So can we get a clarification on what shaders are DEFINITELY allowed?

the answer in the Q&A was pretty vague and doesnt really clear up anything. 

 

some people run the game with custom configs due to the game being unoptimized (poorly in fact), while some people use it to get better FPS overall. FYI Im not including Advanced Launcher since thats a separate topic itself.

 

however, some shaders like the OG borderlands shaders are definitely a topic of discussion as in the past they've been proven to give a certain advantage to the ones using them (e: see through smoke and particle effects)

You can use the advanced launcher, pretty sure he still said not to use any shaders though.

Borderlands shaders were illegal even when G1 was in charge. Any modification of game files will be flagged by BE exept advanced launcher
