I wouldn't mind the pioneer and espacio being slower as long as they can tank an omsaw shot again.

That's the key detail people keep missing.

Durable vehicles should be tanks, but slow.

Fast vehicles should be fast, but paper thin.

Currently, the top end vehicles have both durability and speed, which makes all other choices completely obsolete and objectively wrong to choose.

I bought the rfp fang and it was nerfed the day after..I bought the manic and it was nerfed the day after..never used those two guns again.

Buffs/nerfs are whatever. If they're taken too far, they can always be pulled back a bit or reverted. That change being made to Fang fundamentally changes the gun. It's not just a stat adjustment for balance reasons, it's a change to the baseline behavior. That's not okay to do without compensation for existing owners.

I have very much been of the mindset that they should add one slot secondaries. This could all be prevented.

Only reason we don't have them is because the current UI can't support it, from what has been said in the past. That being said, secondaries should absolutely be limited to only a single slot, and that slot should only accept T1 mods. Otherwise, every secondary becomes a pocket primary, which is just dumb and breaks the already tenuous game balance.

Because like I mentioned above these changes are a revert to the RFP that people liked and felt vastly superior to play

The ridiculous sprint penalty (which you conveniently didn't showcase) that was slapped on the gun to neuter its hipfire wasn't removed though.

Ya'll need to stop making changes to the RFP by only looking at the Fang. Like holy shit.

EDIT: Also, adjust the change to IR1 instead of HS3, or refund the G1C to everyone who owns Fang because fundamental changes aren't something you can just push like this. I purchased the Fang for it having IR, not for it having HS.

They accidentally nerfed the range too much on the .45, then decided to leave the bug in place. It went from having reasonable dropoff damage, to now dealing no damage if a player moves a few meters.

Good. Secondaries should be secondaries, not pocket primaries. The 45 is still absurdly overtuned, but the nerf is a step in the right direction.

Can we please get some Inventory Extenders as rewards please? We desperately need some.

So much this. ARMAS sale is literally worthless for someone like me, who has a maxed out weapon locker. We need extensions for all inventory types, as everyone has one or more inventories that are maxed out at this point. It's been several years since the last expansions were released, it's beyond time.

Not getting it (yet). But to those who have it
    Cheetah M2/Raptor SRX + Kit
Is this include an account bound mikro or is it just the kits for crim and enf?
    thx

It includes the vehicle. You can also purchase additional copies of the vehicle for effectively free from the vehicle shop, like with other ARMAS vehicle purchases. None of these are tradable, of course, like with all ARMAS vehicles.

  8. Someone ran a question by me just now, and while I vaguely remember the option existing in Advanced Launcher, I wouldn't even begin to know what specific setting(s) to adjust (haven't used the thing other than messing around with it when it first released, out of curiosity). Is there a way to make spraypoints not show up for yourself? Like obviously not disable them from being sprayable, just making anything that players spray on them simply not show up for you. This would be useful for preventing questionable content that people spray up on them, to avoid things like Twitch ToS etc.

Is this going to be effective, or do I need to provide video clips, or possibly insert my stream channel?

It's known that /report doesn't do anything other than return that "report submitted" or w/e message in chat. It doesn't submit anything, people have already proven this by tracking the game's network data and seeing that there's no outbound packets when the command is processed.

Depends on when you tested and i guess where.

Existing knowledge of the audio from moderate usage of the vehicle throughout my time with the game, going all the way back to CBT over a decade ago. All districts that accept vehicle use, both day and night, and in both Enforcer and Criminal factions. Basically, I know my way around the jeep. It's not my primary vehicle, not by a long shot, but I use it plenty enough to have a solid understanding of its issues (most of which have already been fixed over the years).

Sorta wish i had dev tools to see what the car was doing but between the top speed increase and the gear speed increase i genuinely didn't perceive a difference in the Vaquero's behavior.

The difference is purely auditory, to be clear. Actual gameplay performance remains unchanged as far as I can tell.

Kinda wish i had done some before/after clips

Same, but it never crosses my mind to do so. With the amount of issues this game has been having since the 64bit upgrade, I really should just start recording all my gameplay... It's not like Shadowplay has any performance impact, and it's not like I lack SSD space.

  11.

BTW @SkittyM it looks like this attempt at fixing the Vaquero actually had the opposite effect. It's now gear stalling on multiple gears, and the stalls are significantly more pronounced (audio). I think the positive takeaway here is that it actually did have an effect specifically on the thing you attempted to fix, however. Maybe try pushing the number down to 1,500 instead? That would push it shy of half the change (1,700 -> 2,200 is +500), but in the other direction. See how that affects things, and then move on from there with whatever new info is gained.

As far as stopping cheating, EAC is useless. The virtual machine check is easy to get around.  Only time will tell if LO can utilize it, along with FairFight.

It took just shy of 24 hours for EAC to be bypassed by the higher end programs (paid/sub based from the usual places, and the private ones certain known APB clans use). To my own personal knowledge anyways, as I slept most of the day so it's entirely possible it was bypassed earlier than that. Taking this fact into consideration, I have very little hope that LO will actually change their stance on cheating from their current "publicly decries it, but doesn't actually do anything about it even when concrete/undeniable proof is submitted" stance.

yea i mean fairfight shouldnt be ditched anyway it was working at least

Most of the people banned in those days were just people Tiggs and her little clique didn't like. It had nothing to do with cheating.

There's a reason that she's so reviled by anyone who has even the slightest bit of a working moral compass.

    • The weapon now starts at 35m (fRampDistance 3500) range dropoff, and the value refers to the range in which the weapon's damage will decrease. So effectively, the weapon will have a drop off until 45m (1000 more than 3500)
    • We intended to make the range 35m + 15m (fMinDamageRange 1500) at first, making the range 35m to 50m (3500 + 1500).
    • During deployment, an experimental change that was being tested on OTW was not reverted and made it to live that made the range 35m + 10m (fMinDamageRange 1000)
    • However, due to how the pistol actually performed with a fMinDamageRange of 1000, we intended to keep the Colby .45 in the state it ended up in, as it was actually more in line with how we intended the dropoff range to function with our nerf.

    Thanks for the comprehensive clarification.

Previously when nerfing the Colby .45, an extra 5m was accidentally taken off the range. After testing we’ve decided to keep this, meaning the Colby .45’s range will stay at 45m.

Previous balance change reduced the 45AP to 35m effective range, falling off to min damage range of 45m. I'm assuming you're referring to the min damage range, which had been intended to be 50m instead? Or is the effective range change being reverted (originally the gun had 40m effective range) and then buffed further?

There's plans for potential settings for users with 16GB or more RAM, for now players can use custom garbage collection timers, I went as far as 10 mins without a crash in which case my game used 8GB of ram although the stutter following that was quite severe.

It should change slightly depending on pop but it basically just tracks how long it took to clean up all the garbage, this process makes your game stutter, if you're averaging 160ms then that means your garbage collection stutters/freezes are around 160ms long.

Makes me wonder what would happen if setting the timer to like 0 or 1, so that the GC process is just continuously running. Or at least to some super low value. The point being to not allow "garbage" to collect into any kind of sizeable amount, making there less for the GC process to have to deal with.
