I haven't checked in for a long time. I started FE in closed beta a million years ago. I had given up on it ever being rebooted. What is the latest ? A Q&A with one of the Devs and a Halloween event ? Where will the info on that be posted ? I made a character awhile ago but the thought of starting anew at level 1 and grinding for a hundred hours put me off for the moment. I used to know North Burb like the back of my hand so I'll start there if I can. I just hope that things haven't changed so much that I'll be clueless.

I reposted this, since it confirms the AMA being next week - the AMA itself will be APB centered, and the mentioned gun and events are for APB. The rest of us over at discord are expecting / hoping for FE info during it or shortly after it, since FE barely got anything this year.

The game is mostly the same it was back in 2014, if that helps, just no marketplace, and no reward points.

 

From what i know right now - its safe to say the AMA will be APB centered. I asked about one for FE too, but didnt get anything concrete [2nd quote here]. But there is a real posibility of getting FE info during APBs lucky day, especially since knowing FE players - there will be at least a few lurking there and asking about FE all the time.

 

Whatever FE related info gets dropped on discord and not reposted to the forums by LO themselves - ill put it here.

Little Orbit moved to datacenters we directly rent space in.

We got our own bandwidth contracts for each data center.

We own all our own hardware for each data center.

But in the last couple months, DDoS attacks have gone nuts. Before we rarely saw attacks greater than 1TB, and those were aimed at Blizzard or Riot. Now, we're seeing sustained 20TB attacks aimed at small providers. [2]

why not just host from work/home, then u dont have all this provider issues.

if u got 1.25GB/s of fiberglass somewhere u could prolly just reserve some bandwidth for that.

prolly alot cheaper too.
