The weekly installment of the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is being held in its usual slot on Wednesday and, as always, takes place in combination with the "Chipp's Car Club" (CCC) player event.

 

The starting time for the "LAPD Squad Meet Up" is around 19:00 GMT*. We usually meet up at least an hour or two before CCC starts and do regular patrols together as well as custom high speed chases (depending on whether or not open world crime is going on). If you want to participate - on the cop or the criminal side - just let us know.

 

The CCC player event does start at 21:00 GMT* and the location for this week should be the Financial Gold district. Please use either the  CCC Discord LINK or the  CCC APB Forum LINK for more details about the CCC event and the specifics about the district's event location. Members of LAPD Squad will again take care of traffic control during the street races after the CCC car show (where participants present their newest customisations). Any other enforcer or criminal interested in helping out - and thus doing something entirely different in game for a change - is welcomed to keep the traffic at bay with us.

Officer Foxtail and I went on patrol for a few hours in the past few days and ended up with quite a few very exciting pursuits and shootouts in both the Financial as well as the Waterfront districts.  Thanks to everyone on the criminal side who participated! The only thing that was mildly irritating was that the servers seemed to have some kind of issue with game freezes and people being thrown out to the lobby a lot (especially on Sunday).

@Rivona - Thanks, that is very kind of you to say. Funny thing is it was not even planned that way (I was just about to move away as I suddenly noticed Kuro was doing the screenshots and stopped so not to accidentally run through Kuro's field of view and ruin the shots).

 

Also it was great to see you finally participating in the races!

Thinking about the messed up jump that took both of our squad cars out of commission still makes me laugh!

As RL schedule allowed for it Officer Foxtail and I hit the streets for a few hours on Monday. As luck would have it, the patrol did turn out to be quite a busy one for us, as there were an unusual amount of criminals at work in town - robbing, mugging and stealing - trying their best to give our pursuing officers the slip. Wish I had some screenshots or video footage of those very cool looking, almost textbook arrests that we manage to make. While Officer Foxtail survived the patrol practically unscathed I did land in the ICU a few times, being too slow to take cover when the bullets started flying. Fun times nonetheless!

 

Anyway a short reminder that today is both "LAPD Squad Meet Up" day as well as the "Chipp's Car Club" player event going on. Hopefully we will see you there!
