I explained this already, you dont understand the poll I made and you are filling it with your opinions. I wont say that your opinion is bad or you shouldnt tell it, but its my poll and i know how it works, then the "metrics" i said are correct and this poll is perfect.

    What is opinion?

    Buff or Nerf?

    22 Yes buff nerf

    26 No buff nerf

    7 Maybe buff nerf

    29 Wat?

60 Shud up, yer poll is dum.

Now, the last two numbers are what we should focus on.

More than two times the amount of yes and no answers combined are saying that your poll is stupid.

More than either yes or no, think your poll is dum.

89 people think your poll is dum.

    Your poll has failed.

Since there is an increase of people who tries to insult me and call my thread troll while they freely farm posts, i will remind you:

    yOFlDfw.jpg

22 users who agrees that snr should be nerfed

26 users who disagree with snr getting a buff

7 users that probably dont even know what is a snr

29 users didnt understand the poll

60 users that think nerf threads are annoying

But is only a minority, why anything should be done against nerf threads spam?

Again... How do you get those metrics?

Because, when answering the question "Buff or Nerf?", I get 22 says it should be buffed nerfed, 26 say it shouldn't be nerf buffed, 7 that are on the fence it should be buffed nerfed, and then 60 users that think your nerf buff poll was stupid and confusing.

Basicaly want to get another weapon for the same value.. I hope theres somthing that can work out otherwise i just lost a bunch of money on it..

    Hi all,

Here is a quick update of where we are with the last update released on Friday:

    1) Installation issues

There are some ongoing installation issues with the latest patch. These issues seem to be centered around the following three scenarios:

    (a) Steam installer not correctly writing registry entries. We are working with Valve on this. It was a problem a long time ago. Hopefully we can get a fix from them soon. We are also starting a work around just in case that doesn't happen quickly.

    (b) Players who copied files or didn't use an installer to add the game to their system. This can sometimes happen when players back up one system to another. Again, it appears certain registry entries aren't getting made (despite installing BE over and over). The fix for this is to delete your APB install, and install it from scratch off the download link on our website.

    2) Lag / freezing issues

There have been some players reporting an increase in lag after the patch. We are looking into possible negative performance impacts related to the BattlEye implementation.

    3) Bans and detection

We are not broadcasting bans, and to be crystal clear - no bans have been implemented.

We took a very conservative approach this weekend. We didn't want a scenario where BE started mass autobanning players for incorrect reasons. We never want to have to mass unban again for some anti-cheat problem. Instead we chose to record and analyze the data, and then we will be processing players accordingly. Moving forward we are also adding extra detections one at a time till we feel the system is running smoothly.

Anti-cheat will never be perfect. It takes iteration and constant tuning. Little Orbit is firm in our commitment to leverage solid client-side and server-side systems to help us identify and eliminate as many players using unfair advantages as possible, so the rest of us can enjoy the game. We have put our money where our mouth is, and this process will be ongoing.

Having said that, there are some amazing players in the game who have spent years to master very difficult skills. They know the guns and their various parameters. They know the maps and where people tend to go. They know how to use APB's 3rd person camera to attack behind them which can look like a snap. My point is that to the average FPS player, these players can look like cheating. But APB is not an FPS. We need to make sure we don't punish good players.

    We appreciate your support.

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Again, give it time.

See now we get down to the real brass knuckles. I never said using a macro was ok or allowed. I said it doesn't matter, and that it really should not be an issue. As far as Tiggs and the TOS I already acknowledged that I was unaware of the change to the TOS and the original G1's stance on macro's. At one time they were expressly allowed. And, still no. A macro does not effect the game in a way that changes any mechanic programmed into the game. It simply alters the type of input as does a scroll wheel, or any other keybinding plain and simple.

Have any more words to throw at me?

Scroll wheel is programed into the game. Macro is not.

I also see you have a problem understanding the difference between internal and external.

And if it shouldn't be an issue, then it shouldn't be an issue on them not being allowed.

So, you've been fighting for nothing.

Who exactly is this "we" you keep mentioning, you act like tons of people are against me. Lol... It's funny how you derive those meanings from my statements and quote me, but still failed to show where I made any statements that you quoted.

    The first one:
I said I challenged every argument you made, I never said I won or lost anything.

    The second:
You are taking my response completely out of context and apply a "slippery slope" fallacy to attempt to gain ground on the subject. My response here was only to your claim that a macro is changing the game design. I guess you couldn't possibly have derived any logic from any of my other posts where I actually explained my position clearly since they don't further your attack.

    The Third:
This is not just " My definition". This is the proper definition as it applies to gaming and this conversation. Unlike your definition that you derived and altered straight from a google search.

    The Forth:

Once again you take the point of my statement here and attempt to twist it. The point here is that there is no benefit from using a macro. You then jump on a slippery slope and claim that well fine, if macro's are ok then I guess all cheats and hacks are ok to!

I am glad to see you took the time to spell this out for me. I can see now that no matter what I say, to you it translates to "cheating is ok" but you cant actually base any form of argument around my principle claim that macros net no benefit over other forms of rapid fire.

You have countless replies, and I have shown evidence and explained myself. You have just sent word after word and given no actual argument as to WHY you think macros are cheating.

Sure I have. You have just chosen to ignore them, because it's convenient for you.

    1) Tiggs/G1 has stated they are cheating.

    2) It changes the SEMI AUTO rifle to FULL AUTO. I've never argued if it is more beneficial or not. What I have said, is that it changes the core mechanic of a semi auto rifle. You've argued that it doesn't. When, it does. Thus, changing game mechanics. You're stance of "well, it just makes it simple and efficient" does not make it okay to use. Because, then you go down that slippery slope.

