The character collision block.

Recommended Posts

Make the character collision block a little bit narrower. The body is quite flexible, and there are many places in the game where it is easy to pass in real life, but the character gets stuck there. Also, when they collide with another character, both stop. I think it's worth making the characters more slippery and not able to interfere with each other when in close contact.

Let's take a conditional average player. Silver, average skill level, knows how to shoot and think ahead. Who do you think is a cheater? Gold, sharp as diarrhea, destroys the entire enemy team in an instant. Who is he really? An experienced player who exploits game vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the rules. Anticheat does not see the difference between them. Both players do not break the rules. Now ask yourself the question: will anything change in your understanding of the situation if the anti-cheat works?

Your position can be described as follows: I don't want to play against cheaters. How to satisfy your desire with minimal expenditure of funds and resources? Answer: To allow you to refuse to fight with an unpleasant player without leaving the game.
Ask the administration to add to the game the possibility of exiting the mission, expanding the capabilities of the "blacklist", global selection of opponents (impossible), tightening the rules for editing the client, and so on.
Anti-cheat needs time to identify the fraudster. It may take, say, one day. During this time, the victims will get the impression that the anti-cheat does not work. That is, regardless of the state of the anti-cheat, the players' opinion about it will not change.

It's basically that the anti cheat needs to work much more proper way than now, at least fairfight banned the cheaters, instead of focusing at other things.

Its the lack of anti cheat which moves people away from the game.

My issue with the character collision is when there's a significant latency difference between the two players. I'll get locked in place because the other player is running into me, but on their side they ran around me. Giving the characters soft physics, like they're able to phase through each other if moving fast enough, would feel less clunky.

there still is an ignore list... why not connect it to the "matchmaker" and not select those players "first" for match but only if there is no other ones?

FF was a manual solution... few admins were just spectating players and manual banning them most of the time

Because it will cause problems with the selection of opponents. That's what a bunch of local trolls will tell you.
At the moment, the matchmaking system is set up for a quick selection of players. Often the forces of the teams are not equal. And the administration somehow doesn't give a shit about it. They've been walking in the same circle for years, making the same mistakes and not going to change.
Ignore false bans for more than six months. Then declare an amnesty and release an update that they have been working on for several years, remove the anti-cheat.... Sounds dumb, doesn't it? But they did it...
A lot of attention is paid to investing on their website. With this approach, any investment will go down the drain.

I am sure that no one will deal with changing the collision. They're just not capable of it.

You mean GM's were spectating players and found them fishy and afterwards banning them?

most likely a fairfight had some "triggers" that if you know about you could easly avoid
you could easly get banned for lagging while fair fight was around (one of my friends was) - or banned because you phazed through a wall and got insta killed by the system...
but alot of GM's were abusing a ban tools to ban ppl who were killing streamers and were playing legit and so on the list go on and on...  but there was also some ppl who actually done their job they were always in the game spectating its not that hard to look at 80 ppl on a district for like 10 min each and if you checked someone b4 there is no reason to check him again... (unless some drama on the district channel is unfolding xD)

I somehow have hard with such as for me it really depends of actual knowledge of what was going on and what was told. Def not saying what you say isn't truth, but there's so many versions of what people got banned for, how system worked and didnt work etc. Alot people heard it was like that and story got told again in a newer version (you know what I mean?) ^.^

Funny that I have played this game for years, I don't know any by my very old friendslist who got banned, or at least I never heard of it or them again. RIP
