Since BattlEye does take screenshots of your screen, I assume you will get banned for these changes?

    @MattScott

How are they supposed to see that you removed ambient noise with a screenshot..? "I am deaf so I can't see!"

Also what are they supposed to see on that screenshot? That your screen is gray instead of having the normal login screen?

So if BE is set up to take screenshots, then LO have to go though them to actually check.

And since you are not even logged in yet, what can they really do about it?

If anything, I'll just fix the login screen part so that it'll load the normal character scenery, but not the login screen. /shrug

So what I have gathered from testing on OTW (which already has the BattlEye patch). It looks like you don't get kicked for editing configuration files.

Things that have to inject into the game, for example NinjaRipper, ReShade (and probably hacks lol), will get blocked by BattlEye and APB won't start at all.

Of course, because BE is most likely not set up to look at those files.

    Just like PB wasn't.

Unless they tweak it to do so, I doubt it'll be a problem.

I don't think this person even understands how cheat programs function if they believe forcing DRM will solve it.

Not sure he's talking about DRM, tho.

He does have a point, and you have to give credit where credit is due.

They could prevent people from modding shaders by shipping already compiled shaders.

Currently the game recompile on launch.

I would guess they are also encrypted in this case? AFAIK the 3.5 engine upgrade already do this, removing the possibility of messing with shaders.

But I also think that 3.5 is less encrypted, since the game boots up in less than a second. Unlike the current live version that takes 10-20 seconds?

But overall, calling people hackers for messing with this sort of shit is a bit much.

Market tax is an important function for the health of the economy in the game. Without it, pretty much no money would ever be lost from the game, and the economy just gets more inflated over time. Anyone asking for it to be removed are only thinking about making some extra bucks from each transaction, and don't consider what the long term consequences would be for the game.

I rather think the opposite, that the game requires more money sinks. However, the economy in the game needs to be tweaked either way, so that free-to-play players are able to play the game and actually afford weapons to rent.

    This.

If you dont feed the system ,it will die and begin to eat you.

Tax are a need for keep system existence.

If i have to explain, you will never understand.

Well, how did Dopefish just explain it then?

Though you are correct, I struggle to understand what you said just now.

Not to brag or anything but i'm actively playing this game Tobii and i can assure you speedhackers are still around in the game.

Usually in the fight club districts otherwise rarely in the action districts too.

Record it and show me someone running like that 🙂

this is what a cheater using speed hack looks like

not what were seeing in that clip.

I mean if @Lixil is saying that it wasn't any GMs people should just respect that and accept it's probably the server crapping out.

Not to mention there have been speedhackers in the game for a while now which sucks.

There hasn't been a single speed hacker since regoated got patched.

And they definitely did not look like that.

I have no reason to lie. If I need to pull up IT guys to confirm it with you guys we can do that. I literally checked ALL GM commands that were happening none of them had anything to do with Shini's problem.

I'm not gonna argue with you guys. My GMs had nothing do with this. Shini had massive lag from what both IT and devs are telling me.

Let's say that he did lag.

That doesn't explain the person running past him.

People are not able to run at that speed without warping.

This was someone who had their speed set, not someone telling the server otherwise. It's not a cheater.

It's not about being smart more about being able to in a reasonable time. if theey cannot even differ between proper FF flagged people and manually banned ones, how would the yknow this? Just by date, maybe, but given what FF currently doesn't even banns by blatant cheating, I just wonder if FF currently even bans, or if those bans are actually old flagged and banned players just logging in again by not having been online since LO took over.

There is more to it than just being flagged right or wrong.

They just don't tell you that. 🙂

Mouse fix is cheating obviously cause you have to alter the game files. Actually changing any of the keybinds or settings in game is cheating as well. Why can't you just play the game as it is supposed to be played hu?

This guys bent on believing only Chinese players cheat in the whole world and thinks BE is impenetrable. It's gonna be a rude patootie awaking for him lol

I think he was talking bout PUBG, but it was a bad example if you ask me.

It's not only China that's cheating.

public cheats are almost always useless, no idea why anyone would want that lol

private cheats have always been the real problem imo, as they generally remain undetected for longer periods of time

No AC is perfect, that's just a fact.

I am sure BE is a decent AC, but there is still cheats that remain undetected for a VERY VERY long time.

go ahead and pm me purchasable cheats for any of the games I listed

    I just did.

You said nothing about public. 🙂

If you want links for public stuff, then you know as much as I do.

I can't help you with that.

I mean if you actually want to look into yourself you'll see what I'm saying is true, in the case of PUBG, I don't know about the other games but probably not because they aren't popular in china. The VAST MAJORITY, apparently 99% of cheaters banned in PUBG are from china. If only 50% of the game is from china and 99% of hackers are from china that means comparatively very few people not from china are hacking

go ahead and pm me purchasable cheats for any of the games I listed that aren't from some sketch kid charging $200+/month on unknown for "private hacks", u just wont be able too

battleye has beaten every single "mass sale" cheat website into submission

I am not going to PM you links to cheats.

I am not sure Lixil would approve one bit.

Just look up bossland though, then you can go from there.

The problem is they said all cheaters will be unbanned, so what reason actually do they have not to cheat likle crazy right now?

No point in playing the game in any missions or FC atm.

    Did they? Where...

I would like a quote of said statement.

I doubt that if you got banned this week that you will be unbanned.

It's really not hard to check ban dates.

It is an advantage in the right hands. Just like any other tool. If you want something like crosshair dots to be illegal, how will you enforce it? What program will allow LO to enforce someone drawing a dot in the middle of their monitor with a marker?

Everyone wants a fair game, we can all agree fairness is great. But a crosshair dot is not a cheat or a hack, it is a tool. If we decided to have a competition to see who could screw in a bolt the quickest. If I bring out a drill, am I cheating or am I being smart. Maybe you should have forseen this and brought your own drill. And if you wanted to set rules, how would you enforce them? In this example it is simple because you can physically see my efforts. If you see me using a drill, you could disqualify me. But in an online game, things are not so simple. No one is stopping you from using a dot on your monitor except yourself.

The point is, you should realize that players who use crosshair overlays are not cheating, they are utilizing their tools. They are not injecting programs into the game or modifying the memory of the game in any way. It is functionally equivalent to drawing a dot on the monitor with a marker. And if you chose not to use one, you will have to live with the fact that most other players will not care about what you think about their drawn on crosshair dot.

    10/10 👏
