    Hello everyone!
    Some of you guys know that I love sniper rifles in general and I love how good NCR Anubis and Oblivion are now that LO put their hands on them (meanwhile SBSR-IRS still crying on a corner lol).

    This has made me think that, with enough differentiation, it's possible to carve a niche in the meta for every weapon in the game, despite being so many of them.

    To me, a big issue is how bad the N-HVR Reaper is compared to the Sitting Duck counterpart. Poor thing has less range and less diversity on his open slot that most of the times translates into higher TTK because of Reaper's incapacity to use CJ3. It's really sad to see such a cool/edgy legendary being outshadowed by a friggin' plastic duck, lol!

    So I was thinking: would an insane jumping accuracy, similar to 2012 Scout, be enough to make it viable? Right know Scout is already pretty damn accurate when you're in the air, but it's only really effective within 30 metres or so, it's very luck reliant outside of that range. I've heard a lot of veterans wanting jumpshooting back and honestly it does sound fun to try. Plus, Reaper has plenty of drawbacks so it wouldn't be broken/hard to play against at all.

    Farm a lot of money if you wanna buy legendaries. Playing FC/ram raiding greatly helps if you're looking for this.
    Create symbols that you can use/sell since your cap of usable object is 4 times higher.
    Customize your character/car for the reason above.
     

    But most importantly: never get off APB unless your house in on fire or a relative is about to die 😛

    Gotta say I completely forgot about LTLs since I find them boring and never use them. I guess they would have to addres this issue since they only hotfixed the server crash thing. But I still think it's doable, they've shown creativity in this regard.

    I completely agree with you here my dude, but your statement reminds me of that scene in The lord of the rings, where Gimli says "Never thought I'd die fighting side by side with an Elf", and Legolas answers back "what about side by side with a friend?" It's hard times for APB, and we gotta stay unite for the greater good!

    We have project "Riot" in development which would be an updated version of Choas District/Anarchy (What 2018 halloween was based off).

     

    It is a solution that would work, but I find myself asking is it a solution people want enough though?

    Iirc they said that Fight Club is gonna stay so eventually they should address the issues it has.
    Just done playing for today, same situation happened. At some point it was a 20 vs 9 game lol

    I like to consider myself a Baylan Shipping veteran, since I've been playing there only for a good year now. And during this time, there's one thing I noticed: here in Citadel, most of the time Criminals are on the receiving hand, making playing crim side hard mode Fight Club. (oh I'm an enforcer main so this post is not for whining lol)

     

    Not only that, but a lot of the time the teams are extremely unbalanced: 20 Enfo vs 9 Crim, or half silver team Enfo vs almost full gold Crim. Not to mention that this also causes a lot of people to switch faction and make things even worse for the weaker team.

     

    The recent Halloween event has made me think that maybe we should treat Fight Clubs differently than regular districts and put a matchmaking system that creates 2 balanced teams at the start of every match, without distinguishing between Crims and Enfos. That way everyone has a chance to win, and you don't start with an immediate disadvantage because you're on the wrong faction.

     

    Do you think this solution would work?

    Why is SBSR IRS priced the same as freaking N-HVR 762? And also why are the Norsemen weapon more expensive than the other SMGs while being probably the worst SMGs thenselves?

    I get what your classification cryteria is but I really do not agree with it. Each weapon from the same cathegory is more or less effective, more or less niche. Trying to ignore this fact is plain wrong imo.

     

    Btw I do love the new site, it feels much more clear and usable. Just fix your pricings please, they're better than G1 ones but still pretty far from good

    Imma not play this game for a while then. I just hate the free 7 metres bonus some weapon get, especially for what concerns NTEC. That weapon is already stupidly powerful enough without having more range in the first place.

