This community is like crabs in a bucket.

Crab mentality or crabs in a bucket (also barrel, basket or pot), is a way of thinking best described by the phrase "if I can't have it, neither can you". The metaphor refers to a bucket of live crabs, some of which could easily escape, but other crabs pull them back down to prevent any from getting out, ensuring the group's collective demise. The analogy in human behavior is claimed to be that members of a group will attempt to reduce the self-confidence of any member who achieves success beyond the others, out of envy, spite, conspiracy or competitive feelings, to halt their progress.

  2. As long as they're just glorified ticket writers and walking help kiosks, Im ok with it. If they have any authority or power in any shape or fashion however, I am not. Lets not relive the same bullshoot please k ty.

GM's only follow the SOP if they are A. Paid well and B. Work physically in the same location where they can be monitored and C. If there is an actual SOP to follow to begin with.

Getting someone to program or make a website for low pay or free is one thing, getting people to police other people for free is a pipedream. No matter what you do, favoritism and elitism will be the end result, and we already seen what happens when you let G1 employees be in clans with their buddies.

  3. Look up individual builds on pcpartpicker. There's lots of posts of people making their own PC's with set budgets.

The only big site that pcpartpicker doesnt price match with that Ive noticed is microcenter. Past that, pcpartpicker.com is pretty good for making builds. gl. 🙂

I don't think outfits themselves mean any hatred as long as the creator does not intend them to be or use with such intent.

Used to be okay back in the older days as long as it does not contain any outlawed political symbols such as the ones from NSDAP. If anyone gets triggered by this it's their problem...

Quick low detail NS themed outfit:

Personally I'd get more annoyed by social district looking like moviehub with all of those titties and whatnot plastered all over the place...

  5. It's a god damn game you guys literally act like this is real life.

Stop being mad at someone playing the game in a way that hurts your feelings. Who literally gives af how people dress in APB. The point of the game is to kill each other to level up to max rank. Anything else past that is filler and extra stuff to keep people entertained. If you don't like how someone is dressing in-game just ignore them or go somewhere else. This is no different than the crybabies who throw tantrums about anime outfits, furry outfits and anything that hurts their fragile feelings.

Stop acting like crybabies and grow up. Focus on yourself and not what others are doing. Snowflakes, man I swear to god.

  6. Most major MMO's have a strike count ticketing system and even cheating is a series of suspensions before a perm ban.

In online shooting games there is no strike count and it's just an autoban for cheating.

APB is a mix of a mmo and a shooting game, so I can see why it's not as clear or easy to make a solid Standard Operating Procedure. The way I see it, is that if you run a game that has Inventory, equippable weapons, an Auction House and "battlegrounds" (segregated small scale pvp zones), the game falls under an MMO. Because of that, I hope LO implements some form of actual SOP with a proper ticketing system so that players can receive proper treatment this time around vs the old rules where there was well, no rules at all.

A game cant expect the players to follow their rules if they don't even have or follow their own rules to begin with. The community turned so toxic because it was like the wild west around here for years, there was 0 actual functioning rules or laws in place.

  7. hahha this was like reading one of those imgur threads where someone talks about their dog or spouse or sibling who passed away and you see the before pictures with them all in it and everyone is happy followed by the pictures of just them by themselves and everyone is gone. lol. feelsbadman haha

EDIT: The blue muzzle flash once you've modded a gun was the beeeesssssssssssstttttttttt

  8. Didn't they buff the Montane and T-25 so they take a lot more damage before blowing up? I know no one barely uses them but I'm pretty sure they're both pretty good cars.

The only reason why I like a pio over an espacio is because you can hop/run up the back of a pio and you can't on an espacio. Past that they're the same to me.

EDIT: I wish the morai didn't flip over so easily. 😞

An automated system which enforces you to switch to a silver/gold district as soon as you upgrade to gold threat would be more ... .... friendly, don't you think?

Ok but what if some of your friends arent gold and you are, that means you cant play with them?

The entire threat system is trash, please dont put a band-aid on a festering wound.

  10. I didn't see it in the first few pages so Ill just ask it anyways:

The mail system / storage system

It's pretty safe to say all veterans of this game have tons of pages of mail that they use to store symbols, themes, songs, clothing and other stuff. Is LO planning on implementing an actual storage system for all of this stuff so in the case that all of our mails get wiped on a future engine update or something, everything doesn't get lost?

I know I'm not the only person who designs and has hundreds of pages of mail. Between just two of my characters alone, I have a little over 2000 pages of mail and all of it has items attached to them.

    Thanks~ ^^
