM is ultimate last nail into the coffin of APB. Its time consuming, during wait all you can do is stare into the screen, the MM is still unfair with entire mission balance, you get three level 50 ranks against 4 rank 270 golds and that is happening non stop.
At this time only more often new content and fix of MM can help the APB to maintain this 400 people. If this 400 people drop to <100 population I myself will stop bothering logging into APB and APB goes off my pc.

What do you think influences the players' interest in the game? New content? Not for ever.
The new content is a beautiful glowing invitation banner.
Newcomers come to this game thanks to a screaming banner about a unique customization system (which the developers have long given up on). The opportunity to express oneself through creativity, the opportunity to demonstrate this creativity to interested people is APB. Skirmishes, factional rivalry - all this is the background. I don't understand why developers put the background ahead of the main action. Perhaps a bunch of close "experts" can be blamed for this. The discussion on the number of rounds in the AP 45 and similar nonsense has been dragging on for years.
APB is a very crappy online shooter. This worst part of the game has become the main one. An unoptimized, lagging piece of shit, the victory in which depends only on the degree of modification of the client, mouse settings and the conscience of the player.
Developers openly support third-party applications that affect performance, and therefore advantage. This is the bottom of the swamp.

Twitch is a good advertising platform. What kind of ads do viewers see for the game? Developing a new fashion or car design (self-expression)? Team clan work (social component)? No! Viewers see another jumping idiot with potato graphics and Nokia 3310 phone screen resolution. This is the bottom of the bottom of the swamp!
New content, another anti-cheat will not keep players in a game where everything that can be broken has been broken.
Adding a leaderboard and God forbid clan wars will destroy the game completely. It will begin with the harvest and end with self-devouring.

  2. The popularity of the game has noticeably dropped recently. Perhaps this is due to the fact that developers are throwing dwarfs at the target in the office? The problems of the game are solved for a very long time, or they are not solved at all. Adding new content adds new challenges. The game is dying just like the Russian version of the game was dying. Exactly the same.

  3. The problem is that the NTEC and AP 45 players are aiming for maximum productivity. To do this, most of them use various tricks to gain an advantage. This is getting to the point of absurdity. Twitch streams are an example of this.
The most popular reviews in the Steam contain approximately the same message.: There are a lot of scammers in the game, the game is lagging, the meta weapon dominates. I am one of the 300 regular players and I can dispute these claims. But who needs it?
The new player draws conclusions based on common sense. There's not much common sense in this game. As an example, I can cite jumping snipers, pistol shooters moving at supersonic speed from side to side, and so on.
Over the 15 years of the project's existence, the successful experience of the game has degraded and fallen to the very bottom. At the moment, it all comes down to exploiting various loopholes, use bugs, using third-party graphics configurations and management settings. No balancing of weapon characteristics, no anti-cheat will help here.

  4. Why combine gold and bronze players in one mission at all? It's like playing with kittens. It's annoying when escalation is triggered automatically. Especially at the end of a mission. The reinforcements don't even have time to reach the battlefield. The commander has to answer angry messages after the mission about not calling for reinforcements.

  5. Why doesn't the third port district appear? The other two districts are completely filled. The inter-district selection of players is working.
Why doesn't the game distribute players by skill level using the new player selection system?
Let's say if the number of players is 80, the game tends to fill 2 districts. If there are 100 players, the game switches to the mode of distributing players by skill level, dividing them into 3, 4, 5 districts.

  6. People don't like surprises. Kevlar is one of them. Something like: - Haha, I'm the great father of the game, now I'm going to kill this noob with my AP45 pistol. A noob kills the father of the game. The father of the game looks at the characteristics of the noob, trying to justify himself in losing. And here it is! Saving excuse - Kevlar 3. The father of the game is justified, the noob has heard many new words about his close relatives. Classic.

  7. Players pay tax from the auction, buy ammunition and supplies so that the market is not oversupplied with currency. The price of a piece of clothing is most likely not determined by anything. This function is needed to withdraw money from the game.

In fact, you are outraged by the difficulties that the game creates. But it doesn't get interesting to play without difficulties. I do not support the current policy of simplifying the gameplay. All the innovations that make the game more convenient and flat kill the interest in the game.

Here are examples of such simplifications:
Disabling VIP missions, reducing the speed of loaded vehicles, automatically replenishing ammunition, adding respawn points to vehicles, degrading the danger level system...
All these innovations are designed for a limited circle of people who worship the cult of jumping snipers and AP 45 pistols. I would call them flat-earths, or rather flat-gamers.

  8. Has the game improved after fixing the animation of boarding the car? I'm afraid not. This innovation is confusing because of the too large range.
Why aren't developers addressing escalation issues? You created it yourself! Finish it at last! Why do we need these useless crossings to the area where the mission ended? Why do I need an automatic escalation call? Especially at the end of the mission?
Why is the load transfer error ignored? This is disrupting the game!
The number of interested players playing now is an indicator of the pointless efforts of the developers. STOP SPOILING THE GAME WITH YOUR DEVELOPMENTS! OR AT LEAST CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF!

