Every time I try and login I get error code 8 can't play

i am also getting this error, both on steam account login and my other account that logs in by email address. i just reinstalled the game today after uninstalling about a month ago. it is saying the game may be under maintenance, but there were other people playing the game on twitch at the time i tried to log in
