I was in social and counted 5 people that disappeared during the January ban Hammer this year and now they are back. Extremely blatant players that literally killed the game over a span of years under many accounts and different clans with the same objective - kill player retention. AND now they are unbanned some so blatant they admitted on ffbans to the offense. Those that got banned during L.O made youtube videos to mock us and even streamed on TWITCH. I took screenshots of conversations with these individuals and it just crushes me that L.O. would go this low to boost up player count. I am truly saddened by this move. One in particular has a reputation (Shall not be named) that EVERYONE here knows by name. Honestly this is so wrong. Why would you give them a chance? They didn't give a the community anything but grief and anger over the years, yes, YEARS. Sad day. Maybe, nobody cares at this point? I guess I just need to give up my account and move on maybe. 😢

Well @MattScott did clearly state on kempington's stream that there would be a mass unbanning except those who were found to have been a result of credit card fraud ect..., So don't look so shocked about it.

    Hello,

I know there is volunteering to help the community and GM's, but it seems to come with many responsibilities and time consuming manner.

I have a suggestion to have a volunteering team solely to monitor cheaters and nothing else, as cheaters seem to be a big issue and downside to the game.

I can somewhat understand why volunteering is closed right now, as it probably takes time and practice to train a new volunteer on all the different roles they do, therefore I offer a split department or team to work on cheaters only.

It should give the volunteers and GM's more space and freedom, as the volunteers won't be peering through every single report and complaint and only focus on cheaters. While GM's won't need to train them on all topics, like bug management, harassment, etc.

    Please consider this.

    Thank you for reading!

I personally don't think LO would just simply hand you the right to actually ban players w/out conclusive evidence let alone the power to do so cause really because not even the Volunteer GM's are allowed to do so they're only really there to keep the peace amongst the players  (PS. I'm not defending those who are suspected of cheating), But really what it seems here you're being power hungry by saying you want to help but really LO have a ticket system/ a anti-cheat in place for a reason and as it stands until they need more volunteer's apply then and not ask.

Gaming sometimes can make people angry or i should say losing in a game can make people angry. Thats where sportsmanship comes into place but not everybody develops it and it takes time to develop. And sometimes even after having sportsmanship people do get mad when they lose due to not their or their teammates but due to the game's own shortcomings like server side lag or bugs which makes everybody mad and its alright to get mad at this. And these problems are very common in apb. As a newbie and till reached i 1500 hours i was kind of a player who used to get mad and pissed of a lot and rage quit but somehow after crossing 1500 hours i developed this godly trait of not giving a fuck. Now this game is my favorite no matter how shitty the game or the community is and ive even learned various ways to reduce or never get mad all together so i thought of sharing these tips. Here you go!

Eat while you play - i munch on dry fruits, vegetable salads or any kind of light and healthy food while i play. Though it kinda sometimes distracts me from gameplay but i become more playful and happy when im playing while eating stuff.

Talk with people - get a good microphone or just use the chatting system and talk with people while playing. i dont think the population is that low that you will fail to find people who can speak or write English. Apb does not have bots so every player on this game is a human behind a screen with his/her own life different then yours. So much to know! just talk!

Customize your character/cars /// make symbols/themes - A huge reason why im still playing apb is cus of this. Customization in apb is unparalleled. Theres so much you can do. i especially love dressing up my character the most. there is so much cool clothing on citadel. Though i play on jericho but im still able to find cool outfits by talking with people or whispering designers from marketplace. changing how my character's looks makes me feel refreshed and anew. First thing i do after logging in apb is checkout social for new clothes.

Dont play more than 3 hours straight - take a break. do something else like watch porn and masturbate, read a manga/novel,watch anime, browse apb forums or myanimelist do your your homework, talk with your parents/friends, hang outside, do house chores, grocery shopping, take a stroll outside or just go to work. whatever the fq.

Theres also one more point that i would like to share but have mixed feeling about it.

shit talk - when i was a newbie i used to shit talk on distract chat and insult everybody who used to rekt me by whispering them insults/hackusating them and then ignoring them. i just wanted to let it all out cuz it helped me lift off my rage Though i swear that i didnt mean anything i said to them and a lot of times i even apologized to them. Do you guys think that letting it all out by shit talking is a good way to reduce rage? i personally dont feel its a good way even though it helped me.

