-Actual Casino Operations Experience for District Design Concept-

Recommended Posts

Having been a former Surveillance Operator & investigator as well as Security & Main Cage Cashier for several years employed in a couple casinos, I can tell you that State Gaming Police commissioned by each state's Department of Revenue - Division of Gaming, patrol & have jurisdiction on gaming floors (Where gambling legally occurs & is allowed via table games or slot machines,) in casinos & only outsource to local PD when housing those arrested.  They usually go in between casinos all day dealing with issues or investigations themselves. Armored truck personnel picks up the bank deposits after all the money's been counted in the count room which has effectively been pulled from the Drop Team who pull all the full bill validators out of all the machines & then locks them in giant metal cages with wheels.

If they did do a Casino-District you would need to make casinos with hotel levels above them and also make it so that you could access the interiors of said casinos. A whole slew of missions could be custom-tailored around all the operations of a casino and at all their vulnerable points in time. Not to mention the surveillance room controlling their hundreds of cameras & refrigerated NVR (Network Video Recorders,) rooms with encoders & server hard-drive racks where all the network cable goes from each camera that could all be destroyed as part of criminal missions or the drop cages being targets in getting monies & so on. There are also restaurants, massive parking structures & frequent bus shuttles in which attacks, explosives or agents could be dispersed or VIPs vehicles could betargeted.

There is more than enough material to work with if modeling after the real operations that occur in a casino's everyday routine.

There are already casinos in both of the districts.  Not enough that are in actual casino towns such as Blackhawk or Cripple Creek, Colorado for example, but they are in the game. Obviously they're not accessible in any form currently, however you can see & hear them.

To populate the entirety of the city or District you'd need multiple large casinos & could fill in random skyscrapers & businesses; including banks across town from the casinos that armored trucks would have to be delivered to or intercepted by criminals before depositing a casinos profit.  A couple of well-funded & maintained parks from casino donations wouldn't be far fetched either.

Sorry; I felt it would be best to approach this subject fresh with solid information to keep the mindless bickering from detouring those legitimately interested in this idea. I support the Casino-District concept 100%.

Wow, nice, congratulations.

Cool stuff in here, really, im impressed by you.

You could get into any buildings back in 2011/12/13 and 2014, before G1 created Invisible walls, OOB and Forbidden Areas which don't allow you to explore nothing anymore except the actual playable area.

Yes, you can get out of map easy and you can still explore few roofs and more but you aren't free like before.

I have my ways to explore outside where OOB are presents but i do that only in empty district because isn't that completely "normal" (not called Cheats or Teleport) haha, isn't funny for who wanted to say that.

There are MANY places completed that aren't accessible normally, like interrogatory rooms, police department office's, locker rooms, cells etc.

Is a very cool concept and idea, i don't think something will be done in the future about that but if APB is related between Enforcers and Criminals.. well, this sould be another thing to take and develop.

Horses and houses i don't think so.

Helicopters.. maybe? But i don't think we will get something like that never.

An helicopter model can be found in APB files, completely detailed and finished, you can find too few spots for them to land on, few buildings have pre-built that into their roofs, obviously no collisions or textures, just grey default visuals objects, but you can clearly see the model.

Please start your own thread if you're going to add random ideas, chain. Not everyone else is a kid, also every other kid doesn't need to open their mouth just for the sake of being toxic & feeling a need to reply to everything when they have nothing intelligible to contribute.

Azure, while I appreciate the enthusiasm & ideas; that was a hell of a post to quote, lol. Maybe just reply next time if it's a lengthy reply, my friend. I've explored stuff in the game over the years but have never found all the detail you've mentioned. I've also played back in 2014 & wasn't able to access anywhere you're mentioning. Those are unnecessary resources for the engine to render & I've seen through the world from glitches in all sorts of places. Where exactly are these elaborate detailed & finished rooms? Are you able to screenshot & verify? If they were a place before I doubt they are still.

Also, not to be that guy but to totally be that guy; you only need to use "an" before a word starting with a vowel. An ocean, an apple & so on. An horse or an helicopter isn't correct & sounds atrocious. I mean no offense; just a bit of a writer & know I'd appreciate it if someone helped me out in learning language or pointed something out that I had missed. Apostrophe S isn't needed for the plural of something, it conveys ownership. Alright, I'm done.

Cheers,

-SJ

I will reply next time, no problems.

Detailed places appear in many spots on both financial, waterfront and FC districts, are just closed and you can't enter them.

I could be able to do screenshots and verify them but isn't a normal way of doing something, i should glitch out from the map and do other strange things, what i don't want do do for just a few screenshots, you can get videos too about them, just by finding the right clip on youtube or twitch or dailymotion and other websites to upload files.

So much old, but yes, they are still there, there isn't really a way anymore to access them in-game, well.. yeah.. only glitching, not normally.

There are also few places totally hidden from the map which you can't even see from the exterior and you can clearly see that on APBReloaded trailers and videos published years ago.

I want to answer to the last thing you wrote.

I appreciate what you saying, obviously, but i don't feel i want to be perfect in that language, i mean.. i learned English only for play videogames and understand in a better way the other part of the world, my primary is Italian so im not even worried if i do errors, is normal, and, like i said above, i don't need to be perfect just because i wanted only to understand and let others to understand me, thats the important thing for me.

I feel ya'. However I was just offering advice, my friend. A master is only a master when they never stop learning. You're free to take it as you wish, understand it's not an attack on you. I realize from reading other posts of yours that this is a secondary language to you.

Please don't feel you have to explain that every time somebody mentions something about the language you use. It's not Ann attack on you & there's need to get defensive. Some people are more than understanding. I also worked in an immigration prison before & dealt with people from all over the world. Which is why I had to explain the part about I would appreciate it if someone had helped me in earning a language or understand something I may not have seen.

There are millions of people like you, you don't have to champion the cause each time because most people are unfeeling aholes online, lol. A lot of people are pretty cool. There are also a lot of people who aren't cool.

Anyways, glad to chat with ya'. Also, learning more can never be a bad thing. If you learned the language to play games, the better you learn the language, the better you can communicate, the better you can play games with other people. Another thing about the logic in that is why aren't you playing the video games versus spending most of your time on the forums using this English language?  That seems counter-intuitive. you're telling me you only learned the language to play games but feel compelled to spend a great deal of time communicating here & explaining yourself constantly. But I also have that problem with most people that seem to spend most of their time on the forums versus actually populating the servers within the game & making it more popular on Steam & everything else, then complain on the forums about population as they sit on here & not in the game. Each person helps contribute to that total # of players.

As far as the casino District goes. Helicopters could be fun, but not involved in the casinos directly. Perhaps on buildings owned by the casino since they wheel & deal with millions of dollars like butter.

If we don't do an entire city size map District, having a casino as a district like Asylum as a PVP-DM map would be pretty cool as well. But I feel we would be missing out on potential from not utilizing an entire city map.  The addition of an airport would be a nice touch.
