  1. Well if your friends have no problems then it isn't the servers causing the issue.

APB is highly CPU intensive, a new GPU won't do anything. I'd either suffer and wait for the engine upgrade, or try different ways to optimize your FPS.

    - Advanced APB Launcher can be tweaked and used to get good FPS results.

    - Updating drivers usually helps a great deal in improving performance.

    - Search around for any other tweaks, but keep in mind that you must do them at your own risk. I have found the following that may be useful:

    Quote

    - Using advanced launcher, keep Particle Space Area on 5-500.

    - Turn Off Bloom and Quality bloom.

    - Set shadow fade out distance as 25m (Skip this if you dont want to use Advanced Launcher)

    - Defrag your APB folder once in a while. (Real world difference on stutters)

    - Disable In-game Anti-Aliasing. Enable from your GPU control panel. (if u need AA)

    - Delete all the files from asset cache folder before starting the game)

  2. TYVM @Sandawg!

    I wonder if changing <meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image"> to <meta name="twitter:card" content="summary"> would make a big difference?

That way on Twitter it would look more like this:

    HvoM3iK.png

    instead of this:

    Xb0r9q7.png

and then it might even change up the Discord embeds to look just as good and clean too.

  3. I am wondering if we could get an improvement on the OpenGraph/Twitter Cards/oEmbed meta tags for link previews. Specifically it would be nice to have Discord previews more spiffy when linking something from these forums.

Currently this is what you get when linking from the forums onto Discord:

    AVjr5ZG.jpg

The issues I find with this is:

    1. The image is too big and takes up too much space, a thumbnail might work a lot better. On the other hand it doesn't look as bad on Twitter & FB, but I have seen a site where the Discord preview uses a thumbnail and the Twitter/FB previews a bigger image.
    2. The description only shows the top comment on that page, if linking a specific comment it would be nice to have it display a summary of that comment linked instead.

Problem statement: BattlEye and DirectX constantly reinstalling
Workaround by forum user JohnNighthawk (thanks to @Keppe™ ツ (∩^ᗜ ^∩) for sending it to me): To disable directx and Battleye installs when you're playing APB, go to your steam folder, APB folder, locate a file called TPI.xml and edit it with a notepad. Delete the following lines:

    <InstallerInfo>
    <Name>DirectX</Name>
    <DllRelativePath>DirectX\DirectXInstaller.DLL</DllRelativePath>
    <SetupFileRelativePath>DirectX\DirectX_June2010program</SetupFileRelativePath>
    </InstallerInfo>
And the one that has the name BattleEye or something. But it should look the same as the one above just possibly <Name>BattleEye</Name> instead

  5. Nie można tu mówić o zakazach.

It was stated that certain ToS violations won't get you unbanned.

    Quote

But I do want to say that this could raise issues of “oh these cheaters are bad” but specifically the bulk of the cheating bans are going to be reversed; the community is going to get a second chance. We’re not going to unban all players, for instance players committing credit card fraud, but we’re going to unban the majority of the bans.

I'd write all this in Polish, but my Polish can be bad and I suck at writing it.

Edit: Also this is something you should take up with support again, if you ask for more of an explanation I'm sure they will give it to you. (That is if they aren't like old G1 support)

steam has a solution(regional pricing) for this that might work for g1c purchases through steam if little orbit wanted to go that route, check my link to see what its like in other games

Yes and Steam also implements something called region locking, which helps prevent people from getting a game for dirt cheap through means of a VPN. - https://en.softonic.com/articles/steam-region-locks

If Armas is going to have regional pricing, then it needs to also have a way to prevent people from exploiting ways to getting the cheaper prices.

Stan, thanks for suggesting however this doesn't help. In matter of fact, i have no idea how to install it since a CMD window is showing up asking for manually imput game server ID, port, then BE password.. it looks quite bs to me..

I went off from what the Discord said about BE solutions. You can always try to reinstall the game.

Problem statement: Battleye currently does not reliably install correctly on people that have already got the game installed.

Workaround: Do a repair using the launcher. If that does not work, delete ClientFiles.xml from the root of the Game Directory (e.g C:/Program Files (x86)/steam/steamapps/common/APB Reloaded), and try again. If this fails, a full reinstall is needed.

Also check this post to see if any of these apply to you:

Either way you should probably not use a cracked version of Windows. 😉

  8. Reinstall APB.
Try installing on Steam and running it through there (Alternative is GamersFirst Live!... if that still exists...).

Start game through the APB program located in the Binaries Folder.
Make sure you system is up to date.

Make sure your A/V is not blocking the launcher.
