tomezone 3 Posted May 27, 2018 NOTE: This suggestion might've been brought up previously, and if so, please either disregard this thread, inform me, or for forum moderators, lock this thread. Anyways, let's get right into it. Instead of letting players whom aren't in your mission physically interact with you, your car, etc. while in-mission, ghost the player's model and vehicle model so that when they 'collide', they phase through each other and no actual collision happens. For streamers and well-known players, as well as your average joe, griefing is a major problem. Currently during a mission, you can collide with other players and their cars whom aren't in your mission, thus slowing you down and not letting you get to a mission objective in time, giving the opposition an advantage. Players can also completely block your mission's objective either on purpose or accidentally, which disallows you from completing your mission's objective, again giving the opposition the upper hand. I'm sure many players can agree with me, griefing is currently a MAJOR problem, from upset players slamming your car into a wall and not letting you get to a mission objective in time, to players completely blocking you into a corner with a dump truck. Griefing is definitely something that should be acknowledged at some point. I'm not going to go into detail about 'N5/P5 griefing' during missions as that has already been addressed and will *hopefully* be fixed somewhere down the line. Again, if this has already been brought up and acknowledged by the community/developers, please disregard this thread, inform me, etc. as I don't want multiple copies of the same suggestion clogging the suggestions sub-forum. Please do discuss this topic as I would love to hear your opinions of how this can be fixed and/or further improved. Thanks!
Kewlin 692 Posted May 27, 2018 No, just no, this would totally ruin the feel and fun of APB. APB isn't made to be competitive, or fair, or anything like that, it's silly and ridiculous. If you want fair, predictable games where you can calculate all of the variables of a mission, go play something else. What we need to solve griefing is a better report system, not to ruin the majority of missions that don't have griefing in them.
Fortune Runner 796 Posted May 27, 2018 honestly i'd prefer people out of a mission to be fair game to kill but not be able to kill people in missions to discourage griefers from trolling those of us in missions. so tired of trying to get a mission done only for trollers to block us from moving or slamming into us destroying our vehicles
EventideOne 10 Posted May 27, 2018 So I understand where this is coming from, but I don't feel like its that big of an issue. It could be much worse, take for instance in open conflict districts, where players actually would be able to damage your vehicle directly and impact your gameplay. And even then, like when it's happened to me in GTA Online, I just leave the session and rejoin so they'll get off my tail. And as far as other players blocking an objective, they just need to get reported, there's really no other way to deal with that.
