  1. Nazi symbols remind people of a recent past that was very dark. Friends of mine have parents who where born in concentration camps run by Nazi's. They killed hundreds of 1000's of people due to race in cruel terrible unusual ways that you in you privilaged life could not even comprehend. If you picked up a book and about it you would understand that this is not a case of people being snow flakes. Its reminding people about the sadest time in human history.

It makes me sick and angry anytime I see Nazi symbols and I feel sorry for the ignorant person presenting the symbol as it show they really have no idea what they doing due to a lack of basic education.

I screen shot everyone i see and put in a ticket and I never see the same one twice because gaming companies agree.

If you asked me that earlier then yes but i cannot be bothered to change it all back just to reapply my settings

Can understand that, the tweeks you can do are amazing. I have to lower settings because Aussie internet has to go through underwater potato to get to my toaster. Looking at upgrading to a sandwhich press soon so that could improve things.

    Hi everyone,

I'm happy to weigh in on the OP's original question.

Yes - we do ban players for harassment.

Yes - we do read the reports that are submitted to Support.

Obviously, we're still working on our Support turn around time. It is still unacceptably high. That staff keeps growing, and we continue to train and find new ways to optimize our ability to properly research and respond to tickets. However, once we have researched the activity/chat logs for the reported player, we do reach out with warnings or other actions.

Usually we go through a process of warnings that explain what they did wrong.

If they continue, then we give a 1 day temp ban.

Then we give a 7 day temp ban.

And if they still can't seem to correct the behavior, we do a permanent ban.

After slogging it out for 5 months and getting hundreds of these reports, we have also developed new tools from scratch that will allow us to respond faster to these kinds of issues. This includes a new customization review tool that allows our team to look at symbols and clothing across an account without having to manually get into the game. We are also waiting for some final dev resources to free up, so we can finish off the new /report system.

TL;DR - If you are using racial slurs, hate speech, telling people they need to commit suicide or generally being a toxic, abusive, harassing player, then you are putting your account at risk.

    Thanks,
    Matt

Any chance of adding in letting the player know of the outcome of the complaint? Could be just a matter of cc'ing the reporting player into the outcome or a quick automated report sent out?

It would let players know that something has happened and keep the community happier regarding this subject.

    lol, no, they don't.

I've a ticket for nearly 2 months already.

Let me guess. .. "It got lost in our system" ™

I think this is something they do take seriously, they may have taken action already and you just dont know. Maybe they should keep you in the loop to see what has been done about the complaint or it feels like nothing has been done.

This also raises a second idea for me, may have to write a guide on how to protect yourself from online bullieing n APB. I think it would be a 50 page document, but this is a definate need to do if Little Orbit wants to raise its population. Bullieing is rampid in APB and this can take its toll on some people, entering into issues of mental health and suicide.

Dont get me wrong I personally love the rawness and roughness of this game, but the straight unintelligent hate tells are just too far and not fun for either party.

The sound of nssw is Amazing, but is near to be a n tec with extended magazine 3 , hb3 is a must.

Reduce the hard damage? Sounds like a bad idea, just use an Ntec instead. I always thought this gun was for people who want to level up thier Light Machine Gun but dont actually like Light Macbine guns and this kind makes me believe that more.

I guess I have always wanted to destroy vehicles and people well.

If they will start to perma ban people for rage whispers then this game will have /100 pop at peak.

I agree so warnings, deletion of offensive material by GMs, stopping access to game for 1hour plus would be a good place to start. Perma ban is a bit extreme there Clande lol

  7. So whats the best way of reporting someone for harrasment, lately it feels like every 3rd game im being spamed with salty whispers saying 'go hang yourself' 'your a loser f**k' insert rant about your mother and something about goats.

Do we /reportplayer or is this a LO ticket thing?

Also what happens with players and offensive Nazi stickers?

  8. I only had time to skim over the post but...

Setup a multi OS system. You can have win 7, win 8.1 and win 10 all installed on seperate partitions, it will come up with a selection menu on start up then you can use one operating system for your game programs and the other os for running other programs.

Me personally I run Win and Advanced Launcher and apb runs great.

I have an old i5 2500k cpu i over clocked to about 4.8Mhz (rivals modern i5's) with Nvidia 1070.

I wouldnt say the game is unstable, it is buggy but can run really well after doing some tweeks it. It is very cpu intensive and using an ssd drive can improve performance (less stutters) due to a lot of drive accessing.

    What hardware are you running?

What stats you getting when you /fps

    Any changes in internet access?

Also, go through all the old bug and tweek guides for apb, its a game that you need to do research to make it work well for your machine.

  9. So depends what you want, if you still want to blow up cars well and shoot from mid long distance I would suggest if I may looking at the SWARM. The recoil has been buffed for this gun and is very good in situations of mid to long range, but maintains the ability to bit vehicle very hard still. Try it out.

    Me? Wasn't me.

And obscure? Not really, it's a really well known meme in the CSGO community and general esports meme. This community does have some overlap with both of those topics and well, we're all gamers. So no, i really wouldn't say its obscure.

Why you being serious anyway lol. My comment was a meme in itself.

Happy with some of the price drops, but I'm frankly disappoint weapons like the ALIG and the DMR-AV got a major price hike

I was going to buy an Alig, not now. They reduced the price of the reskin KO, but before there was a good cheap option and a flashy version that cost alot. No increases should have accured, thats just poor form, in the end though, if they fix the game they will come and more money for LO. It all seems to be resting on (Im scared to mention it) the upgrade.
