Alani 475 Posted May 26, 2018 G1 compressed the living hell out of the game to reduce the amount of space the game takes up which I also assume decreased some performance. Games nowadays have exorbitant amount of space required, so it would be nice to see the game uncompressed so it can look nicer too. Dunno if the mythical engine upgrade or whatever will rectify that issue, but I do know the compression is a reason why some textures are always crap when the game is on the highest graphical settings and why people use things like the advanced launcher to get as high as graphical settings they can. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Alani 475 Posted May 26, 2018 I would also like to add that majority of the weapons textures look like crap mostly because of the compression. I think the way G1 did game updates they would decompress the game files, add and update, and then compress them again. Which probably destroyed performance along with other features like tracers.
