  1. We all have high hopes for Fallen Earth, but hearing crickets is disheartening. I yearn for more player chat and/or developer input.
  2. I enjoyed watching this guy's YouTube channel years ago. You may or may not like his videos, but since we don't have a current game to play, you might appreciate them. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqXb5fQ8cSai9PF3MQs7Vbg/search?query=fallen
  3. Holy feces! What a great update. And a lot of work to create it. Thanks, Matt.
  4. That's a very valid and probably correct point. Thanks.
  5. I check SteamCharts.com periodically, and this number is almost always 1 or 2. I keep hoping it's a developer on a PTS or something. This is from tonight.
  6. Thank you for necroing this post. Two hours?! Awesome! I have a bunch of 30 second clips from ShadowPlay but nothing as comprehensive as this. Although, a lot of the video didn't render well enough for me to read chat and UI elements, but oh well!
  7. I really miss this game. I first really learned of it the day it went F2P on Steam, even though I had seen the boxed set on the video game shelf at Best Buy but didn't take notice. I had played it constantly since that F2P weekend until the shutdown. I even played with my wife, son, best friend, and cousin. We took our time, enjoying the exploring, ambiance, music, crafting, and even the wonky combat mechanics. We weren't much into PvP unless we were in the PvP zones gathering materials, but it was still much fun. In addition, my family lives not far from the Grand Canyon area. Everything from Kingman to Kaibab felt like home, but rather post-apocalyptic. We were very thrilled when Little Orbit took over and were so hopeful, but that's not worked out well so far, as we all know. Don't get me wrong, I was in software development for over 20 years - so I get it when a company picks up an IP and wants to move forward but it just doesn't end well. Us players would, if we could, work on this as a labor of love, but for a company needing to make money, I understand it that if the investment of time and resources doesn't add up to a measurable revenue then it's on the back burner. That being said, I'm just adding my voice to everyone else's that a LOT of us are still here. There are many people that would re-subscribe if Fallen Earth 2.0 (or whatever it becomes) should become real, of that I'm certain. If this were to happen, I can guarantee you at least 4 subscriptions from my end, alone. That may not be many, but it can all add up. To end with, I'll share one of my favorite moments in Fallen Earth: My 16 year old son and I were level 10 or 11 and in Kingman for the first time. We decided to try a few prison quests. Boy, were we in for a surprise. After our 3rd or 4th death, two level 55's showed up for some reason, and carried us through! we still managed to die a few times, but we ended up getting a few quests done. After it was over, they tried to give us some vehicles, but we declined, as we wanted to build our own. So instead, they gave us TWO Skull and Starburst Cowboy Hats. We didn't even realize what they had given us at the time. I learned years later they were pretty special. Anyone else got a cool story to share? Thanks for reading.
  8. I feel so sad and empty right now. I haven't played in like 8 months due to IRL issues, but then I come back to this? I do understand LO's reasoning, for sure. If I were in their place I'd do the same thing. Running an empty MMO is not free or cheap. I can only place a lot of faith and hope that the next "version" will actually happen, AND be done correctly. I've been playing this game since the first F2P weekend on Steam. The only reason I ever even knew about this game 10 years ago was from seeing the DVD (CD?) box version on a shelf at Best Buy, back when you would normally buy games physically. I still remember the store and box. I didn't buy it. Then when it became free to play in 2012 I think, I grabbed it immediately and never looked back. It wasn't the only game or MMO I played, but it really meant something to me. Part of the reason it resonated with me so much was because I live in the area the game is supposed to take place. The Grand Canyon is only a few hours away from me, and I've been all over that area in my life. I've been to Kingman (Old Kingman lol) many times. I've been a part of several discontinued MMO games over the years, like Star Wars Galaxies, Wildstar, and Firefall. But this one hurts the most. I have several thousands of hours in it, and even played with many family members a LOT, including several years with my wife. I implore you, Little Orbit, please do not give up on this game. Please continue with your vision of the future for Fallen Earth. Thank you.
  9. Whew! Thank you for the update at this hour. I haven't logged in for a few weeks and was scared something bad had happened since it's late on a Thursday night/early Friday morning. You guys are working late. Thank you.
  10. Ha, point taken. How about "glad to see you back around again at least for now." ?
  11. FTFY. Speak for yourself. Other people like me do care.
  12. Thanks for re-posting this on the new forums, Nysek. I always sent players with serious questions about builds to your posts. Also, glad to see you back around. You don't know me unless we've bumped into each other in-game, I've just mainly been a forum lurker for years.
