    So I was playing and must have hit a button and now there are no overhead indicators for mission objectives, or group or team members.  It will only show if i open the map, but I have to keep opening the map to find objectives....

     

    i checked the controls and dont see anything listed there for keybinding and logged out and back in.

    Ive literally played every mmo since swg, and this is one i play off and on again and yes, its terribly toxic.   Have you been playing a hello kitty version of this game?

    APB has one of the most toxic communities I've ever been exposed too in my life.  lol. 

     

    Now when G1 was running things, you could absolutely submit a ticket with a screenshot to their CS and they would police anything that was considered harrassment, hate speach, anti semetic, etc  and they would take care of it by muting them in game for a period of time, or temp ban etc.  They took that VERY seriously.

     

    LO though, good luck getting your ticket answered within 6-8 months, there are no actual in game GMs (real ones that is) to report these things too.  I remember one GM ( not the fake GMs LO has now but a REAL GM) used to patrol the districts and would even MUTE people that were cursing.  Thats how seriously they took it.    Im not sure they take these things as seriously as G1 did which is sad.

    because those arent REAL GM's.  Those are "Voluteer GM's" with 0 power.  Basically they are glorified forum mods, and only report suspicious behavior to real GMs.  It makes 0 sense to me why they even made volunteer GM's as they cant do anything, and are a complete joke and worthless.  Maybe they made them to scare people into thinking they were the real deal, which is pretty adorable.  They honestly need to stop calling them that since they arent GM's.

     

    I miss the old days when REAL gms were on the server and would insta mute people, float people who were breaking rules, insta ban etc.  Thats what is needed right now.  Its pretty ridiculous.

    yes there are people easily bypassing BattleEye. there should be some GM available in districts, replying live requests. like voting team members if they need help of a GM and then if the answer is "yes we need a GM look into these player(s)" then GM comes and if the team member are right, he/they get ban for a week or so. at least they become less blatant (like now they are using speed hack  or teleportation with no fear of getting banned)..

    This is how it USED TO BE. Even up to LO takeover, it was like this.  We say something on the forums, tiggs, puck etc would show up and poof fixed.  Once they took over, good luck ever getting any CS or GM to help you, and tickets take 6-8 months to even get a canned response.

    Ive played since RTW, and never EVER had this happen.  We removed someone from our team who was trolling and stunning and killing us.  So I removed him and called for backup hoping we would get some ACTUAL backup, and we got him again as backup and couldnt remove him as he no longer had a demerit as a new team member.....

     

    like I have said this has never happened to me before, did they change something to allow this now?

    Except thats not what they really are.

     

    The volunteer GM do this:

    Assist players in the game, be it to fix technical issues or share game knowledge.

    Monitor the chat, making sure that all players are following our rules.

    Reporting cheaters to our support.

    Reporting players who are not following our Terms of Service or Code of Conduct.

    Help the community grow, while maintaining order.

     

    they need to have the REAL gms come back in game like they used to before LO decided to make these wanna be gms

    The statement that not playing will reduce your rank is false.   I have several max accounts built back in 2010 ( Rolled character that were played only with specific friends/clan) that are still gold although they have not been played in 19 years.

     

    Also keep in mind that Ranking is based off of the W/L rank averaged between all the characters on your account.  The only legal way to de-rank is to make a new character on your account and just play. Because it is based of the W/L of the character you will drop from a gold to a silver in as few as 5 matches, unless you win all 5 which if you have the starter load out you shouldn't be able to win more than 3. 

     

    De-threating happens over time. It is affected by how much you team play, do obj, and assist and kill higher level enemy. (this is why you loose or gain rank and threat, and why you can go gold and max threat by loosing a mission) If you sit in game and do nothing else you will see your threat start to drop. So not playing does affect threat which is why if you have taken time off  your threat is at 0.

     

    This is why most vets will say, gold, silver and bronze rank mean nothing. Because the rank is spread among all of the accounts avatars.

    THREAT  is your color (ie bronze green silver gold) rank is your level in game IE 255 is a RANK.   

     

    it is impossible to "de rank" or lose rank unless you delete the character and start over. 

     

    Dethreating is losing the threat color...going from gold to silver to bronze etc

    Because thats not a REAL gm.  they have these volunteer "gms" that are basically glorified forum mods.  They only come in and look tough but they dont have any actual powers.  we need to have some REAL gms in game to actually do something about some of these people.  The volunteers arent actually GM's so lets stop calling them that.

    Ive tested many many things.  Im a content creator and currently working  super closely with Zenimax online for ESO, and have been one of 12 invited to their studios for the last 2 years to test their latest expansions  to provide feedback to their teams. So Im extremely familiar with NDA's, testing,  and press embargo's.

    I dont think the  old threat sytem worked well anyways.   Like I said before, I've felt for a long time that threat really needs to go away.  It literally means nothing because of the ease of its manipulation.  I mean you see you're fighting a "bronze" but that person was likely gold 1 hour before.  Its no longer viable.

    All i wanted is the old threat system back, broadcast ban names, a new map, finish up the aslyum map/district, better graphics, old graphic similar to the rtw version with that HQ bloom. I guess none of this is going to happen until 2023? no making jokes, I'm serious.

    TBH  threat needs  to  be  removed  completely as it  really  means nothing, and it is so easily manipulated.   I remember back in the day the old threat system it really was more rare to see a gold.   Not sure if asylum is on LO plate but hoped it would  be as I had always  looked  forward  to that being a mission district myself.
