  1. What could potentially help is adding something similar to what RuneScape has: Quick Chat.

Quick chat basically just has some pre-determined common phrases and autocomplete sentences that the user can search through to respond to people. Things like "My Attack level is: [Insert player attack level here]"

In APB it could be things like "How much do you want for that car?" or "Attack objective A"  or things of that nature.

Quick chat was also quite helpful for proving someone isn't lying, because a small quick chat icon would display next to autocomplete sentences that differentiated them from typed text. This allowed players in RuneScape to prove they received something as a drop, or prove what their levels were.

However this one could be expanded such that it detects the game language of the player viewing the quick chat and displays the correct translation. Since the responses are fixed, there shouldn't be any issues with incorrect translations like an automated system would have. In addition, it should be relatively easy to program, as a simple matrix with index's related to each language can be used.

This should allow simple interactions to be sorted out, and could include things like "I don't speak your language" or "I don't understand you"

Could also be beneficial for Jericho, as I frequently got into conversations with Spanish speaking players and my Spanish wasn't good enough or their English wasn't good enough and it made conversations difficult.

Please do not support lootbox purchases. They're actual aids and developers should've learned that by now.

You want to hear something disgusting? Go to the nearest toy aisle in your favorite convenience store. Look around at the toys. 90% of the toys are randomized "Collect them all, expecially this rare one that Derek, your worst enemy in your whole class, has". The toy companies are training children to be OK with loot boxes, and that's the most sickening thing about this.

    That's easily doable, I guess.

The library itself doesn't touch any of the game files, including ones from anticheat. Since the APBprogram is not started, so BattlEye isn't started as well, thus no interaction with either local or remote anticheat services (which may present a problem). I generalized that output code snippet so it's easily readable, and sorry for spelling mistakes, but while we're at it you're not brilliant at spelling too (expecially, mispelled). I planned on open sourcing this, so you'll have complete insight what this app does.

Threat is a number, which I converted to readable text, don't assume if you don't know how it's done.

My comment on the misspelled word was not intended to be used as an insult, more of an observation. I don't have anything to go by except the code snippet you gave (Mainly because based on your Forum rating, you don't visit here often). I'm just telling you that it makes the whole thing seem more sketchy.

I'm am well aware threat is a number, and I also assumed that if this was real you would have to convert it to the corresponding color value, which is why I gave you the benefit of the doubt and didn't call you out for having the color values rather then the numerical values for threat. That was a suggestion for useful additions, not an attack on your program.

You must understand the moment someone says "Type your username and password into my fancy new program, it's the best" people become skeptical, justifiably so.

  4. Yeah, this seems (Based only on your description, to be fair) like it's going to be triggering all kinds of issues with the Anti-Cheat.

I'm not really that Interested in typing my info into a third party program, expecially if the only part of the program I'm allowed to see is some fairly arbitrary variable declarations with mispelled comments.

Also, I don't really see the point of being able to view this, unless there was some more useful functionality. For example, you have the threat listed here as simply the color, whereas from what I understand the game assigns a number to this value which would be far more useful.

  5. I made a costume for this, but I'm not sure if it fits the guidelines.

I'm using different saturations and brightnesses to make colors that are technically orange, purple, and yellow, but look more like brown, pink, and tan. Is that allowed?

For example: I select orange, set the saturation down bit, and decrease the brightness, I got brown. Is this still considered orange because I did not change the hue?

I think the color restrictions made this event unnecessarily complicated.

its easy to identify them if they are blatantly speed hacking across the map but what about the other type of cheating such as macros and walling and other shit?

Macros are impossible to tell at this point because people have the cyclic rates of these guns down at this point, and none of the guns are hard to shoot at full speed. To add onto that, the mousewheel shooting method still exists, so some people use that.

Wallhacks are also difficult to tell, because of this game's third person camera system. You can't always see the people who see you, and you also can't always be seen by people you see. Either way, the only real way to tell is playing the game for a while and getting a feel for the limits of the game.

Also, I've been playing this game for many years at this point and I can honestly say that while people may feel sketchy to you after you die, you can usually figure out what happened after you have a second or two to cool down.

