  1. So after recent (horrible) changes to IR3, the mod is rendered useless. Especially the last nerf to the mod (keeping -18% fire rate while decreasing its range).

After the recent changes to IR3, I'd like to announce the funeral of the innocent victim, IR3. Rest in peace brother. May the premodded weapons equipped with IR3 rest in peace too.

You screwed up LO, big time. Thanks.

The cisco is paperweight yes, but it also has very poor grip despite have the widest fucking wheels of any car in the game???

the vegas has abysmal acceleration. The first gear has zero acceleration and no power, then every gear after that it has insane power. Please fix.

    The pioneer doesnt have suspension

if i remember correctly the coywolf can drive fullspeed with capture items

the bishada is alright, except it’s first gear is severely lacking just like in the vegas

the jericho has identical acceleration to the bishada, but the jericho has abysmal suspension that is way to soft. It causes over steer a lot of times

another vehicle that annoys me is the armored truck/bank truck. It has no suspension travel so it can’t absorb force from bumps, and on top of that the axel alignment is  fucked so the truck is tilted which causes it to constantly turn to one side when driving.

Basically the vehicles were pretty good before G1 changed them

No the bishada is not alright. Extremely low hp + very low starting acceleration + very light car  +  bugged =  worst of everything.

  3. So since LO's reviving back APB and fixing things wrong with the game. I wanted to bring up that the Bishada Rapier really really needs to be bumped up in terms of acceleration and HP. It's such a waste of a good-looking car due to being extremely fragile (it can't even handle small crashes) and the poor acceleration. It's supposed to be a race car but it barely pulls out before you're thrown at by a grenade, which is enough to explode the car instantly..

I hope LO considers major changes to the Rapier any time soon.

id happily play in gold districts if there were any with optimal population, i was a pretty big fan of the threat lock tbh

Well until golds find a place to hug them all together, they should respect the community they're with. Gold districts being empty is not an excuse to be a douchebag to other players.

  5. All these "Golds" being salty because they're too scared to lose what feeds their ego and makes them feel somewhat better at something in life. Just let them keep saying silver and stuff. IK for a fact I'm a silver and I kick a lot of "Gold" asses on their district. To add, if Golds feel so superior and ashamed of Silvers' play-style, why not go play in your Gold district and never bother with Silvers again. If you're going to play with a community, respect it.

3 layers of anticheat you say? that is like having 3 layers of condom for safety. just pick one and optimize for apb. don't need every anticheat in the world for one game.

Actually a lot of games utilize 2 and some utilize 3... So it's not a new thing..

I think thats what happens when you dont pay the bills for PB

Pretty much yeah. A lot of people are gating on PB cuz they never saw an updated PB (which busts punks pretty well)

Good thing I wont buy a product backed by trash like PB. Even better thing is that we don't have to worry about that trash in APB.

PB is by far the easiest to bypass and the least accurate of the anticheats and as a bonus has the most false positives. Keep thinking that trash is gold though.

I never said it is "gold". But proper PB is good. Just facts. Anyways the BE update is coming tomorrow and I'm so excited about that 😄 don't disturb my peace :'D ❤️

The problem with Punkbuster is true false bans. Using a China mouse with DPI software? Seen as an injection, and could potentially get you banned. PB had a huge banwave when Logitech did it with their G series mice.

Actually I did buy a Bloody mouse once to test if the game is macro-proof. Guess what, PB didn't even catch it. I kept shooting at double-b testing every macro scenario possible and didn't get banned. Also, my primary mouse if a Logitech G502 and never PB banned me, so idk for myself PB never gave me false bans so I can't be sure about the false ban stuff. And it is ofc true since a lot of people experienced it, what I'm saying is a proper PB configuration would never cause false bans, unlike old PB config in apb which was complete horseshit.

  9. Oh boy.. What's wrong with these replies? The dude just asked a freaking question? Why is there people always whining about    every     single   thing    someone says in the forums, then they ask why APB's community is poisonous? Wow man, kudos to u for your patience..

And to answer your question, I highly doubt that they will be able to get you your expired stuff, unless it's a really nice gesture of them, because it's relatively a new company and I don't think they can cover such expenses in their beginning of their career.

