    Safe to say I was pretty disappointed. He thought I was bragging about my skill so he tried to get me into FC to 1v1.

     

    I can admit I don’t play not nearly as well as I used to since I’ve been away for so long. He got close to killing me by himself once and that was it. FC was heavily crim stacked and spawns were a nightmare so every time I’d even get close to him I’d get lit up by his teammates. Also probably not a good idea also to admit you’re macroing in a supposed carbine 1v1 match

     

    Overall I’d rate this whole experience 5/10. He definitely didn’t prove his point

    The only good player crim side on that scoreboard is stockii. 11-0 with a bunch of average golds and silvers is not impressive especially since it's obvious you've been using car det a lot with that teamkill demerit+ the vehicle kill badge

     

    If I join FC on my crim while you're on and you're not even half as good as you say you are I'm gonna be really disappointed

    I’m sorry but if you think IR3 can make the carbine out gun an N-Tec at 50m with just hipfiring you have no idea what you’re talking about

     

    IR3 actually makes the carbine worse overall because of the increased bloom. It’s only good for marksmaning and that’s it

    I just think you should be able to customize the gun and make it look however you want regardless of mods. Obviously stuff like magazine/clip types/sizes and suppressors should have a physical effect on the gun. Like extended mag would obviously give you an extended magazine, suppressor gives you a suppressor, etc..

     

    I know it's asking for too much atm just suggesting lol. LO has already said APB needs a visual upgrade. They definitely need to do an art and animation pass on the weapons. We still don't have any proper reload or firing animations for literally all the guns ingame

    I doubt that ever happens too 😜

    Pretty sure a dev touched on gun skin customization years back and they mentioned it was possible. APB needs a ton of optimization plus a server upgrade before we see anything like that

    We shouldn't even have multiple weapons with just one subtle cosmetic difference in the first place. A lot of people have been asking for full weapon customization for a long time. I mean look at armas. Some weapons like the Obeya/Atac/N-Tec, etc... have 3 different types of reskins with only slight visual changes like a different scope, stock or barrel

    We know players will use all sorts of game-breaking glitches and bugs to win rewards, so use that abuse to our advantage to find them all.

    That was supposed to be the purpose of being able to test it in the first place so they could work out any kinks before it goes live. I don’t think it would hurt at all

    Yeah I'm aware of them making it public just wondering if they would give us access to the EU build. I mean it wouldn't take away ALL the players that's kinda of exaggerating lol. Mostly just people that want to test it. There's a good chunk of people that could care less

    It's not to say that the company folks can't be compromised... That's happened in APB before, if I'm not mistaken. But never mind that...

     

    Maybe once LO gets this thing rolling and they get into a more neutral cruise mode, they'll put on some more contests that could be handled well. I'd probably participate in one. I've never participated in any of APB's stuff, I don't think. I thought about doing one of the Art Contests in the past but... I dunno. I guess I wasn't in the mood at the time. I told you, this stuff is a real chore for me, lol.

    Yeah I could see them doing some major contests later on and LO already seems to have a much better connection with the community than the past devs ever did so hopefully they won't make the same mistakes. I'll probably enter if I'm even in the mood to draw. APB has kind of drained my motivation atm lol. I'd love to post stuff here but man I just can't find the will right now

    In the case with the BDO contest, it's not so much I ever expected to win--I didn't. I just didn't like how when the folks were caught, they tried to save face and pretend like they didn't know what anyone was talking about. And more to the matter, it was brought to the attention of the CM's and they didn't do anything about it.

     

    It was like, "How can you run an art/design contest and not know enough about art to know when someone is so obviously cheating?"

     

    One guy in particular was something of a forum hero, and the whole thing was practically a popularity contest in the beginning anyway. He kept getting selected by his fans because they didn't know any better, and more over, they didn't care that he was a cheat. CM's did nothing. The whole thing just made me not even want to be a part of that community. I can say a lot about the APB community, to be fair (and I have) but nothing like that ever happened here. You get your standard run-of-the-mill trolls here. Not much else...

     

    I just left the whole thing. I was real disappointed in how it was managed and everything.

    Ah that's right I forgot it had a community vote too. That just leaves all sorts of openings for problems. It should've just been a small team of artists that worked for PA that would do the picks. APB did have an art contest a while back that left a lot of people pretty salty. It did seem like a lot of the winning submissions were solely reliant on popularity/likes than actual quality. We did have a few cheaters also too though of course APB's contest didn't have not near as big of a prize as BDO's but still. There were a ton of "Well why didn't MY submission win??" posts after it was over

     

    I've become kind of numb to poor decisions from devs that's why I still play BDO but yeah the whole thing did leave a bad taste in my mouth after. If they ever do it again, which they will because this would be Korea's 2nd one hopefully it'll be a lot better managed. I think they kind of bit off more than they could chew with that contest with including every region that's probably why it was so mismanaged in the first place

I won't get into it here because it's just water under the bridge at this point, but the whole experience really turned me off to the entire game.

     

    At least the designs came out all right, though! And yes, there were lots of cool designs submitted.

    I still play occasionally. Game is still fun despite all the issues. The only drama I remember was a couple submissions that were obviously plagiarized that made it into the 2nd round of entries. Other than that I had no problem with the whole thing. Didn't even expect to remotely place since I'm just a hobbyist and not a pro concept artist but it was still a little fun deal to mess with

I was really trying to figure a lot of stuff out. The most recent of the bunch is what I did for Black Desert Online. I think I made those this past February for the contest they were having. I didn't win 😞

    Hey I actually remember seeing your design in the contest. There were a ton of insane and great designs. A lot of bad ones as well but I did like yours. I feel you though, I waited till last minute on mine unfortunately and it turned out rushed and choppy so I didn't expect to even place even in the top 30 but it was still kind of a bummer lol

    I had high ping and packet loss when I was on. Though usually my hitreg is garbage regardless. I will say there were a few times where I couldn't get a single hit on somebody standing still. I usually fire pretty slow to test my reg and make sure I'm not ghost shotting

    Unless they tweak it to do so, I doubt it'll be a problem.

    Not too fond of the little cartoon shaders that let you see through smoke but the shader crosshairs are a must for me since I can barely see the damn vanilla white crosshair. I hope they stay allowed for the time being until APB can get some proper customizable crosshairs
