what are they going to do to me? ban me from the fourms for the 15th time? tell me no? yell at me in messages? i no longer play there games becuase of there lack of content and will to even do anything

so go ahead bring it you can not even try to harm me in a way that would inflict pain, all you would do is free me of being around this fourm as i have nothing left to do here.

you've misinterpreted what I meant.   It would be suicide for LO, not yourself.  Besides, no one cares enough here to do really anything.  (Inb4 I am struck with a ban)

you can look up LOs status as a company

so far i found they got not alot of people working there generally unfavorable reviews and they live in LA making give or take 5m yearly (i could not find an exact number)

so i bet they can not get anything done on FE APB etc due to the fact there paying ungodly fees to keep the lights on at best dim

or a certain someone has a habit to feed

or they can not amit they bit off way more then they could chew

they won't and you know that.  Admitting stuff like that for a company is usually suicide, more so when LO is trying to make new games.

Matt has mentioned that the roadmap is quite ambitious and that they will not get everything on it done this year and while development is definitely on the slower end the current developer that is single-handedly carrying the games future on their back is working tirelessly on the new matchmaking system which the game will need to keep those returning players for when the new contacts drop for example.

I would personally like to see more balance to be done, especially buffs to all the crap guns to keep the game more fresh while other things are being worked on but if said balance comes at the cost of the dev not being able to work on matchmaking then that's likely just not worth it. Hopefully all these sales allow them to expand the team in the near future to accelerate things.

At the end of the day they are very aware that APB has many issues and that one dev isn't going to be able to solve them all in a timely manner, they need at least another 2~ people on the team, including someone that understands the game in and out if they wanna turn things around, until that time comes I'm just happy that Secrets is working so hard to keep this game alive, without them we likely wouldn't even have a game to play right now as Matt mentioned in the past that they should've just shut the game down until they managed to fix many of these issues and cut their losses till then.

I gotta admit your admiration and hope for the game is sorta uplifting.  But I feel like they've beaten this horse into a fine red pulp about now.  I don't see APB making a huge comeback, even if they get the extra manpower and goals knocked off.   People here (including me) are jaded as hell.

You're seriously telling me to check the definition of discrimination.
This is starting to get surreal.

    Where are you from then?

You're getting your banana twisted over words.  Let it go.

I've had a little while to think about it and I shouldn't have been so harsh. I apologize.

While I commend you for being the better person and apologizing first...

im pretty sure he thinks the animation bug where your character stays in the jogging animation while firing is evidence of cheating, so he deserved it

I gotta agree with this guy.   He kinda deserved the slap back.

  6. Cars and Vehicles don't need to be touched as far as I am concerned.   It's the weapons that need a look at.

everyone plays .45 and pretty much everyone plays ntec/pmg/obir.

There is the problem with that, with any game there will always be a 'meta' and so in turn it's virtually impossible to not have just best of the best.

GMs can’t ban because they are only player volunteers.

Log of what? Whether or not someone is cheating? If that’s all it took we wouldn’t need GMs at all.

This explains a lot.  I had not thought GM's didn't have the abilities to ban or kick players, I figured GM's were given full rights to do what they needed within reason.

    Merged.

  8. Lemme try to bring some positivity to the thread by saying, this is a good step in the right direction.  It's been...I am not sure how long but it's a step in the right direction regardless.

    However,

I would argue its maybe too late for some.  Keyword there is "some" most here in the forums I am sure will keep haunting the game and the forums until they implode, like myself.  This being said, what are you going to focus first?  I would wager a guess the 64x system implementation?

I hope you read this Matt.

I dunno how you would do this.   I don't think it's wise to ban new players and tell them "it's hacker prevention" thats only going to ruin the already small community worse then it is.

People say all kinds of stupid things.
Really think you know who a GM is? Report it and they’ll not be a GM anymore.

It's hard to report people when most if not all reports go unread, unnoticed, or just downright ignored.  I am certain GMs get reports on the daily about hacker, exploit, cheating abuse to which i've never seen really any action to.  I could be wrong and I would love to be proven wrong.

