Well that was a fun few hours... Probably best not to announce any new Anti-DDOS software on the forums from now on.

Not everything is, but most things can be if the effort was applied. Communication can be one thing, but their actions are showing that they aren't meeting their goals. Which is disappointing to the player base. There's no testing needing for active in-game GMs to look over and pluck out the bad seeds that are abusing legitimate players for their own twisted kicks. If they did this, perhaps they wouldn't only have under 100 players on Jericho currently. I am not talking about the engine upgrade that is set to launch in 2150 Q4. Also, I am forced into a position of being patient, but as I said, I refuse to put any money towards a game that is in a current state of attention until the engine upgrade comes.

Obviously you didn't read that properly. You must have heightened emotions, considering the subject at hand. I simply said the I like to take in first hand the status of the game before nodding my head in agreement to anything spat on these forums. If they claim they are concerned for the game, it would be in a completely different state of being. And they wouldn't be doing the same things that Gamersfirst had. Which is, take slow resolutions to a problem that needs quickened results. Your adversity to anything I say, squarely places you in the opposition in one form or another. Thus lumping you into the "Add to the pile" crowd. Even if I wasn't making this post, the effect of your actions still stands. Also you're bringing up a dead subject as an attempt to regress the topic at hand. It's been posted by Moderators "That if VOLUNTEERS OR STAFF ARE BREAKING THE TOS, THEY SHOULD BE REPORTED TO STAFF." If that statement wasn't designed to be a warning to SPCT members, they wouldn't have worded it in such a way. There's no faux intellectual high road being played. Simply observation to the deceptions of your overall wording in your posts.

Considering that I have to keep things vague as per part of the terms to being present on these forums, you're going to have to deal with it. It's fact that when these topics are brought up, the half of the player base that are the problem do everything in their power to make the legitimate players on these forums seem like they're insane. If you agree that a customer takes importance you wouldn't attempt to diminish the concern of this game spiraling downward faster than when it was in the hands of its prior owners. You'd add something, and actually contribute, beyond trivial crap that most of the trolls do on these threads. If you don't know what your part in this is, then you're obviously just typing without thought or intention.
-
As a customer to the company, I do have importance. just as much as you do. There difference is I'm applying it in a way that's actually meant for Little Orbit to take away certain things that could actually help. Even if they don't outright acknowledge my post. There's nothing constructive from saying "add it to the pile", that's just a dismissive gesture on your part. It lacks originality, steers the thread away from the topic, and is engineered to create discord. The "Add to the pile" people are the same people that could help make a difference, instead of being a loathsome presence in the forums. It only makes you look like you have an alternative agenda, that would be ruined if solutions were implemented.
-
I actually do pay attention to the forums. But as someone who likes to think for himself, I prefer to get the firsthand experience. Because most perceptions on this forum seems to be jaded. Resulting in unoriginal, not really helpful, and lacking posts such as this. Constantly saying "add it to the pile" doesn't contribute anything towards Little Orbit actually making the effort needed to make the changes required for this game to actually be a success. So ultimately you're enforcing the idea that they can passively sit back and let this game die off, after making the investment to try and turn things around.

Translation: He/she was getting on my last nerve with how they were attempting to justify the disgusting actions of another person. So I put them on ignore.
-
I'm not here to interest you. I have no ambition to play monkey for someone who would rather stand up for a person who has harassed and slandered another person. Respectfully it has been more than one insult, and there is a difference between slandering someone without evidence, and saying something factual from the evidence displayed by another individuals actions. Volunteers do represent a company, which is why the services of a volunteer can be rendered obsolete if they no longer uphold themselves in a respectful fashion. Yes the rules are meant to apply to everyone, but if you're going to volunteer your time to a company, you're volunteering your identity to the company. That badge was issued by Little Orbit, which means he's representing them in a fashion. Standing up for this person who is already on ignore speaks volumes about your own personal character. Welcome to ignore.
-
I'll never tell.
-
Continuing to do so is, as apparently members of this forum have decided to quote him in their posts after I already have him on ignore. Regardless, it's highlighted as something not tolerated, and it is offensive. So it's become harassment, and you're enabling it. It's sad, and pathetic for someone to do so. If you don't like something, there's a dislike button for a reason. There isn't the need for someone to crusade at making slander over an opinion. It's rather immature, and shows a lack of intellectual development. Now i'd rather this thread stay on topic, instead of being about someone who I have already erased from my sight.

