Some good questions, guys. Let me try to answer a few of them:

Bundle discount procs on items in your inventory. That means if you purchased things through ARMAS, you still get the discount on bundles if you own items from that bundle (no matter where they came from).

Yes, some of the items that are only available through cross faction packs will slowly be made available. For example, with this patch, Handgun Leg Holsters and Spray Cans are available for both factions. In addition to those, the faction specific rigging, Tactical Leg Rigging and Urban Leg Rigging are also both available for both factions.

    Yes, items are customizable!

We have another article planned for tomorrow 🐝

    Perfect. Couldn't be any better.

  2. This is HUGE for newer players who have less Armas items. Good stuff.

I am also interested whether these are all customizable because I don't see it mentioned anywhere in the blog post?

And, yes, are we getting cross-faction with some of the faction-specific items? I think you should, it's important.

  3. I've looked at the 3D model of the map and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised at how good it looks. I would love to play on this map, mainly because it would bring much needed freshness to APB and it would open it up to an enormous set of new scenarios of how missions could play out. It looks very promising and your level of dedication to the project is commendable. I assume that after some time of proper playtesting, there might be spots that could use small rebalancing/tiny changes/tweaks as they usually do but its a definite yes from me.

I see some concerns about splitting up the population. Honestly, everyone knows both Financial and Waterfront like the back of their hand 10 years in. If they really want to properly introduce this district into the game, they could easily make it so all contacts could be leveled in this district, at least for the time being, until more contacts are introduced/moved around and until there is a growth in player population. Also, yes, I can see this bringing a bunch of players back to the game because it is a breath of fresh air that we've needed for longer than you've worked on this project.

I think this map should still be used for missions. Even if they kept the same old missions but made to work on this map, it would still be very interesting to play because the map is completely new and different for everyone imo.

  4. The pants are from this clothing pack on Armas (cash shop): (Street RX Outfit) https://www.gamersfirst.com/marketplace/ingame/product_details.php?storetype=g1c&gameID=20&productId=3161

Currently costs 381 G1C as everyone has Premium active for free right now and Premium gives you a 20% discount on all Armas items. The lowest amount of G1C you can purchase is 500G1C for $6.00 so you'll have some leftovers too. This pack is character permanent and will not be available on any other characters you have or create in the future as it is character bound and not account bound. You could always repurchase again on other characters of course.

Alternatively, you could wait for the weekly single-item sales that cycle every week on Armas where most items from all clothing packs get debundled and sold separately for prices as low as 49G1C a piece or sometimes 99G1C. These items are also character bound.

  5. Some people still don't seem to understand that what happens on the current live game doesn't matter all that much. The game is not being advertised or marketed anywhere and the game is kept on more or less life support so we can play it in the mean time. They are doing some band aid fixes that can be done easily on this engine (like they have) so they can later port them to the new one but there are other issues they cannot fix easily on this engine. What matters in the end is what the end product will look and perform like whenever they decide to market the game and actually try to gain players. That is after the new engine does come out and many things (ghost shots included) are hopefully fixed. This is how I see it at least.

and what's with that? these are two slightly different mechanical games.

Almost every shooter has both recoil and spread (bloom) which works in a similar way. I am trying to explain it to you and anyone else who has doubts, that these two values are separate and that APB's spread is based on the server and cannot be hacked or cheated.

perhaps the fact that I have taken as a basis is not the best sample. unfortunately, I will not even show other samples, because they can attract young heroes to feats

There are no existing examples of no spread in APB, at least not from the last 8-9 years. Maybe way back when the game originally came out no spread cheats were a thing but most definitively not today. Spread is RNG calculated on the server. Recoil can be removed with cheats however. Here is a good example from CS 1.6 where you could use no spread and no recoil:

Check towards the end, that is what nospread is. Pinpoint perfect shots while full auto. That does not exist in APB.

how did you even get into SPCT?

That's not nospread. That's no recoil, which is different. The Shaw has little to no bloom whilst firing it crouched and not moving which coupled with the no recoil makes it appear as if there is no spread but thats just the gun itself. Proof: https://i.gyazo.com/863d68c996376b9c3e39929ec7f3884e.mp4

No spread would mean that literally every bullet would only ever go into the perfect center of the crosshair, such as the machine gun in Quake games. Clearly this is not the case even in this video and such a cheat does not exist in APB. Recoil is the crosshair moving up, left and right as you shoot, NOT the crosshair BLOOMING out (becoming larger in radius) thus increasing the SPREAD which increases the RNG of bullets.

The Shaw seems extremely overpowered when you look at it with no recoil such as in this video but the main challenge to using it is the recoil. Stripping that of it you are left with a lasergun as seen in the video.

  9. That's an oddly specific thing to want to remove. But yeah, it is surely packed in one of the bik files and you'd need to go through the tedious process of unpacking and then repacking. There is only one person around here who ever really bothered with sound replacements in APB and thats the creator of the RTW Vegas sound mod. It is too complicated and time consuming for most people to bother. I don't know what software you need to use even.

Russian guy named Daruma had over 300k kills in 2015. There’s another Russian guy who doesn’t play anymore, but he had multiple 16 roles on different character. His name was something like ‘unquiet’. Me personally have over 300k kills among all my chars

In February, 2019 I estimated that I have a bit over 395k kills total across all my characters since 2010. That has gone up to roughly 470k+ to current date but its safe to say that 500k+ with deleted characters and alts included is reasonable.

I know about them from long ago. Did some research to refresh my memory also when what was released.