    Tbf I think people have really short memory. Back to Mayb 2018, this game was literally a cheatfest and your best friend in APB could be a wallhacker and you didn't know. I feel like LO's policy of avoiding to mention cheater, and thus negating them their moment of celebrity, is actually very effective in stopping many players from cheating. This comes with the drawback of playerbase not knowing numbers and names, and since APB is full of crybabies they'll find anything to blame rather than blaming themselves.
    Cheating in games has always existed and always will, there is no 100% foolproof way to prevent someone from cheating in a game. I am personally very ok with the cheaters policy you guys have adopted.

    - Why hasn't Little Orbit fixed the Matchmaking system? / Threat needs to go back to the way it was / De-threaters

    That's a big issue, but I'm assuming you guys want to prioritize Engine Upgrade in order to open up more solutions to matchmaking/dethreating. While I understand your thought process here, this is imo one of the biggest reason why APB miserably fails in attracting new players, as they'll get stomped without any mercy by a bunch of assh*les that can't git gud at all. Once engine upgrade comes out, make sure to fix this whole thing asap, because it's very important.

    - Why did Little Orbit do the Weapon Balance? / Shotguns suck / IR3 changes are garbage

    As I stated above, people love to complain and hate changes. I died because I tried to outrange an OBIR with NTEC? "OMG IF I STILL HAD MY IR3 I WOULD HAVE KILLED THAT LOSER, CURSE YOU LO". That's the thought process most people make. I'm not a big fan of shotguns myself but I see a lot more of them running around and now I'm legit scared when I see one, it's no longer a russian roulette of you being dead to 2, 3 or 4 shots; and I've never seen someone complaining about shotguns for being bad in the last weeks. I think they are fine.

    Speaking of IR3, this change is universal and drastic. Universal means that it affects the metagame as a whole, and drastic means that the change is very noticeable. It's perfectly normal that some weapons end up getting the short end of the stick imo, that's the very definition of a metagame change. Some weapons totally did not deserve that (STAR LCR is still crying in a corner), some definetely did (lookin at u NTEC), but I think people will eventually adapt and stop complaining. Overall tho I'm happy that now weapon don't get a free +7 metres range buff anymore, but it comes with a real downside that makes you think twice before slapping that red mod anywhere.

    - Why isn't Little Orbit listen to me? / Why is Little Orbit listening to people that don't know what they are talking about?

    LMAO do I really have to discuss this? I mean come on, this game is PEGI18 afaik and children shouldn't be allowed to play.

    EDIT: The N-TEC 5 requires control of many things while almost every other weapon in the game lets you get off with only keeping track of one thing. N-TEC combines tracking, fire rate control (handling bloom depending on range), recoil control and movement + having to be aimed down the sights 90% of the time.

    Most other weapons in the game either have no real recoil, no actual bloom, can be used without aiming down the sights at similar ranges as the N-TEC *cough* OSCAR *cough*.
    I don't think it's the N-TEC that needs to be looked at but things like how the PMG can be used as a sniper rifle sometimes and how stupidly overpowered the OSCAR is in it's range category.

    And as far as jump shooting with the N-TEC goes, I do not see why that should be nerfed. It's already balanced well enough considering the fact that once you jump, you are stuck in a specific arc that your character follows as they fall down to the ground. It's not like we can easily manoeuvre left and right mid-air. The jump shooting is useful to those who can do it correctly and have good enough aim. I don't see the point of nerfing that whatsoever.

    CJ has a real downside, plus the benefit it provides isn't nearly as close as old IR.
    Not to mention that, if they "didn't listen to the playerbase", we would have a -21% fire rate with a +12 effective range. Thinking before typing is too hard huh?

    At least those huge vans with loads of HP and the ability to carry 3 shooting players inside them now have some kind of weakness. God I hate those cars.

    Game just needs more free content. Especially weapons.
    My suggestion would be to add all weapons from events to everybody, including newcomers. Then add an option where you can buy permament guns for in game cash, and lots of new weapons for cash. Because right now, every content that has been added was trough ARMAS.
