    But yeah, maybe EAC is a bit volatile and I wouldn't trust it with VPNs etc. Just funny to see certain people post on the forums about it.

    I don't think there is a good way to make them any better than they are currently. Coywolf for example has 40 more health and 0.6 m/s better top speed. Vegas 4x4, jericho and bishada etc. Have 200 more health than mikro and vaquero. Their acceleration and maneuverability is their strong suit, and if you buff their speed or health then they just become better versions of the current "best cars".

    Same thing happened to me, however I was never penalized for it. I got scammed, out of my own stupidity and blind trust, by a person who claimed to be from Israel, and rich. The steam account linked to my apb account was banned long ago due to refunds, however I can still play using my gamersfirst credentials..  I suppose APB still got the money and steam was the one scammed in the end, lol.

    Actually some good ideas here. 

    For the battlepass idea, if a battlepass ever was to be implemented into APB, I see no reason why they should be removed after the "season" ends. Instead, give the current season battlepass a progression speed bonus, for example 25-33%, to incentivize players advancing the current season BP. The past seasons could be bought individually, or bundled later into "battlepass packages" for example "BP 2023 Package" with all the battlepasses for that year unlocked. For a game like APB that has a slower development cycle, you don't want to lose any potential playtime/content as it is sparse to begin with.
    Look into how Guild Wars 2 PVP does reward tracks to get an idea how this could work in apb. You select a reward track from all the ones you have unlocked, and playing in PVP gamemodes advances the track you have chosen. At any time you can change your reward track to another, without losing progress. It's a pretty good long-term system.

    Mercenary idea not bad either. Could be a mercenary district for it, or a system that allows you to "convert" to a mercenary temporarily in normal districts. As long as many weapons, cars etc. are character bound, many players have all their things on one character so starting a character on the opposing faction is counterintuitive, to say the least.

    After all this time this level of honesty is almost touching. Many people had lost hope and quit years ago. Admittedly I too very rarely play APB anymore.

     

    The core gameplay loop was good for a long time, but eventually there's just nothing more to gain. You can only enjoy missions and fight club for so long without any visible progression, on your characters part or the games (developmental) part. But as long as you don't abandon this project, focus on the tasks at hand and somehow manage to secure funding to keep going, I don't see APB being done just yet. If you can add long-term progression systems, new content like weapons, cars and maybe even new gamemodes (again), this will be the first stepping stone. At this point, the old players will take anything they can get, but to revive the game long-term you need much more than small, sporadic content updates. The game needs a facelift on many departments.

     

    After that, you need a marketing plan. Starting with youtube ads and possibly sponsoring twitch streamers like summit1g might entice many of the old, as well as new players to come back and see what all the fuss is about. Even still, I don't think this game will ever be the new fortnite, but the hallmarks of a succesful product are entirely withing your grasp.

    I had the same issue back in 2018 or 2019, with 50$ payment. I had bought 50$ worth of joker boxes and there was some kind of error during payment, I didn't get the boxes but I was still billed 50$. Contacted support with screenshots of my bank account (payments), and the apb marketplace (purchase history). I had bought multiple things at the same day, and tried to explain to them that one of the payments didn't go through, as could be easily deducted from screenshots and my payments in the bank. But no, support saw that there was no problem and everything I paid for had been delivered to me. 

     

    If you're unfortunate enough to not get what you paid for, don't expect to get anything back. They will just blame Skrill Stripe (one of the payment methods) or whatever payment method you use, as they ended up doing in my case, and when I contacted Skrill Stripe they told my payment had gone through successfully. It's just both parties blaming each other and that's the end of that.

     

    EDIT: Might be wrong about some of the details because it's been a few years but I know I paid 50$ and didn't the g1c I paid for. Also corrected Skrill -> Stripe. Similar names 😛


    EDIT 2: In an email about support, they claimed the following: "

    I have investigated both claims: In regards to the purchased G1C issue, my records show that both purchases were completed on 8/8/2018 using the Stripe service and the appropriate G1C was sent to account, which was then used to buy many Joker Mystery Boxes. I will consider this resolved."

     

    The joker boxes part is true, 8th of august I had bought many joker boxes.


    Except it was not 8/8/2018. It was 9/8/2018, (european style, day/month/year) when the purchases didn't go through. This is evident in the screenshots of my bank account, that I will obviously not share here.  Even though in my original ticket I said the following: "So I tried to buy G1C credits twice 09.08.2018, and I did not receive them.". They somehow turned it around that I had infact received the credits I paid for, and used them the day before the payment? And it remained unsolved ever after.

     

    EDIT 3: You know what, fuck it. I found this old screenshot where the payments marked with red X were the ones I was billed and never got the credit for. The payment marked with green check mark was a payment that went through succesfully and that the support focused solely on, even though that payment was never the problem. They ignored my problem entirely.

    Also I think the reason why the payments look different is because they were done with different payment methods. I can assure you I never used Stripe again after this.
