    Pretty crucial things imo.

    Idk if anybody else had mentioned thus but Overwolf have stated they're in contact with the makers of the Ultimate Crosshair and they're going to try and make it an official app so it won't be bannable

    it might sound absurd to you , but palm trees can really grow anywhere

    I mean it's purely an aesthetic thing. They're called islands, just housings for plants. They build a closed wall, fill it with nutrient rich soil and stick pre-grown trees or whatever in there. You see this a ton in the desert, especially in rich neighborhoods

    It does look fine but it isn't that good.

    It makes me wonder at some point in the future if Little Orbit will hire a third party company to re-do the assets of everything in APB in higher detail or will they consider undertaking that task themselves? Maybe they could even think about approaching NVIDIA at some point about implementing hairworks into APB or some other proprietary technologies that NVIDIA are showing off. 

    I mean they did say they wanted to update the look of APB in terms of quality. Doing a pass on all the models is kind of essential for that. I could definitely see APB getting a few major visual upgrades so it looks current gen in the hopefully not so far off future


  5. 3.5 is going to come with a plethora of visual/rendering changes and it can just get better with there

     

    RTW had terrible bloom which you only see in of course older games nowadays bloom is much higher quality and not much of an eyesore. What people are probably misunderstanding as “better” bloom then is the cross shape to the lights. Now we just had big blobs. Imo RTW was insanely too bright as night. I’d you’ve ever been in an actual city you’d know it can be fairly dark

     

    Aside from some minor color palette changes there’s not that much of a difference between G1’s “style” and RTW’s. When we finally get our hands on 3.5 and can see the changes live with our own eyes then people won’t be so eager to get that RTW look back

    I don’t remember seeing anything about it myself. Consoles are on 3.5 but look almost exactly the same UI wise besides some changes needed for controllers 


  7. One thing I was curious about is finishing the implementation of scaleform UI. Currently the main menu and FPS counter are the only implementations. They were going to transition to it for optimization purposes since the current UI for inventories decreases FPS by quite a bit but they stopped pretty early for whatever reason. Engine Upgrade probably took priority at the time

    They did say they were going to do a pass on the models or a visual upgrade iirc on the open letter blog. I agree that APB drastically needs a visual upgrade. Characters, weapons and vehicles still look like they’re stuck in last, last, last gen graphics though we’ll likely need to wait on either UE 3.5 or 4 because they have to dumb down the poly count and texture resolution on everything for optimization purposes

  11. It’s actually kind of sad how entitled the community has gotten. Obviously the old management did almost nothing for the longest time but that doesn’t mean you should just flip your shit at the new team just because “nothing has been done in a month”

     

    It’s not like they bought the company then instantly got the new devs and team set up with the game. Lord just have some patience

    I'd imagine they would've fixed it by now. Don't think they would've gotten rid of it, a lot of people including myself love it


  13. No one can say but they're communicating already 10x more than G1 was when they acquired APB and they seem like good people. I think it's worth it from the population boost on its own. Jericho has been almost hitting 700-800 people by itself every day which is a lot considering on a good day before Little Orbit came around it would be around 300

    Night and day cycles are already in game though

    lol Thank you. New face? I honestly don't remember the last time I posted her anywhere. It's probably been a few years. I did look at old screens of her way back and I had zero clue on how to model my preferences onto a character so she looked really bad. I think she looks really good now compared to before so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
