I get it the servers for the most part, wasn't caused by them, but I would have much preferred they'd focus on improving the game overall, both on the back end and forefront instead of trying to spread their resources thin over all aspects that they planned for at the same time.

I think most everyone wanted that... but i strongly think they understood it wrong and started messing with the weapons without knowing what they been doing.

I saw it coming... i saw it coming. I really did, tried to warn them but i panic'd ;p

Can I just say that this is about more than just the cheater policy. I named them as examples but it's not the only thing the thread is about. I did criticize their cheater policy previously in a friendlier tone but this is mostly about the volunteer system and general GM presence.

@SillyBear I have been very vocal about this outside of the forums for a longer period of time. The only reason I am now taking it to the forums is because I feel I have been patient long enough. The forums seem to be the only place where you can reach LO in a reasonable amount of time.

Godbless your patience, not everyone can stand years of these apes ruinning the game as you did and when they are finally banned they given a "second" (wink wink) chance.

    I admire you.

I'm just shocked that out of nearly 1,000 applications we only have a handful of GMs.

Now we average 400+ players a day and they are taking applications again?

I guess you can only blindly deny so many applications while  giving your friends positions before you have to actually take things seriously.

    Hopefully it's not too late.

Oh and P.S. remember how the first time around applicants were told that accepted or denied, all players would be given a response? And that inquiring about your application would be a dark mark on you?

Well apparently that turned into "we don't have time to copy paste replies, so if you didn't get a response you got denied".

For whatever reasons this was NEVER explained to the community, so in case you were among the hundreds of players wondering why you never got a reply, now you know. And hey, at least it saves you the trouble of wasting your time by applying again.

A gm position should never be granted to a player it doesnt matter your excuse is.

I'm amazed you dare to complain about people being unimaginative with APB Reloaded yet all you manage to shake out of your sleeves in your post is weapon tier colors, which is basically even less imaginative than RIOT is. No really, it's literally a half-assed copy paste from games like Fortnite.

As long as you intertwine your creativity with APB's premise and lore the sky's basically the limit and even a BR would be fitting. The only thing that could stop you then is lack of approval by the majority of players (including potential players, not just the hand full of forum dwellers and socialpaths that's left of this game).

Another thing is that content is not only weapons or reskins, car kits or whatever pre-LO G1 has released before they basically had to hand themselves over to Little Orbit.

I'd much rather see something new in terms of gameplay. And then I don't mean racing districts.

Reviving economy is important... you barely understood what i meant so step aside please.

I think a thing that people often forget in range discussions is car game play. Thankfully the average player doesn't utilize the pioneer outside of some CQC rushes. There are a lot of areas in the game where you can completely negate the downsides of your weapon by driving around in the pioneer. This can be abused to a disgusting degree. One of the greater areas for this is around the skate park in financial. Play it right and you have no need to ever switch weapons.

Perfect example is the JG, it has crap range on paper but all you need to do is corner peak them once and secure a kill. Then, you can car game their spawns (Obviously I'm ignoring objectives here for the sake of the argument). You can fight in open areas where normally your shotgun would be completely crippled. Equip a blowtorch and high burn fuel to completely negate AV weapons. What's the point in changing range values when there exists an essentially no downside way of positioning yourself unharmed. As someone who has used a lot of AV weapons, it's way too much effort to take down a fully slotted pioneer.

It can survive an OSMAW direct hit at full health, the driver has enough time to jump out and with high burn fuel, even if I kill the car the dude won't die because of it. Then he can just proceed to OCA me down from behind the cover of the burned up car and I can't do anything because I'm committed to AV. Volcano can get a quick kill at longer ranges, but skilled drivers can avoid the second hit easily. DMR AV? It takes more than a mag to kill the car, that's 7 shots + reload time and then a couple more. 90% of the time the pioneer can drive behind cover or outside render distance. Even if I do kill it, high burn exists. Dog Ear is similar.