From what I've learned about how effective Battleye is, long term undetected cheating basically stops with that. There won't be anyone who can comfortably get away with cheating without having to worry. When the public pay-cheat developers have developed bypasses for Battleye in the past (at least in the cases I've heard), they have gotten detected so fast that it has proven to the cheat developers that it simply isn't worth it. It's a pure loss for them (time vs money). This is when they move to having expensive cheats open only for a small group, enabling them to still make a good amount of money and in theory avoiding detection in a better way. But these cheats get detected often too from what I've seen.

With a properly configured FF alongside, it means that even if someone manages to bypass an actual BE detection temporarily, they still can't ramp up their cheat settings very much. So FF is a perfect compliment to client-side anti cheat. Running FF alone though is not a good idea at all, as we've seen, even if it would be well configured, because then everyone can still use almost any cheat they like and just cheat enough to increase their performance to a certain level without getting flagged by FF, which is the case with for instance Battlefield 1 (Battlefield 4 has PB also). FF was marketed as the nightmare of cheat developers, but it's the opposite when it comes to games protected by FF alone. Cheat developers then don't need to to worry about actual detections, meaning the cheats are easier to make, maintain and sell, which leads to a much higher number of low key cheaters. The ban responsibility then falls on the cheat users, which is also perfect for the cheat developers.

TL;DR: With both a good client side anti cheat like BE and a well configured FF alongside, there is no need to worry much. It's one of the best anti cheat combinations you can have (if you don't count custom anti cheat).

    I'm 100% with you.

I would never install punkbuster, that is pure malware garbage right there.

Because you've never seen proper implementation of Punkbuster. APB's out-dated PB was shit. Look at games like BF4 were PB does a very good job when properly configured and kept up-to-date.

Thanks guys for confirming the presence of FF alongside with BE. This makes me even more optimistic about the update. To add, I wish LO informs us beforehand to remove our advanced launchers so we don't get banned suddenly after the upgrade.

    PUBG cheating

I think you need to look at it from another perspective. Cheating will not stop regardless of Battleye but consider what comes out of this. Battleye is like an antivirus program, with a detection database. Due to Battleye being used in another games their database is always growing and scan engine constantly updated to detect new cheats. The more Battleye is being used as an Anticheat solution, the more data they have to improve the database / scan engine. As a whole it is far better than FF alone and with big titles such as PUBG Battleye will only get better.

The key part here being that cheat developers need to constantly update in order to stay ahead. Pricing (for cheats) might go up or cheat developers will start working on private cheats with a high price tag. Anything that slows down their progress and deters players away from cheating is a good addition to APB. What I hope Little Orbit do is announce how many bans per month to at least provide some form of acknowledgement that they are trying to keep San Paro clean. (no names, just figures)

Agreed. Thanks for the detailed logical reply.

Some paid hundreds and even thousends of $ to play the game and risk it cheating, why would these people not even fund enough for constant cheats even with regular battleeye adjustments?

The dedication and money some of them put into it is astounishing

Indeed. Cheaters consider it a hobby which pleases their inner troll. Cheat-makers consider it a hobby to develop their OPP skills and make money out of it. Disgusting types of people which will always exist.

For the moment the EasyAntiCheat I saw only working on Dead by Daylight and Fortnite, so I wouldn't venture too much, but a BattlEye - EasyAntiCheat pair would be hard to overcome.
Regarding the BattlEye, there are some games where there is still the presence of cheater, but they are banned in not even 2 days.
Fairfight is a system recording, and not a real anticheat (which then identifies the cheat), but records the actions of a player and then a Staffer (real and true) must evaluate whether those types of statistics are human or not. In Battlefield it works. It would only be to adjust a little and take several GMs.

That's why fairfight is really is really important. Any person with C/C++ background would understand my point, which the importance of having both server sided and client sided protection to effectively eliminate suspicious/cheating actions. Problem is a lot of people replying either didn't understand my point properly or are just commenting with 0 knowledge of how cheat detection works. They're just delusional and are going through wishful thinking that battleye alone is sufficient.

    1 hour ago, Kast2 said:

If updated as you should the BattlEye can safely go it alone, but if you want to be sure you can try it for:
    1. BattlEye - Fairfight - EasyAntiCheat
    2. BattlEye - Fairfight
    3. BattlEye - EasyAntiCheat

PunkBuster in the past gave so many problems, so it has been removed and it is better that there is never more.

I totally agree about punkbuster. But proper implementation such as in BF4 makes PB a no-joke for cheaters.

