Everyone always talks about how N-TEC is balanced yet when a weapon comes out that can compete on equal footing or is stronger than it, it always gets the nerf hammer. Nothing can be "better" than the N-TEC only worse. The most balanced weapons in the game are the Star and FAR, and they should be the center of balance and what everyone compares and balances weapons to.

    Change my mind.

    Kalashnikov is best weapon

ARMAS is overpriced compared to a bunch of indie games on Steam, a platform known for easily accessible cheap games, but how many hours do you really put into those games?

Also keep in mind that EA still charges $80+ for an incomplete version of their game, then gets you with more $60 DLC later.

And I think we're all forgetting that Little Orbit is the first to put up a permanent item on ARMAS for <50 G1C

this one doesn't mean too much because there's no such thing as temporary 10 day clothing. But this does show that they're not going to be like G1 with the pricing.

  3. Why can't I just spend $30 to own a copy of the game. Then unlock all the guns, clothes, and kits through progression.

like wtf is this shit. I'm above rank 200, with tiptoe and birth unlocked, but my garage consists of a Gx8800, Mikro, and Espacio, all with no body kits, and only wheels and audio because I caved in a bought those(which were not worth the money).

fucking STOCK bodywork everything for those cars. They all look like patootie. and to think that I'd need to spend minimum $10 for one type of body kit for one car is fucking stupid. For all 3 cars it'd be more than $30. Then I'd only have one kit for each car. Not including wheels and audio which would be somewhere above $45 total. Then if I wanted two more kits for each of the 3 cars, I would be spending an additional $60 more for this shit. And if I wanted one permanent primary weapon, let's say a character bound CR5. That would set me back approximately $30 more.

Total for 3 kits one for each of 3 cars, 1 permanent character CR5, and wheels & audio for 3 cars:  $135

one hundred and thirty fucking five dollars for this small amount of bullshoot which people used to be able to unlock through progression back in 2010. Then I hear about people who spend hundreds on those stupid joker boxes and then get no legendary, nothing permanent. It makes me want to blow my brains out because of bad I feel for these people, and how greedy this shit is.

Doesn't this happen with the white void as well? E.g. daytime?

You could "fix" it by upping or removing the fog render distance.
AFAIK 3.5 has a higher render distance as @IAmDisappointSon stated.

Not nighttime but you get the general idea:
    unknown.png?width=1259&height=690

    This is 3.5:

Is removing the fog like in that screenshot bannable? If not then I'd love to know how to do it as a temporary fix until the engine upgrade.

So LO will be releasing a new vehicle soon. Anyone have any idea's on which type they are bringing to the game, or suggestions? Lets discuss

I hope they make a Bishada. The only model Bishada we have is the GX8800. I refuse to call it the "rapier" since 1: That's what G1 renamed it to, and 2: They didn't even change the badge on the car. It still says GX8800.

Bishada seems to be known for making Porsche/Toyota looking cars. Maybe we could get a Toyota Corolla lmao

  6. Based on leaked screenshots it seems to have been fixed in the engine upgrade. But it would be nice to have the light absorbing black fog heavily reduced if not entirely removed in the meantime until we get the new engine.

It's the difference between this from now.

Also the old bloom used to be really nice. Get the current circle shaped disgusting shit out of here. Bring back that nice cross shaped anamorphic bloom.
Also the colors on the engine upgrade aren't as good as RTW, but still blessed. I'm looking forward to the upgrade.

Not like APB does well at displaying all the color values it does support anyway. Unless its the crappy bloom messing things up.....

yeah since the customization studio seems to show the colors as they were in the original game, but outside, G1's bloom option which doesn't even really do bloom, just applies smart color filters.

It pisses me off when red in the studio turns pink when I go ingame, or yellow or any other color gets messed up ingame when in the studio it's fine.

You know, it helps if you actually give reasons for this.
Also, this thread might get locked and removed because of "name and shame"

If it gets removed, ill keep posting it. I don't mind getting banned. this game is a waste of time with these blatant cheaters that never get banned.
if you think it's a waste of them then gtfo and stop posting

Removing G1C would leave the game with a more seamless and modern feeling to it.
Following the approach of GTA Online making it possible to pay real money in exchange for in-game currency would be alot better in my opinion.
And adding a new way of buying items that are currently on the armas marketplace ingame.
Just an idea I personally would love it.

to be honest though I'd rather just dish out $35 to play the game, then have no premium bullshoot or paywall bullshoot. Just pay for a complete game and play.

