Unlockable 4th slot in weapon.

The idea is that no matter what weapon you have, 1, 2 or 3 slot open, if you reach Max level with the weapon role, you could unlock a 4th open slot in any weapon of that role, so if you have a 2 open slot, you would have 3.
And if you have a 3 open slot, you would have 4, This way you could have a full modded weapon, and there's no way to get it with real money.
It would also be a reason to level up weapon roles.

Let's not. It's bad enough that moddable weapons are locked behind a massive grind (or a paywall), the last thing we need is to extend that even further.

No. Part of the balancing of mods is the fact that you have to make a choice about which set you are going to miss out on.

This wouldn't be part of the paywall, it's something you could get for free.

The point of ARMAS weapons is to skip the role grind, which means that if your suggestion were to go through, all ARMAS weapons would have the fourth slot unlocked by default. This would also be retroactively applied to all existing player-owned weapons.