I know it's hard for you to grasp someone else's opinion.

I don’t play in bronze districts. If 75% of the bronze district is dethreaters then there aren’t that many new players to begin with so what is the issue?

New players will either tough it out and get better or they will continue to be bad and quit regardless.

Nobody still has answered how long a player needs before the training wheels should be taken off. Like everyone else, I was once new to the game. I had to learn it. I had to take my lumps. Heaven forbid I learned from my mistakes and got better. I should be the norm, not the exception.

    Too much entitlement

If you lose consistently and you’re not having fun find a new game or a new hobby rather than expecting people to change for you. Seems like some people want to stay in bronze district forever and not improve.

That number isn't accurate, at the moment. We've gotten a lot of influx, thanks to the press about LO getting APB.

But, during the dark days of G1 (before I got suspended), yeah, that number was up there, and if you check the charts, the population tanked.

That's the issue. That's what we want to avoid. When you start a game, and got 0-20 over... And over... And over... And over... And over... Constantly... You aren't going to stick around in that game. Hell, I quit Siege for a while, because I kept dying in the first minute. Then I watched the Pro League, and then, it just started clicking how to play.

With APB, there is no way to get it all to click early on. The map is expansive, and missions are nearly constantly different, unlike Siege. It's over whelming, when you try to think about it through the eyes of a new player.

And that's where the community is at fault. They fail the community by not wanting to help out the community. LO could do massive changes, but it's on us vets to keep people around.

You have either not read anything that is being discussed, or you are simply attempting to be smart. No one in this entire thread has condoned full Automation.

This is what I responded to. You have challenged, and failed. Simple.

See this is exactly where you are wrong, you are not changing anything, you are just making it simpler, and more efficient. Every single time you make an argument, you do not use any sort of information or resources to back it up, you BARELY bark your opinion and talk down to the other party, then use fallacies to try to sway peoples thoughts. You have no actually value in your statements. Your opinion is just that, an opinion, and a quite incorrect one at that.

    Good day.

This is where we get your logic. If using a macro to make firing a semi-auto into a full auto rifle is "simple and more efficient", then, to reduce strain on the wrists and eyes, smooth aim, and auto aim should be a thing, because it's "simple, and more efficient".

On 6/13/2018 at 6:36 PM, Dreadarm said:

Ok so for the sake of argument:

    Macro:

Is typically recognized as an expansion of instructions or repetitive actions that are pre-recorded and do not exceed a designed game mechanic. aka "full auto" or "rapid fire" which can already be achieved in the game by basic human input or a scroll wheel.

    Script:

Typically runs on a script engine and requires basic programming knowledge. It allows many advanced functions such as pixel searching and full automation of game play. AKA trigger bots, farming bots etc. It interacts with the game for you autonomously.

    Hack:

Utilized advanced programming knowledge, memory access, and prediction algorithms to significantly alter and manipulate the game play.

    Your definition of a macro.

On 6/13/2018 at 7:04 PM, Dreadarm said:

See, and that is where macro comes in, you are still sending mouse clicks or what ever key push you are using to fire. Its just an expansion of the instruction. There is no net benefit between a macro expansion and individual mouse clicks.

here is a good side by side comparison.

    ~video~

But since it sends mouse clicks (that you didn't do), then it should be okay to send mouse movements that you don't do. It's not, under your definition, of a hack, because all it is doing is moving the mouse, to make it more "simple, and efficient". It is not manipulating game play, because the user would have moved the mouse anyways.

    Same concept.

What have you challenged, and defeated?

Carbine is a semiauto rifle. Using ANYTHING outside of the game coding to change such behavior changing the mechanic of the weapon.

You just can't concede that you are wrong on this fact.

I have put NO words into your mouth. I've used YOUR logic of "Well, the macro just automates it, removing redundancy."

I haven't altered ANYTHING. I didn't go and change the Wikipedia page. I didn't go an change Tiggs post, nor have I gone back and changed my posts either.

Now, your tactic is to try and shut me down, yet there are numerous others that have additionally pointed out your flawed thinking.

So, walk away, and think in your own little world that you are remotely in the right.

People having been saying that for years. It isn't a new phenomena.  I am not saying there aren't people dethreating and such, but there does come a time when there are silvers and bronzes who have been playing the game long enough that they should be matched against people of all skill levels. How many hours of game time does an APB player need until they are considered a veteran? When I played in the bronze districts for a few days with my new friends we had legit matches most of the time. Sure we had the occasional rank 255 silvers with Volcanoes and whatever else, but you suck it up and you play, win or lose.

Sooner or later you have to point the finger at yourself and accept that either you need to get better or accept the fact that others are going to be better than you. Your skill will never increase if you're playing bad competition all day.

It's just hard to take these threads and comments seriously when you hear "everyone is cheating." "everyone is dethreating" "everyone is using a trigbot," etc.

What makes me so unique in my 6000 hours that I don't encounter these issues on a daily basis yet others do?

I don't really hackusate much. I don't think the cheater problem is as big as others would make you believe.

But, as far as dealing with the daily dethreaters, yeah, some are those floaters, but then there are those 255's that clearly have NO reason to be in Bronze. Yet they are there... Daily.

Ask any of the Silvers that play on Bronze, and we can list these people. Tryharding with OSMAW, HVR, NTecs, True Ogres, 4x4's, and Yukons. Going to the perfect camping spots, or running with items. Gotta win at all costs.... Against R50 and lower Bronze players.

I don't expect to win every match. Hell, I've watched MacieJay and KingGeorge lose matches.

But I don't rig the system to get put up against the easiest opposition.