But the thing is how do you expect to put those kits on a car that cannot be unlocked on the enforcer faction. Do you understand what is the issue here?  My reward doesn't tell me I have the "Customizable 4-Slot Vehicle: Bishada" included and don't want to activate my item for nothing. Because the item is timed, isn't permanent. I don't play missions and certainly wouldn't use this car for such things.  I did fightclub and wouldn't use it there too even tho I am finished with that thing.  I just want to customize things as a form of entertainment. FC became a drag too and I got what I was looking to unlock for JT, I can live without the rest I wanted...

Lately I fancy the idea of just customizing cars, other things and selling few.  I even gave some away to new players while I had money for it in a span of 3 months back, to help them out in these weird times. Would like to make personal Kissaki for myself to keep it for random meets etc. If I earned it as a reward I want to actually feel it as a reward. Not sure how to explain this really...  Every person is different and likes different things. I like my rewards to be permanent because I like to own my things.

Understandable and yeah, I originally thought that it isn't permanent, but it is. Assuming we are talking about the same reward, I don't believe there is a timed version of that JMB reward. I got the car and kit permanently on my enforcer out of a JMB.

  12. If I'm understanding this correctly, you thought that its a bug that you received a Bishada with a kit for it on your Enforcer? The Bishada Kissaki is an exclusive Bishada kit for enforcers only. It is indeed available on Armas right here and always has been: https://www.gamersfirst.com/marketplace/ingame/product_details.php?storetype=g1c&gameID=20&productId=2645

Same goes for the Jericho for Crims, they have their own unique exclusive body kit that you can get from Armas only: https://www.gamersfirst.com/marketplace/ingame/product_details.php?storetype=g1c&gameID=20&catID=64&subcatID=177&productId=2412

These have been here for years, even prior to the "dark age" and they've always been on Armas.

You got it out of a Joker Myster Box. I have two of these on my enforcer. It unlocks a permanent 4-slot Bishada on the character and gives you the kits to customize it. You can even buy the bundles of other Bishada kits from Armas on an enforcer character and apply them to this variant of the Bishada. Vice versa for Crims with the Jericho.

Game's obviously at an all time low but don't use 5AM stats to back your claim because thats just incorrect and unfair towards the game.

While I want to say that those numbers are indeed impressive I also want to mention that APB has rarely ever had an issue with blatant cheating (Shaw copters) outside of a hand full of time periods such as when a certain cheat went public and for everyone to download.

APB's real issue with cheating lies in the closeting area with people running their cheats on very low settings that still let them compete / consistently beat the top 1% of players through means of narrow FoV aimbots, smooth aim and silent aim. It is this type of cheating that has become more common with the switch to BE again, same goes for basic Triggerbots and Macroing, both have seen a noticable increase and even at the most blatant level of triggerbotting / macroing these players are getting away with what appears no problems at all. I've personally seen multiple dodgy and one extremely blatant example of triggerbotting players that are playing daily and have not been banned under BattlEye even tho they've been going since it was implemented and I am sure there are many many more.

If you want to stick with BE moving forward it is this type of cheating that has to be combated as the idea of being a good player and wanting to play on a high level starts to mean less and less, eventually getting back to a point where you simply do not know who is cheating and who isn't anymore, this was the case after FF was made automated.

    Basically this.

Numbers of bans on cheat makers who make dummy throwaway accounts to inject and see if its undetected under BE don't really matter. Its all about the end results of active existing closet cheaters that roam the game in full force and some are even being supported and reinforced by small portions of the community that don't know any better. Especially ones that had even managed to cheat under EAC undetected for months. I think that we need a strong server-side solution to work side by side with whatever client side we're using.

Also, after reading some of the other replies here I have to note that many players still want to come out with "but I'm bronze and I get hackusated for the dumbest reasons". Yeah, by other bronze players you do. We're mostly experienced veteran high skill players, some of us with a decade of experience under our belt, who understand the mechanics of the game in-depth. You getting hackusated in the bronze district does not play a role in the actual BE cheater problem discussion. Those are two completely different things. You need to keep in mind who the person making accusations is and what their experience is with the game (and maybe even with cheats or cheat-making).

  15. Remember when I said that N-TEC didn't need a nerf but its actually nothing but silvers whining about it because they get dominated with it, and that even after the nerf they will keep whining about it because they still get dominated by it (because they suck compared to those exact N-TEC users they whine about)? Oh and that these players are the only reason an N-TEC nerf was even considered to begin with?

    Yeah, hi.

  16. I've been maining N-TEC for 10 years.

It really depends on how much is visible of the target's hitbox and whether they are moving, how well you can track them and even a bit on RNG sometimes. I'd say you could do it up to 40m-45m. Up to a certain range you can burst in 2-3 shots and past that range you can only tap fire. Tap firing can still be pretty quick if you know what you're doing.

Spraying in close range is often the only option but that's within less than 4-5m now with the current N-TEC stats. Often times you might need to tap or burst 3-4 shots in close range in order to not bloom out too much. Furthermore, its a good idea to just crouch and hipfire spray in close range because that tends to be more accurate. You can even hipfire while walking when you are really hugging them, that still works nicely. Jumpshooting doesn't work well anymore but if they are already tagged 72/85+ you can use it to finish them off at less than 2-3m. I wouldn't recommend jumpshooting in any other cases anymore.

Keep in mind that at some point you start working off of instincts more than numbers when you get good, so its likely that I can get exact numbers a bit off without actually testing them precisely. This is also taking some risky moves due to high experience into account, often ones which you shouldn't take at first.