My point is that if we made this overpowered tank more manageable, people would naturally switch to more appropriate weapons. As is stands currently, you can keep one gun the entire mission in a lot more missions than you should be able to, simply because you can drive this mobile bunker. Then, after we see a more accurate meta that isn't inflated by car gaming, we can start tweaking values.

For that reason you need to spend a lot of money and time farming (up to the rank its given or maxing contacts) that could be your entire gameplay. Thats like a powerful gift as osmaw or opgl. There is no need for changing them.

Again craping players motivation to play is not a good idea.

Can't argue with this infallible logic, can I? Clearly the progression isn't an issue since new players would get bored in days if they got their hands onto the meta stuff that allows them to fight in a somewhat even field. I keep forgetting how fun it is to play unslotted guns and use shitty cars like the starter one or other unslotted cars, not having Spotter to have a legal wallhack on people for 8s with a 45s cooldown while playing against groups of people who have everything the meta has to offer.

Hmu for that apb sesh dude, would love to be educated on how APB actually works according to The SillyBear.

The fun is working up to them, how do you think ive been hooked in the game? Work for it.

Stop destroying games with "get it easy in a few days and then move to another game". You absolutly have not idea, so please stop it.

You're talking like you know what you're talking about, but you simply don't. It seems like you haven't played the game in years, there's no way you still believe that this game can afford having such a steep progression curve when it's barely populated. While it's true that there was nothing wrong with this progression style when the game was doing well, 9 years and a bunch of failures later, ain't nobody got time to invest into progressing in a dying game. Didn't it cross your mind that, maybe, APB can't retain new players because veterans are the biggest piece of the player base and just completely destroy them in any way possible? Or that, maybe, just maybe, we could shorten the amount of time it takes to get meta gear without compromising the grind for other things?

Oh, then you're more than welcomed to play vs me and teach me. 😉

Thats not a problem if the game gets populated how it should be, and thats fixing the "get it easy and get bored in days".

Imagine not reading what I wrote. I clearly stated we needed another style of progression, I didn't say remove it completely. Obviously, you need some sort of a grind for something other than just for the sake of becoming a better player skill wise, otherwise the game would be dull for most people.

WRONG. Progression is perfect, they need to remove the early player access to powerful weapons and mods to create an incentive to player to reach 195 or +.

Read what you  wrote above "everyone needs to be the same because loadouts", yeah no. Firstly, learn to play, then get the good weapons when you played long enough to deserve them. Any good player can start a trainee character and be at the same level of anyone because they know to play. Stopping crying for your oponents weapons is another step into learning to play and it seems you never steped in.

the weapons are what they are, only thing I got from this is "lets market our weapons to sell g1c"

They could use the multicolour weapons as rewards and make people happy with multicolour shit. As simple as it goes.

But nooo, censorship and being triggered for a furry video on forums is more important.

That's a good idea. Would make everyone happy.

Is not even an idea is being implemented in most places.

  10. I even gave matt another idea about prem that could be impremented using other games ideas. Since everyone is so obsessed with free stuff, they could pay prem with apb$. So people who pay for prem can get some extra ingame income to buy those "legendaries" and freeplayer have a chance to get prem for free, so they dont need to make premium "balanced" or not p2w because everyone has the fucking oportunity to get it and stop crying for p2w like the retards they are.

APB's gameplay needs a drastic change for it to become any form of interesting again for outsiders.

No, it doesnt, it just need to be properly executed.

Lot of works in the "mmorpg" aspect. Improve rankings etc, make players feel they are progressing and reward them for it, something you could feel before. That what pushed me to keep playing, because i felt it worth it.

Theres so many ideas you could spice apb with... i cant believe people is so unimaginative with the potential one game has.

Theres no even to do great changes... here goes a quick idea that ive got just typing: it goes as simple as having tier weapons. For example make legendaries legendary, they are mostly shit. Make people desire them. Make new tiers, you just need to fucking change its icon colour and give them some pristine name like "epic" -or some bullshoot like that, people would feel they are diferent- and give them a little more tier. Even more desire for weapons like that would be more rare and so on. That would revive the economy and make apb$ worth getting and worked on, that would motivate players to keep playing etcs.

