  4. The servers are now back online - If you are encountering any issues starting the game please run the "GFAC_Updater.exe" as well as "Updater.exe" in your GFAC Install directory. If this doesn't fix your issue please let us know and we will investigate.
  5. Hello everyone, Quick update: Our team has resolved the final issue that was blocking the release, but we’ll need to run one more build and complete an additional round of testing to ensure everything is stable before going live. We estimate this process will take around 2 more hours.

We've been working closely with our Network team - Unfortunately, like many other companies right now they are being hit by insanely large scale DDoS attacks which is what players felt the last week. These attacks aren't directly targeted at APB - Even Valve was hit with a similar 32tbps attack. That said the situation should be getting better now but players may notice small hiccups every now and then.

Todays patch aims to resolve some of the ongoing Matchmaking issues as well as an issue causing some players to get a corrupt driver which is causing Blue screens. Thank you for your patience.

  14. Hello everybody, This post is to inform you all that we're aware of an ongoing issue causing a small amount of players to receive a corrupt version of the newest GFAC driver. We've been working around the clock to address this issue and believe we have a working fix that we can deploy in the next couple of hours. We want to sincerely apologize about this - Blue screens should never happen in a production environment.
  15. Hello everybody, Our standard weekly maintenance will be held this Wednesday (10/01) starting at 9 AM UTC. The game should be back up and running in 4 to 6 hours. Fixed a couple of bugs related to the Matchmaking changes shipped early last week such as one creating heavily lopsided missions. Added a new option to allow players to set their preference regarding Escalation matches. This new option called "Prevent joining escalation matches" can be found in the base group UI (Bind to "U" by Default) and when checked will tell the Matchmaker that the user prefers not to be chosen as backup for Escalation missions. However, please note that it may still add users that have this option checked to missions via Escalation is the system is struggling to find players that do not have the option checked at the time. Muzzlebreak (Horizontal) now increases Vertical recoil by 20% and decreases Horizontal Recoil by 20%. Thank you for your patience.

Hello everyone, Since the release of GFAC we've been working around the clock to improve our detections and feel like now is a good time to reiterate our stance on Hardware level Macros and Macroing software. While our Terms of Service clearly outlines Macroing is against the rules we still see some users believing that they can get away with using a Macro to automate actions during APB's moment to moment gameplay - This is NOT allowed and we have already been applying sanctions to accounts that were heavily involved in the use of Macros. In the hours after this post we're going to be starting to more aggressively sanction the usage of Macros when playing APB: Reloaded so this is a final warning to those that use any form of Macro when playing the game. Thank you.

  19. We're currently investigating an issue with the new Matchmaking changes which creates very poor missions.
  20. Hello again everybody! As mentioned in our last maintenance post we're back with some exciting news today - Just now we rolled out large changes to our Matchmaking system. First of all, we've made numerous optimizations to the Matchmaker which should ensure that players get their matches faster without sacrificing match quality. Additionally we're also bringing back a feature of the old Matchmaker in the form of A-synchronous team sizes or also known as Lopsided missions which should drastically improve "worst case scenario" matchmaking results where previously it would match Gold players versus a Team made up of Bronze or Silver players but also further improve wait times seen by High Matchmaking Rating players as well as players in large group sizes. While these changes are exciting they are also very experimental - We're going to be monitoring them closely and try to address any potential issues as soon as possible. But that's not all! As part of our ongoing efforts to combat cheating we have been working hard on further improvements to our in-house Gamersfirst Anti-Cheat with version 1.0 having gone into internal testing yesterday.

We also want to acknowledge that we've been pretty quiet the last couple of weeks while we were working on further improvements to our Gamersfirst Anti-Cheat as well as some improvements to the Matchmaker which should significantly improve both match quality and decrease wait times for grouped players.