Tbh.... im little bit afraid that those cheaters who makes new acc. over and over and over again just to find any weakness might break Battleye 😕 i bet MrEpicGoat is already working on how to defeat  BE.

I dont know anything about PC stuff ,but  ID, IP and steam VAC ban would be nice bonus. + maybe lock away APB folder and files from any attempt to do something.

I dunno ,but its APB ... There is more 3 party program users than legit players ~.~

    THANK YOU

I mean, despite what reddit says I rarely saw cheaters when I played PUBG. And saw none on Fortnite. I did see some cheaters in siege, but after BE launched I saw none for almost year. Now I see some cheaters in siege but they're only in high elo and it's very rare at that even.

Better than the nothing we got now for APB 🙂

I really hope that becomes the case with APB. Hope is finally back..

    59 minutes ago, BXNNXD said:

im pretty sure no one thinks battleye will magically stop all cheaters, and if they do they deserve the rude awakening tbh

what battleye hopefully does is mitigate the cheating issues to the point where we dont have cheaters lasting months or even years, and where blatants dont get to wait for statistical analysis to determine that shawcoptering isnt actually humanly possible lol

Yeah that's why I totally am excited about BE. It's just that BE lacks the memory scanning abilities of FF, but definitely better with analysing memory reading processes once they're caught and flagged.

  14. For everyone who replied,

it seems that people have misunderstood 2 things.

First: that I am not thankful for LO's efforts and the implementation of Battleye.
this is simply not true, if you just took one second to read the post and understand, you'd realize that this was not the subject of the post.

Second: That I am expecting an Anti-cheat to be flawless. Again, not true.

To clear things up, the subject of the post is people not getting their hopes so high. I often see people saying in-game "just wait for BE and there won't be any of you scumbags". I am simply pointing out that people should not be expecting APB to be free of cheats, unless 3 of those anti-cheat mechanisms are implemented together.
And for the people acting like little whiny kids and being disrecpectful, just know APB community gets worse with your existence, please change your attitude or get some self respect. I won't be reading a line after I see some little kid whining as if I was unthankful for LO's efforts. Which is simply not true, what's true however is your inability to understand a post's context and rather whine about anything you read on the forum.

We won't be relying on just one anticheat. FF will still be there alongside BE as a secondary tool for gathering data and confirming what BE detects. We've all seen how shit APB has become since the removal of PB and tweaks to FF in late 2016, cheating became as rampant as it was before FF. I wouldn't bother bringing PB back though.

Actually proper implementation of PB and FF like Battlefield 4 kicks a lot of cheater patootie. If you play BF4 frequently you don't see this much of cheaters and it's also FF + PB. But I recall EA making some tweaks to them for improving their detection and analyzing abilities and accuracy.

Well, I don't see where I complained? All I see here is someone who complains about everything and dissing the community whatever happens? If the community is so irritating to you, maybe you should get off then.

Maybe it's just my bad luck w/ pubg and ark(couldn't handle playing ark). And yes ofc it's a major upgrade and I'm definitely happy about it!

I've seen maybe 3 cheaters at most in Fortnite in a few hundred hours of play time. I can log on APB right now and find that many in just one mission. /shrug

I've seen more than than, but definitely I agree. Battleye is an improvement in every way possible. I mean, I am hoping for a cheat-free APB, especially that Battleye is having a hard time right now since hackers are experimenting more with its mechanisms and finding new loopholes day by day. You can even see Battleye talking about that.
My point is that we shouldn't rely *only* on one cheat detection mechanism, especially when new cheats for it are currently being on the rise now.

  17. 1 minute ago, CookiePuss said:

I cannot remember the last time I saw a cheater in PUBG.

Well I have certainly seen a lot. Also by digging for some time through the cheaters forums (mpgh and their sucker alternatives), I found that actually a lot of cheats are found there often related to games which have Battleye.

  18. Since Battleye is coming to apb, I just wanna raise awareness to something. People who play PUBG know that Battleye alone is very far from a proper cheat detection mechanism. So, will Battleye be present with fairfight, or it's a case of either/or? I know for a fact that battleye alone is not sufficient and it will just be a matter of time before new  cheats are made, and that would suck! I'm recommending Punkbuster + Battleye + Fairfight(if possible) since it would be really hard to bypass three layers, 2 of which are client-sided injection detectors.

What are you guys' thoughts on this?