Dont play in Groups -  Only play in groups if your someone who have faith in his/her skills /// someone with a microphone who can use voice chat  /// someone who have just started playing /// someone who dont give a fuck about anything.

The most rage quits ive seen is from my own group mates who quit after getting rekt repeatedly while playing with me. If even one of you suck then theres a high chance that your going to get rekt repeatedly. why repeatedly? cuz your stuck with a not so good teammate and dont have the advantage that random matchmaking gives which is randomly matching you up with someone who plays good.

If you wanna group up anyway then tell your partner(s) in advance that you suck.

These are all the points that i can think of at this moment. do you peeps have more to add?

Do you agree or disagree with any of these?

Do you think one should play a game even if it makes you angry?

Why do people play games if that makes them angry?

    lemme know whatever you think!

    peace~

Yes dad, I'll be sure to turn off n brush my teeth and be ready for bed so i get a good night sleep, NOW WHERE'S MY BEDTIME STORY DAMMIT!?

  4. I would say the true test would be when UE 3.5/4 (Well hopefully by the time 4 is released that LO would have enough data in making their firewall tighter to stop brute force client side attacks) is released and to see how easy it would be to truly DDoS'ed to do brute force client side attacks.

No offense, but a GM event with a low playerbase isn't going to work out. I think a better event would be to do a Kill event, to win prizes, money, premium.  Just kill players to win prizes, would make more sense. That way everyone would get a chance to win prizes. Please do it before the weekend starts.

    Hmmmmmm......,🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Obviously you didn't read that properly. You must have heightened emotions, considering the subject at hand. I simply said the I like to take in first hand the status of the game before nodding my head in agreement to anything spat on these forums.

If they claim they are concerned for the game, it would be in a completely different state of being. And they wouldn't be doing the same things that Gamersfirst had. Which is, take slow resolutions to a problem that needs quickened results.

Not everything is done overnight maybe you should know this, And in despite of G1's lack of communication i would say LO is doing a better job at being communicative than G1 ever was and believe me i read what you said quite clearly but you're just being another player that can't grasp how things are first tested before being rolled out on the live servers so maybe cut them some slack and actually be patient for once.

I actually do pay attention to the forums. But as someone who likes to think for himself, I prefer to get the firsthand experience. Because most perceptions on this forum seems to be jaded. Resulting in unoriginal, not really helpful, and lacking posts such as this.

Constantly saying "add it to the pile" doesn't contribute anything towards Little Orbit actually making the effort needed to make the changes required for this game to actually be a success. So ultimately you're enforcing the idea that they can passively sit back and let this game die off, after making the investment to try and turn things around.

I only think of myself? Bold statement considering you're complaining on a subject that's been known for quite some time so again read the fine print before posting, Oh also I'm not even enforcing that LO should turn a blind eye to what's going on but until you actually open yours first and read thoroughly on the forums then perhaps you'll find the answer you seek.

Yeah I logged in yesterday. Essentially the entire game was a ghost town for a few hours with populations Jericho server in the single digits.

After that period of time things picked up, but it was still pathetic numbers. Some definitely hacking, others attempting to play legit. But of course it wasn't as though legit players really stood a chance.

This game has tanked worse under your management compared to the prior ownership, and it shows by your poor moderation to combat the cheating. Easily there can be a GM sitting in, and watching the district with how the population was. That action alone would generate good faith in players who are veterans to this game and have invested in its future in the past.

In its current state, I would vomit from the idea of giving any of my money to its development while a blind eye is being turned to its long lived primary problem. Fix it, or you have simply made a hollow investment to contribute to its death.

No matter how much you throw glitter on the game, it'll still be fecal matter with the lack of attention you're actually giving it. Instead of pandering to what's left of the games players with extra game modes, acknowledge a problem and admit that it's something that needs to be dealt with.

This probable came off as harsh, but it's out of appreciation for something that I have made lifelong friends and memories on while playing. To see it sink in the way that it has is heartbreaking.

Add it to the pile of things that the community already know's clearly someone that doesn't pay enough attention on the forums about the game's initial state even without logging in read the fine print and perhaps you'll find the answer you seek, End if discussion.
