CANNOT delete character at all

i am typing in right name to delete and it ether sayes character not there or the delete icon is greyed out i just made it and want to remake and i am stuck using a character slot

 

how do i fix it

Must be spelled correctly (did you use any i's for L's?) and is case sensitive.