I think that your skill level is questionable, considering the hyperbole in your statements.
Based on what data do you exclaim that "the game is full of cheaters"?
The game currently has a population of ~300 players.
Out of those players, the amount of times I've faced a blatant cheater can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
As for "closets", I think they're a even smaller minority in this 300 pop game. Most of the "closet" accusations are usually worse players baselessly attacking better players for outplaying them.

In the situation you described, there is a huge problem that is caused by a set of disadvantages of various game systems. A silver-level player is less aware of the various loopholes in game mechanics. He draws conclusions based on his gaming experience in other projects. Imagine an opponent with OCA Whisper, graphics configuration, automatic running.  OCA Whisper does not affect the Silver player's health interface in any way. The graphics configuration removes the problem of stuttering. Automatic running allows you to change the direction of movement instantly. This gives a great advantage, but for some reason it is not a scam. How does a gold player differ from a cheater in the eyes of a silver player? Nothing.

  10. A typical silver with a detonator in a car appears once out of a hundred times.… Oh, yes, this is a huge problem for short-sighted idiots who know how to shoot and do not know how to think and draw conclusions.
Maybe we should add a sprint delay timer after dropping a heavy object?
Maybe we should add some kind of restriction when calling escalation by an idiot leader?
Maybe you should limit the escalation call if the mission timer is less than 2 minutes?
Maybe should I add the task points to the map before entering the area?
Maybe it's worth repairing the OPGL grenade collision, and removing the stupid crutch from the game that changes the trajectory of grenades and missiles near cars.
Maybe it's worth improving the characteristics of shotguns, reducing the unpredictability of damage?
Maybe we should return the bullet collision to the cars of third-party players? And to combat the problem of grifers, make cars vulnerable to bullets outside of missions?
Maybe it's worth changing how the Piercing modifier works? By adding a wall thickness measurement. This will make it possible not to change the collision of armored glass fences.
Maybe it's worth prohibiting the use of client modifications and the use of ultra-low graphics settings?
    This list can be continued.…
There are a lot of problems in the game that cause the WTF question!!??? These problems have not been solved for years. New problems are being added to these problems, and they also remain unresolved (hello escalation). I am sure that the leaderboards will also cause problems not only of a technical nature, but also problems of interaction between players. And these problems will also be ignored.
You have been running from anti-cheat to anti-cheat for many years, each time claiming that a bright future would come. And then, in a few months, they made their own anti-cheat.… If it works, then you're fu.....ng magicians.

  11. Kaspersky anti-virus blocks the download of launcher updates. Why don't you fk write about it anywhere? I came across reviews in steam. The dude writes that the game was closed and it's all a hoax. I came across questions in third-party forums. Why the hell don't you write about such things? I thought the European servers were down.

  12. How about refining what you've already added to the game. For example, an automatic call for help. The whole team is out of the game because they are playing against cheaters. I stay alone and just wait. Suddenly, the game itself calls for help. Although the mission counter is less than one minute.
Another example. I go to the area where the mission started, but I don't know where to respawn because I can't see the place where the mission takes place.

  13. Added many extra car spawning spots to existing Car Spawners around Financial.

What kind of cars are we talking about? I hope we are talking about NPS cars. If that's not the case, then it's a bad idea. Numerous requests come from players who aim to increase efficiency. Of course, a Vegas 4x4 is better than a Moral picked up on the street.  Because of this, there are a lot of identical Vegas 4x4 cars on the streets. The mission of capturing the point becomes hell due to the constant spam of the revived players.

Hopefully, the appearance of the leaderboard will not lead to endless escalation and complete disregard for mission objectives. In my opinion, the main indicator of effectiveness in mission districts is the fulfillment of the mission objective and the victory in the mission.

Why are you ignoring performance issues related to graphics settings? Third-party applications and graphics configurations have become so commonplace that your game seems like some kind of garbage on twitch.

This isn't APB's fault. It runs on Nvidia and AMD's latest GPUs. It runs on Windows and Linux. It doesn't need DX12. It barely utilizes DX9. The only graphics intense part of APB is the particles, and that's because APB overuses them, going against Epic's best practices for Unreal Engine 3. It will be far less work if they reworked a few particles like vehicle explosions, muzzle flash, and blood.

The RX580 card provides 90 fps at high graphics settings. FPS drops to 25 frames if you arrange a 4-on-4 match with NFAS weapons. This is a typical example of an no optimized use of particle effects.

  15. Why is the health interface not working? I have a clean client, the health interface option is enabled, and a high level of graphics. I'm sick of wondering how much health a character has. This is the main reason for losing a fight. I would like to note that the health interface works, for example, on sniper rifles and shotguns. But it is absent on other types of weapons. Most likely, one of the main parameters of the weapon is responsible for the operation of the health interface, most likely this parameter is the traumatic effect.

The new Anti-cheat still isn't out yet. The 8 hour cooldown you're seeing was an issue with some new hardware they brought back, one of the waterfront instances was running a time that was out of sync from the rest, causing the bug with cooldowns.

There's been no anti-cheat for some months now since they discontinued their deal with SARD.

Thank you for your detailed answer.