Simple ideas like that that could keep moving the wheels, how is that so f4cking hard, and there they are working on a mode that barely anyone gives a shit.

God i am tired of seeing smart people ruining stuff.

edit: its not even an idea, its already done in plenty of places and gives flavour to the games.

  12. I dont think a race related mode would work, but using vehicles in apb is one of the best thing the game has. I would like to see more vehicles involved in missions.

People complain a lot about "running with items" and other car activities because they cant drive for shit and i witnessed it enough. Totally handicaped. I cant even understand how anyone would have so much troubles to drive in apb... play some nfs, you disgust me.

I'm not wrong at all. There's no incentive to play the game as a new player when all you do is get curb stomped by people who, even if they aren't good at the game at all, are able to completely destroy you just because of their loadouts and "just enough" game knowledge. You could say, "oh yeah? just fix the matchmaking and it's done.", well, the problem is more complex than that, specially when the game barely has 1k players online at peak.

Players should be rewarded for playing, they should get faster progression and/or a different style of progression which is what I think is the better choice. I'm not going to go deep on my thoughts about this here, but just know that there are much better ways to give players incentives to grind out the game other than just for improving skill.

EDIT: There's also no incentive for me to play, I got 2 maxed characters (I could have more, but I cba'd for a long time), all I'm doing now is maintaining my skill level and grinding out the roles passively and leveling my other alts. There's nothing else for players in my category other than making more and more characters and repeat the contact level grind.

Yes you are wrong and its fact. Turning this in a generic shooter where everyone is the same, everyone has the "skill" and not persuit for anything is going to miserably die.

If you dont understand gaming or fun just step aside please, im tired of equality bs speech.

Honestly, please stop developing this mode. I know it's tough since you've spent 1 year developing it, but it clearly doesn't even work properly without changing fundamental APB systems like the spawn system. If you actually release the mode without any further changes to the gameplay either, I'm telling you, that it's going to flop and divide the community. I won't bother playing the game if all I got is a financial district with 20/20 population, that's for sure. You know it's bad when most of us, veteran players, don't care about RIOT, all we want is matchmaking and game balance. Why not give us what we want? We've stuck with APB for so long just to be given a mode no one asked for. I know it sounded like a good idea to give APB its BR mode along with the engine upgrade for the streamer hype but that won't really stick when the mode looks like one of those CS mods and not like a fully fledged game.

Please, focus on the matchmaking upgrade and release that alongside with the engine upgrade and a couple of contacts instead of RIOT. Right after that, rework the whole progression system, MMORPG type progression is a huge disadvantage for new players in APB and since the game is struggling in terms of population, you need to be able to retain them somehow. There are way too many things to learn/progress in APB to be able to enjoy the game after 9 years of it being "officially" released (which means veterans are so far ahead of anyone else).

There's a reason why Fortnite and other games of the genre are thriving, and it's not just because they're BR games, it's because the only thing you actually need is practice, since everything in those games is already "unlocked" (guns and such). If you actually need tips on this just pm me and I'll gladly make a constructive suggestion list, the reason why I won't just do it and post it publicly is because you probably won't even read it or care to comment on it.

If I sound hostile, I'm sorry, but it's been almost 5k hours I've spent on APB and I'm just tired of bad decision-making from the companies that have worked on the game. LO has done some right things that gave us hope specially in the beginning, but it just seems like it's all going to go downhill like the old G1: bad roadmap, not enough money to develop the game and then, eventually, let APB rot in life support state.

    Listen to us.

The mmorpg progression, thats where you are wrong. You need to motivate players somehow with objectives and rewards, dont turn this to some kind of generic shooter?

Be careful with these comments because they are really lost with what they are doing.

I hope someone can give them some lights because i feel really sorry, specially for the game that i somehow would like to keep playing.