  10. I don't know exactly what is going on with LO other then they keep their playerbase in the dark, this is their biggest issue.  I certain they are doing their damndest to fix and get stuff done...but I also think that maybe their heart isn't in it anymore.  If they would keep us up to date?  I'd happily change my viewpoint and opinions.

I genuinely feel bad for everyone in this forum who go to play and are greeted with more so a dead game.  Least my servers are dead.  Unsure what its like over the pond.

I'm not a super knowledged guy when it comes to game engines but here are some basic answers to your questions

32Bit is VERY outdated and has many restrictions that clash with modern day technologies, the most basic result of moving to 64Bit will be not being bound to ~4GB of RAM anymore, allowing the game to use more ram if possible which can be used to optimize the game whether its load times or garbage collection.

Nvidia cards released as or after the 20 series cards have new memory which in APB's case causes "out of memory" crashes, this will be fixed on 64Bit.

There will be a performance increase across the board.

Assuming they manage to backport the tools unreal 3.5 provided it'll also help with faster development.

There's no date yet but I doubt LO would want to rush this IF the update itself succeeds internally, there will likely be a lot of inhouse testing done by their Quality assurance team as well as SPCT before they head into possible Open Beta tests and the eventual release.

For all I know this is an "under the hood" type of upgrade, us players will likely not see any significant changes to the games looks.

If they manage to backport modern tools it should hopefully increase the efficiency and speed at which they can update the game whether its new content, balance or bug fixes.

Better performance, better options for them to fix issues about the game, possibly introduce means for them to utilize graphics cards more rather than mostly relying on fast single core processing power, better tools for them as well as more options for external tools such as anti-cheats.

Way more thought out then what I wrote.  This guy knows his shid.

I don't understand these technical situations. I have some questions, if anyone can answer, i would be grateful.

     • These are my doubts:

1 - Could you cite or list the benefits and perhaps some disadvantages of this update?

2 - When will she arrive?

3 - What do we have today and what will it look like after this update?

4 - Will this update help Little Orbit work and move forward with further updates?

5 - In practice, what will this change?

    1. I believe, and those with better knowledge can tell me im wrong, that moving over to 64 will improve the overall crashing you would get when playing and a lot of performance, overall less bugginess when playing the game.

    2. The update?  Most likely never.  But i'm a pessimist.

    3. So far they don't have anything at all, again could be wrong, and the update doesn't improve graphics, again also could be wrong.   Updating the game from 32 to 64 will improve overall performance and less crashing.

    4. If it does, god I would love to see APB as it was.

    5. Less crashing, improved performance, unless you mean something deeper.

Why do people watch fire burn?

This guy gets it.  He understands why we linger in this forum.

@Preme Say that this subscription plan works.  Let's say they implement it and it does what you want it to do, kills off ALL the cheaters and hackers in the game.   Where in your subscription plan does it say that the players will not only come home to APB but also pay a subscription plan?

Is your thought process that putting a subscription plan will revive the playerbase or I want the cheaters/hackers to go away lets hurt them in their wallets?

You've been saying that no one is back and forthing you with 'good ideas' or 'ideas',  give us some idea of how this all works.  How does this mean in your words:

    Quote

    "-more players will start playing"

    Explain.

    And your comment changes nothing

Neither does yours nor do the other half a billion posts you put in here.  You're more or less screaming into a void, a void which i'll remind you that are far more focused in working on others games to which they claim are not for 'monetary gain'

I admire your commitment to tell me how wrong I am and your commitment to fix this game, but it is ultimately wasted.

Yes. This surely won't lower the population and push away players at all!

Also cheaters have money to pay for premium.

Yet again, smartest thing said in this thread so far.  At that point you're /paying/ for an experience to get dunked on by a cheater versus moving on to the next match

There is no solution.  So long as the game exists, there will be a person or a group of people that will find an exploit or attempt to break the game for their personal gain.
