need help to even get into the game, please

i renewed my password  and after updates, i enter my ID/password.  after click on  LOGIN, it just gets stuck on Authenticating . . .    then  a moment later it does doesn't want to switch back to the game after switching to a webbrowser or another application.  i reinstalled it  and tried to insntall it from the website itself and still does the samething.     nvm  i figured out the issue, it was trying to read from steam files that were removed on a different  HD.   

problem resolved.
