Reclassifying Weapons

Heard some players wanting legendaries to feel legendary again. But have we even had real legendaries?

That word is supposed to represent something unique and prestigious. Something that has a deeper story behind it.

APB legendaries are a bit cooler variants of normal guns. Some are bad, and while some are actually good, none of them truly feel legendary.

Also just because some of them have exclusive mods, does not make them that much better.

They are widely owned and traded. You can also buy them as trial. They might be cool, but not better than regular. Some have lost much of their market value.

Calling them legendary... I think it's an insult to the definition of that word.

They do not fundamentally change the game or stand apart from the rest of game's arsenal in a way that justifies the highest rarity classification.

Real legendary needs to be actually stronger than the rest, but does not mean too overpowered. But in general it should mean something truly special.

It should feel strong when using it. Of course in the way apb works, the hitboxes and everything else, might be difficult to make something that actually feels strong..
Its why we have so many reskins...
This game is very afraid to go a little off balance. If a truly legendary weapon is very strong, it should not be owned by many, because it's actually rare.
And it can be done without making it p2w.

Im proposing a more sensible tiers.

Standard/Common

Special/Uncommon

Rare

Legendary

Under this system, current legendaries would be reclassified as Rare, as they should be.

That would place them in a category that better reflects what they actually are.

The Legendary category should be reserved for guns with genuine significance.

Guns that are historically important to APB, tied to major events in the lore or having actually unique effects and appearance, and not just variants or reskins.

Colors are not the main issue here btw.