No Flaming Refrain from using language that is abusive, aggressive, confrontational, slanderous, or provocative. That's in the forum rules. It's a good read, and I suggest it.

Telling someone to take out their tampon is a lewd form of harassment. It's disgusting, and unwarranted. So... Not really interested in you much anymore. Your only goal seems to justify poor behavior. Your title, special forum badge, and bragging rights (If you chose to find satisfaction in what you do) are a privilege. But like I said, you're essentially an unpaid employee. It's not my fault that you volunteered for such frustrations, and I hope you eventually find satisfaction in what you do somehow. Merged. But suggesting I am mentally ill, and then telling me to take out my tampon is. He doesn't need to take things to that level, and defending his disgusting actions really isn't the best thing. I'd prefer to respect people I engage with.
-
Not to mention a loss of premium time, if they bothered to purchase such.
-
I mostly prefer to finish one character at a time before starting another. I have already been gone for so many years, by choice. I don't want to lose the rest of my premium.
-
Actually harassment is against the teams of service, and a moderator in another thread already said that volunteers and staff violating the TOS should be reported to staff so they can be dealt with accordingly. Thus he is held to a higher standard in the eyes of Little Orbit. Sorry but you're simply just attempting to enable him in being despicable.

Oh yes, but it would deter the use of them in certain countries if the cheat consumer base of the programs is targeted directly. Throw a large fine and the potential for six months to a year jail time as punishment. It would make others think twice about taking advantage of it. It'd likely also make many parents extremely disappointed in their children for doing things like that. Especially if the financial information of the proven cheaters are tracked. I suppose I am too hopeful for that. Though it'd really make this game a better place. But like Jazeker said, I just need to enjoy the game till it dies.
-
Oh I mean for the people utilizing the cheats should also fall under persecution as party to a crime. Not just its creators.
-
That's a shame if the United States court system wouldn't recognize the financial detriment to a video game due to people running programs that are against its TOS.
-
Oh the matchmaking has never bothered me. Especially since the population is so low that it's difficult to keep players of differing skill levels at a reasonable distance. You win some, and you lose some. It's just frustrating when it becomes a real losing streak for many players, and not for the few who are obviously at an advantage in some way. Especially when it could be handled in certain ways.
-
This post is so articulate! I am in love. Okay love is a strong feeling to describe. But I can't help but actually feel the positive behind the message. Thank you.
-
Oh there can be other tactics used to combat cheaters. Some companies have even resorted to legal action, which proved effective in sending a clear message to the people cheating in those games. Little Orbit isn't the only victim to the actions of players who cheat. Paying customers, and legitimate players also suffer firsthand at the actions of these people who break the rules for their own gain and twisted amusement. Assuming ownership of the game, means that they accepted the responsibility for handling the problem with cheaters. Also that girl seems like she made a few poor choices.

Out of respect, I have witnessed some things in the past thanks to a former friend allowing me to sit audience to their game play while they played on an alternate account. Needless to say I am no longer their friend, but I am also not convinced in any form that good graphics cards are the only contributing factor for those people winning.
-
Yes it was a mess. And it was highly likely that there were a few script kiddies running about. Especially since the same low rank individuals were repeatedly going 5 stars, in a district full of high ranking players. That alone is evidence for me to question the legitimacy of some. I did my part and reported them as one should. Beyond that I tried to have fun in any way that I could. When the game is completely unplayable, but there are players still winning at an increased advantage you should never discredit the idea that they may be utilizing third party assistance. So we'll agree to disagree.

Oh greetings fellow Jericho. Were you logged in yesterday?

Different experiences I suppose. Which server do you play on?
