  1. Most mmos use the grind as a part of the gameplay. See World of Tanks for example.

I feel APB is fine as it is with the standing points, I would just change the end game mods to require a much lower level to be used. Things like Car Surfer are gamebreaking and it's stupid that players cannot use it until weeks of playing in.

Plus, if you want less grind, thats what Premium is for.

Non-premium here, never spent a cent on the game.
I have 600k, about 15 legendaries and all the cars I could want to. I use the occasional free premium days to customize them and then I'm set...

The only annoying thing of premium is the shortened ability time. Thats just unfair and should be removed.
What ability? Sorry, I am new.

Orange mods can be spammed twice as fast as non-premium players. Which means more Spotter, more Repair, more Nitros, more Detonator etc.

  4. Since it is obvious that the game has a very poor anticheat with numerous players able to use triggerbots, autohotkeys and radars (some quite subdle to detect) and that the /report command is literally a joke with no use,

what is the LO idea of players dealing with hackers? Do they have a system to check and ban them?
Coming from Citadel, where I have never seen the shadow of a GM in 5 years of playing, it's rather annoying when even in bronze district you can see players with artificial gameplay at high rank (R150 and above) and know that if they got that far, they won't ever be banned anyway.

They brought back BattleEye, is it being used at least or not?

  5. Premise:
right now the marketplace works by taking a wooping 20% of tax on selling items over it. While exagerated, this isa method to prevent inflation since other money sinks (like ammo) are relatively inexistant.

    Question:
Isn't the new trading system entirely bypassing that?
Why would players use the marketplace at all if they can sell the items directly to a player by exchanging for money without any tax?

  6. Why not temporary disable all weapons except the standard free guns and slowly balance each one from here? It's kinda stupid trying to balance a category of weapons when there are a tons of weapons. You change a thing and half the guns get OP and the other half gets a shit.

Plus, I doubt LO is in the condition to make donations at the moment, considering they are the ones in need of a donation to avoid the game servers failing completely.

They're making money off of the Valentines day event guns by allowing people to obtain them out of that season, and donating a portion of the money to a charity of the community's choosing, they make money and they also donate to a charity to help raise awareness on breast (or other) cancer because that's what the month of October is about. That's the entire point of the event, make money, provide a fun event to the community, allow people to obtain the Valentines day guns outside of their respective event, all the while helping raise awareness for cancer. How is it pointless? It's not about being a "cool system to obtain weapons in-game", it's no different from going on ARMAS and buying them when it's in season, except a portion of it goes to charity.

Oh, hey, I have a better idea, why not selling also LTL weapons and sirens for crims on Armas? Or a special pass for enfs to ram raid shops! We could sell all of the stuff that isn't normally available outside its main purpose!

    Get the point?

every kill lust has had with a pink weapon (valentines day gun) is money lust will donate to charity. other side is, the pink weapons are armas exclusive and the request is to donate profits' of the weapons to charity.
either way, its an ask to donate to a charity based on things available in a free "mmo". lust plays, lust donates. or we buy, LO donates and still lust plays and donates.
rest of us can either jump on it and join the cause (by buying or feeding kills to lust lol) or ignore it all and just go about our merry way...

Look, I could go and list why all of that sounds still rather pointless, since a donation should just be a donation and not a system to obtain cool items in a game. But as you said, I will just ignore it and go about my merry way.

Plus, I doubt LO is in the condition to make donations at the moment, considering they are the ones in need of a donation to avoid the game servers failing completely.

  9. Since when running with the objective is any different than camping it? I mean it's all part of the game. Just because you dislike having to change location from your favourite camping spot, it doesn't mean it is unbalanced.

There are even missions where the opposition has to take the objective and drive it around the city, heck, you can't tell me those are any different.
Play the game as it is supposed to be and quit whining like a kid.

  10. I mean, it's all fun and jokes (I remember myself begging around /d when I had the Oca challange appear 1h before server restart!), but Yood is right.

Asking somebody to die on purpose to achieve normally challanging conditions is an unintended way of playing, which automatically means exploit. Sure, nobody cares about it if you do it, but saying "it's fine" is just telling a lie to yourself. If you asked a GM they wouldn't approve it.

Then again, the districts are often filled with helpful players. Just sending a whisper to your opponents often is enough to get help. Because who cares of the rules when you are having fun with friends? 😄

  11. I bet this is the same people who have an instinctive feeling to write "gg, ez" whenever they manage to win.

Dunno, it just makes me feel that. I have zero competitive feeling so I barely care about winning or losing, the only thing annoying me is when the network is too unstable to enjoy smooth gaming. At which point, I just change activities.

Cheating and gaining advantage are a little bit different but related.
One is the method/action, the other is the result of the action.
Having 120fps doesn't make you an owner automatically, if you are have a slow reaction time it doesn't matter how high  your monitor's refresh rate is....to some  extent...obviously really low values will definitely  make you a potato.
Most people don't have amazing reaction time to utilize fully  high refresh rates in shooters but people are sheeps and they always jump the hype trains.
I get people with better hardware technically have the advantage but not everything can be controlled unlike shaders.
Crosshair with carbine, shotguns, oscar helps a lot while strafing.
Nobody can stop hardware manufacturers to add unethical features though. It's up to them.

Thats purely subjective. High fps screens are as advantaging as a visible crosshair in the middle. Just because some people find them helpful, it doesn't mean it's the same for everybody. most players already know where the center of their screen is without any crosshair.

Btw, regardless of macros or other items, screen resolution is the biggest advantage you can have. A resolution twice as big as someone else means the opponents are twice as large in terms of pixels, making it half as hard to keep the crosshair on them. It's not about skill, it's literally about hitreg size being doubled.

Why needing tape anyway? My 750$ monitor has integrated customizable crosshairs that I can display in the middle of the screen with a button...
CHEATER! HACKER.. where can I got one though just for experimental purposes ?
Asus monitors equipped with "GamePlus", they offer a bunch of useless additions like crosshairs, fps counters, respawn timers, directly on the screen.
Even better, my Asus audio card have also the "Sonic Radar" drivers which literally display on screen the direction of source for specific sounds (for example bullet shots or steps). Never tried it but from the videos it looks quiiite helpful in multiplayer :classic_biggrin:
(Yes, like 90% of my pc is made by RoG components, but only due to them offering the best quality/ratio prices)

Doesn't matter  when lots of monitors now have crosshair. You can't detect that unlike shaders.
    Is it practically cheating? Yes...
    Nice bookmarks btw.

It's pretty much the same of most mouses and keyboards having customizable keys nowdays. You can't detect them, but they do make a difference in many games.

BTW, it's not cheating. It's "gaining advantage".
Which is the same exact result of like playing a multiplayer game with a 2156p monitor at 120fps against somebody with 720p at 30fps.
You simply will never have -fair play- unless everybody used the same gaming equipment (for example on consoles). With PCs there will always be some extra bonus for those who spent more with their controllers, headset, etc.

little bit of tape right in the middle of the screen there.. its not against any TOS or anything!

I paid 200$ for my monitor I'm not putting tape on it.
