Semi automatic weapons

First of all sorry for my english.

 

The idea is add a rate limit to semi-automatic weapons like automatic weapons, this would serve to avoid the use of macros. The goal would be to add a low rate of fire to semi-automatic weapons by making them automatic in a certain way.
If you have been playing for a while you will realize that 70% of golds use macros in their pistols and rifles.

have u even played the game once in all these years ?

it's not just a matter of spamming lmb but rather get each weapon's pattern correctly in order to max out their rof

I dont know if its safe to say this, but i think it is, because its not cheating technically, but you shoot like macro without any cheats, and you can do it in game, so its not an actual cheating, as far as i know, its allowed

I know there is a pattern, the macro skips that pattern.

Nah. just go to control options, and set fire buttons to mouse wheel up and down, and you have a legal macro, but its not that stable. I know its allowed, for now at least, i never used any apps or scripts. + since i mostly use scout, even this "legal macro" is useless to me  never cheated in this game ^^

That just defeats the purpose of being semi-automatic weapon..

Maybe i will start doing these concepts again one day. But what for? Why have i invested my time into them...they are all burried down under other topics and no one sees them anyway

I agree that all weapons should just shoot at their maximum rate if the fire button is held down, Nothing would change except the steep learning curve being smoothed out.

Any weapon which is only balanced due to the required skill to perfectly time manually firing each shot is too easily exploited by automation. 

Likewise any semi-auto which isn't good despite firing automatically is severely underpowered.

It would be easiest for new players thats true, the other solution would be the reduce maximum cadence as you said without removing that they are semi-automatic.

If your semi-automatic weapon can shoot as fast as an SMG, Why is it even semi-automatic in the first place?