Heres a simple but honestly great idea

There should be  a new gamemode/district called "War"  Winch would basically be a giant "Capture and Hold" gamemode like planet side two, except on the size of a APB district.  This mode would be 50v50 or 100v100 or what ever the server can handle.  You'd still be able to earn contact points, and roles  , but instead of fighting the same old "Missions" you'd be fighting a pure a simple war for control over the map/district.  Each "War" would go on for a week or until one side has complete control, at the end of the week, rewards like joker tickets or cash will be giving out to people who helped the most in terms of capturing that district.     This game mode would also give more clan interactivity, when a point is captured that clans symbol will be shown on the map "This point is held by *Blah*"  and at that point, their symbol would be displayed on banners and various other things around it.  Each point would be a area that realistically would want to be held by a criminal or police faction so for example the wharf would be capture e point.  only points touching each other would be able to be captured  and after each capture there would be a 5 minute timer before the next cap,   the capture process would take 2 to 5 minutes and would simply require  players in a certain area around it much like to planetside 2.

Spawn points wise would be limited to friendly captured points, and mobile spawns as well as the "Home"Base point for each faction winch would be spawn protected and non-capture able.  As well as a new car mod could be made or a charictor deploy able mod could be made called that allows for spawning  ie a deployable mobile spawn point that can only fit in carrying vehicles and the vehicle can not move when deployed.   the charictor deploy able would be like a "Rally Point Bag" and once placed on the ground, players can spawn from it but it would be much like a boom box, it can be destroyed and even picked up and moved ((or moved then destroyed by a enemy))

then would fit well within the APB lore, and honestly give players a option other then the current mission system and give both players and clans reasons to want to participate, as well as give clans ways to fight and compete against other clans and also display their banners winch currently is only displayed in the clan info tab.  ((winch kinda defeats the point honestly of even having a symbol for the clan if that's the only spot where the clan can put it besides personal symbol slots))

Also the reward/leaderbaord system would include clans , So for example the clan at the end of the week or war, that has the most captures or time holding a point or a number of points or a combanation and so forth would  get rewards as well that would be issued to the clan.

I like this. Like you said it would work with the games lore. It makes me think of all those cinematic, trailers, and how contacts tell you it's a warzone. This would really bring that in a literal sense which is fucking awesome.

If this becomes a thing they should bring back Enforcer and Criminal only parking meters and joker tickets. Criminals capture and gain control of an area in the city, the ammo depots and stuff should switch to crim only. Where an enforcer can't use and ammo depot or parking meter in criminal territory, vice versa. Then when a territory becomes neutral it opens up for all to use ammo depots and such until a faction gains control.

But why? Do you just want the entire game to be able to be bought on ARMAS and leave zero actual progression?

Weapons, vehicles, clothing, and customization. The game can already be bought on ARMAS.
I frequently see new characters with the lowest ranks wearing all this insane clothing, and using ARMAS weapons. All this despite their characters not having anything unlocked at all.

Oh hey that was you?  I remember you posting the 2nd video on the Nekrova forum a while back.  Nice work!

    Thanks!
Also I've just finished up the next video. This one is of the audio for those Balkan cars or Machina cars. It's going to sound different than it does ingame. That's because somewhere in 2012 and 2013 G1 broke the audio for all the cars, some of which changed drastically like this one. I've made this as close to the original sound as possible, and I will include a video of old APB gameplay as comparison.

Original sound in the old version

  13. Here's an old one. A while back I recreated the sound for the Jericho. This one isn't perfect since I don't have the right idle sound and there's a missing component for the engine, but it's mostly accurate.

