Kevkof 806 Posted February 6, 2019 I decided to try installing the game through steam on a fresh vm to try and replicate your issues. I was able to just install it through steam and start the launcher. DirectX was installed automatically. Then BattlEye was installed (asks permission). After those steps were done, I hit start to run the game, but it kept getting stuck on "Starting BattlEye Service...". A system restart later I opened steam and from there the launcher. Pressing start launched the game right away. This doesn't seem to be a universal issue. How far have you gotten in the install so far and what else have you tried so far? Ikayoz 2 Posted February 6, 2019 (edited) Hi Kevkof after my last report above, I tried, as suggested by friends, to download the game to a different drive on my brandnew computer. I did so, and I ended up with the same error message: Launcher - Error says "1 file download failed Binaries\APBprogram:StatusApply" I tried different things and finally got APB . exe to download and got a 'Start' on the launcher clicked on Start APBprogram - Application Error the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application. Sighs If you scroll to the top and read my 3 posts you find details of everything I have tried, including compatibility etc etc. Edited February 6, 2019 by Ikayoz
Kevkof 806 Posted February 6, 2019 1 thing I'd like to point out to start with, downloading DLL files from any given website is not a recommended course of actions, you never know if these are the actual files you'd need. These are the correct and official links for the required downloads, you could try removing the ones you added and running these instead: (These were posted by technical staff members in the past) DirectX: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 Visual Studio 2012 C++ Redist: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 .NET Framework 4.0: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851 I hope these will allow you to run the game without issue, if not don't hesitate to post here again
swft 356 Posted February 6, 2019 Did you try downloading the game without IObit software running? I wouldn't trust any software made by that company.
Ketog 1031 Posted February 7, 2019 Iobit is a terrible company , i highly reccomend you to NOT use anything from them , remove everything from iobit you have on your PC and just install malwarebytes . im sure it will install completely fine when you don't have it anymore . Ikayoz 2 Posted February 7, 2019 (edited) Thank you swft and @Ketog On 2/6/2019 at 7:13 AM, swft said: Did you try downloading the game without IObit software running? I wouldn't trust any software made by that company. I tried downloading a couple of other games through Steam and got Disk Write Errors (virgin brand new computer, here) I talked to the builder and he suggested trying to download outside of Steam, and if that didn't work, remove the IObit software and try again. I tried downloading ABP direct from the website, same issues. I tried a different game download, outside of steam, also had issues. I removed all the IObit software from the computer. After rebooting, I downloaded War Thunder direct from website, no issues. Game looks great. I downloaded Glyph/Archeage, an issue there although I've tried their resolution I will have to talk to their support. I downloaded Origins and Apex Legends, no issues. Game looks great. I tried downloading ABP direct from website, still have an issue and it appears to be incompatible with my new system as I've been through all the troubleshooting suggestions. Maybe the new engine might help? APBprogram - Application Error... the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application. But I will double check to be sure. Cause it's still having issues and appears to be incompatible...
Ketog 1031 Posted February 8, 2019 Well have you tried installing every vcredit things from the TPI folder that's in the apb directory ? If after all of this nothing works , i'd suggest doing a CLEAN installation of windows (not using the given disk with your system , and actually downloading a fresh windows image to a USB drive using this tool ) But it know that's quite an extreme, but i would say that's a guarenteed solution . Ikayoz 2 Posted February 24, 2019 I figured out what the issue is. My new computer is 64-bit only. Any 32-bit games I try to download (APB Reloaded, Age of Conan, Archeage) are getting error messages. I guess I will just have to find new games to play on my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 War Thunder works fine, as does Apex Legends.
