Can confirm this is a old probably one of the early 2009 trailer from one of the closed betas while the game was under EA. I bet you can find this trailer while searching on YT. (I am too lazy to do it atm also I know for the fact this is a old trailer so wont bother linking, search it up if you care) And yes the game looked much better and ran much better then today. But you wont find any normal video of it with true HD quality to entierly back that up. Also keep in mind the game use to run on Pentium 4 with XP. That is how old this is. I know this because I was part of the closed beta back then. The only issue with the game was that you could glitch out from the map on few parts and lots of missions had bad task possions so as had all sorts of bugs that rendered tha game unplayable. There were lots of kolva based missions which also was not fun because soon as someone took that truck he was a winner. Back then there were no heavy weapons to blow it up. Asylum wasn't half way finished and there were no fightclubs. Some cars were broken too and locked or removed and some reworked later on in the reloaded edition. The game was originaly released half finished and was considered a failure. Even it's high price plus monthly subscription didn't helped anything. But keep in mind that monthly subscription wasn't for premium because you had everything or most things unlocked in game and some items you unlocked by simply playing missions. Even tho some things were fixed till today the game still shows it's unfinished state even from back then. I mean who the fuck puts a item in the trunk of a car that same truck doesn't open. Then that said item vanishes in your car (empty van in the back for example no matter if it's full of things or not). All these details contributed to the unfinished status and still to this day these things are present and therefore that is why this game is a forever beta. On the other note. There was a android mobile game in works at one point by two Russian kids who took the RTW version and started rebaking things and porting it over. I think they used UnityMobile if I remember it corectly. Seen lots of progress but one day the updates stopped. I think they were canceled by G1 themselves. If I remember it corectly around that time came out the mobile APB game called Retribution (that one with the top down camera). And no that game have nothing to do with those kids. If they are smart enough they should seriously make their own game because they know how, obviously, instead of messing around with other people's IP. Now that I think about it there was a fan made engine port of APB but can't find their forum anymore for a year or two nor any info. Do they started working for LO now considering they are doing the same things and suspicously the new beta social looks similar to the ones ported by these fan modders from few years back. Does anyone know anything about that?

Don't remember the years but there were few years when mission districts were unplayable. 15-20 fps with drops to 0 and frame freezes on 3-4 seconds. That was without the missions. While getting into a mission your screen would freeze and that is it. Best case scenario you were kicked out of the server. So the only options were Baylan, that other map with the building under construction from Finacial and Asylum wasn't even there back then was only brought in for Halloween and Winter events. Those two maps were the only place where the games worked alright. Asylum had too many bugs, glitches and you could easilly get stuck in items and clip out of the map resulting in suicide. Still the map perfrmed good if we talk FPS. Since then the Asylum was fixed (minus the remaining getting stuck and glitching out on props etc), Financial fightclub building map was removed (good riddance that map was worse then Asylum), mission districts capped at a lover playerbase and the game runs on better server machines. What I kept noticing over the years waterfront still have lover FPS, buildings keep dissapearing and reapiring with standing still and a single camera rotation back and forth not talking about driving around. So surely something is messed up here. What I also found out which still to this day isn't fixed and is a big strain on performance. There is this audio bug where you could hear phone conversations from civilian cars and sometimes one car streams probably 5+ conversations at once. Multiply that by 10 cars at least in the area and do the math what impact does solely by that. I suggested ages ago to remove those or fix the bug because back in 2010 version up intil 2012 this wasn't a problem. Only after that this accured and strained performance among other things. Plus like I said the game was on garbage server machines back then which additionally didn't helped anything. I remember years of unplayability and it's a miracle this game survived at all and some users spent big money on it. So to this game survive LO should focus on what worked and what didn't worked. For example bringing the failed recycled riot back from 2011 was a bad idea but no one listened. Riot was released and the rooms were pretty much empty. Few people kept spamming the chat how they are looking for players to play riot to the point the reply simply was for them to move on because no one wants that crap. Instead of optimizing current options until a complete port happens and looking into expolits so as banning them forever, no need to bring more content that will just clog the already messed up performance of the game.

Before I start talking random crap on topic all I will say, sign your artwork, on it and the file you create. For example "instert item name" design by "instert your name" and sign the art in a corner. So people will know who made it and will look you up. Even tho every item is registered to the original character name of it's creation. Also to point out if someone doesn't know when you create something new the name is limited to a short number of letter input. Save the item under some random name then later in your invetory select the "rename item" option you will have more lettering spaces available. Now the other things. Art theft is a big NONO in the world. So I can somewhat understand this but this is APB after all. Things work differently after all. Plus the TOS states how you don't own anything in this game, the company does. Most cases today you can buy anything chances are you don't own it at all. For example. Good luck selling a online game or item that is locked on an account. And when time comes companies can do whatever they want with your account and content. You bought a game, the platform removes it, good luck disputing that or trying to refund, they don't give a shit. What do you think why many people quit buying digital games or quit gaming in general. Because they grew out of them? No because the reality is shit on the market, that is why. Also in real life different companies and countries keep fucking each other for ages with products. China makes something cheap in most cases US, Canada, Germany and similar countries in power rebrand them into premium items and cash in on it bigtime. While China as a payback keeps making things that is under patented protection and keeps selling it for cheap, which is called bootleg or knockoff. This is the world we live in. China became a big economic powerhouse thanks to this. Nobody here is in the right or wrong all mentioned countries and politics have their evil deeds just comes to the point who fucks who the most. It came to the point that not a single bolt is made in US they go for it in China. Also I see an item online grab it for cheap I am in the power to resell that for what ever money I can. There is no rule of me not be able to do it. I bought a physical game I will resell it becasue I have the option to do it. Companies can suck my nuts if it hurts them. They should print more if they want to keep up the demands. Again artworks in most cases work differently and I always suggest sign your work and watermark the previews online. There are lots of mostly kids who do this that just steal other people's work and repost them without credit. Some say it's free publishing some bich about how they are in a right to do so because they are spending time on it... There are lots of derranged people in the world so get prepared before you do anything. If you are old enough there are review copies of the games or bundleded copies that state on a packaging "not for resale" or something in that fashion and you can see those exact copies being sold online and offline everywhere in the world. A single copy going through multiple owners.

If you are a new player. Wait for the easter event. Participating you will unlock the animal body suit. It's a onesey. Put a belt on it to hide the tail and further customize your outfit to your likeing. Option two or more likely the noobie option regular pants + long sleeved shirt and pay attention to the numbered color patterend options. Write it down on paper or if you can remeber the numbers even better. Re-enter the numbers on the other clothing piece and symbols etc. If you have no clue what am I talking about then look up few clothing customisation videos to get a hang of it and you will learn it all quick enough. We all were noobies at one point, give a chance in learning and you will sucseed. Hope this helped somehow.

What do you think is killing this game?
fiveX replied to R3ACT3M's topic in General Discussion Archive
You are playing the wrong online games. Try FiveM (custom unnoficial GTA5 Online servers) where you can have custom cars and instert a livery of your choice. Make it yourself or ask someone to make it for you. And racing is good if you play with normal people on a selected racing oriented servers. Same goes for clothing, there are even scratch made new maps etc. The official GTA5 Online is toxic beyond explanation. From the game's net code and bugs and halfbaked content, prices to it's community and most cases official online games are filled with degenarets while selected servers are the way to go. Without that you can forget online gaming.