I also found an old video of a recreated Nulander Pioneer audio. I'm uploading the video to youtube and I will edit this to include that video once it's done

The project I used to make the Jericho and Pioneer are corrupted so I can't use them anymore, but the Broadwing and Cisco are still fine. My next upload will either be the Cisco or one of those Balkan/Machina cars

  14. I'm not sure if this is the right thread for it, but this is APB related so I should be able to post it here?

As the title suggests, this thread will be recreations of vehicle audio from APB. I use a tool called "RavioliGameTools" to find and extract each individual component for a car's audio, then I use FMOD studio to piece them together in a way that sounds as close to the real thing as possible. From there I can create a sound bank and apply the audio to the example car in Unreal Engine 4

My first post on this thread will be the audio for the Dolton Broadwing.

I'm also currently working on the audio for the Charge Cisco, but I'm having trouble finding certain components for it.

Something interesting I noticed while listening to the vehicle audio, a lot of cars in this game use the same audio files, just pitched differently. For example the Jericho, Cisco, T25, and Montane all use the same base component for audio(except each have different secondary components). The Jericho obviously being the lowest pitch of them all, followed by the pickup trucks and then the Cisco. I noticed this when lowering the pitch of  the audio in a video with a T25. It sounded just like a Jericho.

Another thing I want to point out. Currently when looking through audio files each file is numbered. The corresponding name isn't something like "jericho" or "mikro", but instead they named it off the actual vehicle they used to record the audio, and since they use the same sample for multiple cars it makes it very difficult to determine which one belongs to which. So a lot of listening is required to pick out the right files. Just today I found out that the Broadwing uses the same audio as those Balkan or Machina cars, just with different pitch. At the same time I noticed that those files were labelled "taxi" which made it easier to find. The other components won't be so easy.

Blah blah blah too many words. I'll upload more as I complete them

Hey there, so I've been trying to figure out what's wrong with my game's decals as my char/car decals looks really blurry and pixelated.

    Previous Approaches  :-

1- Delete Config folder from APB Game and Engine folder then repair using the game launcher.

2- Use advanced launcher and set quality to ultra.

3- Optimizing my Nvidia Control Panel 3D settings.

4- Reinstalling programs in TPI folder.

5- Manually editing the .ini files in the config folder.

6- Spending 3-4 hours daily surfing the web for an answer.

7- Running the game with stock settings and Advanced Launcher settings on an M.2 SSD with and without a symbolic link to an HDD for the Assetcache folder.

8- Running the game with stock settings and Advanced Launcher settings on both of my HDDs.

9- Running the game with stock settings and Advanced Launcher settings on a 12GB Ram Disk.

    Proposed Approches :-

1- Complete reinstall of the game (Currently having internet issues so that's not really an option).

    2- Your suggestions ?

2.jpgAliasing on the edges of the car decal.

    3.jpgLow quality black color.

    4.jpgBlurry number plates.

    5.jpg This one is ridiculous.

6.jpg Notice the BEWARE decal? that's what I'm talking about.

20180626104723_1.jpgNotice the RAPID99 logo and low quality textures as well as the poor shadow quality?

The game was always like this when G1 had it. I remember reading a thread a while ago that showed the difference between the same decal on the same car from RTW to G1. The former being clear and high quality while the latter was blurry like you've described.

The thread is old af and I doubt I can find it though.

Many of you are gonna disagree and hate me there for it but honestly yukon was made just to force people buy boxes and its broken on purpose.. Imo this weapon should be removed from game completly and players compensated in cash or sth else... Whe you look at the overall ballance of guns, yukon just doesnt belong here and with current server performance you have 0 chance to fight yukon or corners

    Exactly!

The yukon is essentially  TWO primary weapons as your secondary. Giving you a total of 3. Yukon shoots as fast as if not faster than a shaw at close range, and while aiming down sights its long range burst fire accuracy and damage is comparable to an obir.

I want to stress that the hip fire "shaw mode" is extremely op and has a ttk seemingly faster than quick switching with an hvr (I didn't test it, but it's pretty much lightspeed)

    2 hours ago, Excalibur! said:

My opinion is that no secondary should have less than 1'' ttk.

ANYWAYS... why everyone is sniping with joker pistol? Honest question here.

yeah you'd think a burst pistol would be hard to control/maintain accuracy. On top of that you'd need a steady patootie hand to long range with a pistol.
