  1. The increase in latency isn't because of the patch. It's because they moved all the servers from Dallas to California.
  2. Definitely would love to see these 3 things from RTW be put back into the game: -Earning Premium from just playing the game (paying for Premium was optional with RTW) -Gold 10 (this would bring the Gold districts back from the dead, and a reason to be Gold) -Car-chases (now that was a ton of fun) A couple of other things that would be fun to bring back as-well: -Old dumptruck physics (where you could smash pretty much anyone's car) -Vaquero & Ambulance being able to do backwards wheelies
  3. That is some great news indeed, and should make it near impossible to get your account hacked/hijacked. And also good to hear there won't be any issues mailing items after switching from one computer to another.
  4. I agree that it would be a more convenient way to do have some type of email or text message verification instead.
  5. There's a new restriction apparently (as the title says) when trying to email an attachment in-game. But how exactly does this HELP protect my account? I don't see how this protects people's accounts in particular. Is any login info/passwords or other personal info compromised when emailing an attachment in-game? Didn't think so. I find it quite annoying that i can't use my own computers (i have two), and be able to play the game without silly restrictions.
  6. Thank you so much for that answer. I guess it's safe to say that APB is alright with VPN's then (unless something changed just recently).
  7. Reason I wondered is because Steam (Valve) may ban/disable Steam accounts if you use a VPN to mask your identity (For example changing your country from one country to another with a VPN). I understand APB/Battleye ain't excactly Valve, but at the same time i wouldn't really know if Battleye is ok with VPN's, so that's why I made this thread.
  8. What kind of trouble were they having, was it preventing the game from starting, or did it ban people? Having trouble could mean several things lol
  9. Had a discussion with another player about VPN's today (he for some reason wanted to make it look like he lived in Dallas), and i told him there's no reason to do this, as it will make the latency higher, and would also most likely make the game laggy too due to fluctuating latency. (And this, for the most part is true with VPN's and gaming) But this got me thinking, are VPN's even allowed in the first place? (I'm thinking about BattleEye here), is BattleEye ok with people changing their IP address and locations while playing APB, or would this result in a ban?