  7. Maybe there should be a less strict version of this.

    Instead of:

"You can only play on X district on Y day"

    It should be:

"You get Z times standing on X district on Y day"

Like Monday could be double/triple standing in Financial

Tuesday can be double/triple standing in Waterfront.

Because there are an odd number of days, this will make each week the opposite of the previous so you get the bonus you want when you have time at the very least every other week.

Then Fightclubs can have one "Double JT" district every week.

    What cool down?

No seriously, at minimum distance, remote det will take 2-3 seconds to blow up the car. This timer increases the further you are away.

In regards to how often you can use it, it's basically whenever you have your car out. The cooldown really is 1 second.

    Oh damn, really?

Now the Firebomb's cool down makes even less sense.

    Thanks for the answer!

  9. Well, why don't you read some of the post around here buddy?

    LO has already:

    Added Battleye

    Implemented A trading system

    Updated the Joker store

    Reduced the Armas Prices

Added an auto renewal system for Premium

    Balanced weapons (Good/Bad)

    Fixed a few bugs

Added a weapon renewal system in your inventory

Added 2 new weapons and released a few previously unobtainable weapons

    Increased Communications/transparency

    Increased weekly update quality

    Increased FPS limit

    Improved server performance (IMO)

    Improved Hitreg (IMO)

Just off the top of my head.

  10. For people who are not too lazy to read:

    Hello everyone,

So yesterday I pulled out my Firebomb that's been sitting collecting dust since I made the mistake of buying it a few years ago from the joker store.

I activated the "Meteor!" mod, and then realized this thing has a 3 minute cool down. That got me thinking, "This thing is objectively worse then Remote Detonator because it needs a running start and needs to crash into something to work, If this thing has a 3 minute cool down, then the remote detonator must have a really long cooldown."

So I looked on the wiki (I know it's outdated) and the wiki says the remote detonator has a 1 second cooldown.

"That can't be right" I said to myself.

    TL:DR:

So anyway, my question: How long is the Remote Detonator cooldown?

Edit: I feel like I need to qualify this, I don't mind the remote detonator, I'm just curious.

  11. The Jersey devil is great. It just takes a bit of getting used to. At hugging distance it's basically a sure win if you can aim, at a few meters you just have to burst/tap it and you'll be fine.

Honestly, a lot of the legendary secondaries are underrated IMO (The OSCP is a great example, no one uses it but it's actually very good, from what this thread is saying, the BM is pretty good as well, haven't used it myself.)

The issue is that everyone wants guns to be as easy as the Nano. They're not, and that's a good thing.

I'm not lol. the thing is one of them told me he already sold 2 for 5m... maybe he's lying, maybe not... who knows in what timespan that happened... but if that's true, whoever bought them shredded lots of money...
He's lying... Everyone with 5m knows that the Ursus isn't worth 5m

Yep, agree. It's incredible how LO could break an already broken game even further.

They technical fixed this, G1 broke it so that it would pay any automatically when you died. This wasn't intended.

Maybe they'll make an intentional version of this.

Shredder is in the Joker Store. Same for what I assume you meant as the Dog Ear (ISSR-B). Ogre is a shotgun with a ttk of .99 (regular NFAS-12 has a ttk of .58) not to mention it can be bought with in game cash through the marketplace. I cant believe you would even bring up the Yukon which now has a .78 ttk up to a range of about 7m lmfao. Oh and it also can be bought with in game cash. Oh and disclaimer: Ive owned every legendary in the game several times over and Ive never bought a single JMB in my life.

Literally the only thing that gives you an advantage through irl $ in APB is the reduced cooldown on orange character mods.

    Please stop spreading false information.
Didn't some rainman do the math on this a while ago to disprove it was p2w?
Yes. Most people didn't agree with my methods though, so I don't bring it up anymore.

Needless to say, the game isn't pay to win. Every good gun is free, and all of armas exclusives are well known garbage.

Hell, almost every joker box weapon is worse then it's free counterpart, with a notable exception being the volcano, and even that is debatable.
