Problem with launcher not working and error 8 when trying to login

Hello everyone, as the title suggests: I wanted to get back into APB after many years and, for the occasion, I decided to start fresh. So I created a new account and downloaded the game launcher from the official website.
When attempting to launch the game, the launcher opens briefly for a few seconds, displaying an half-loaded screen before closing automatically (I tested the Steam version and this also happens there).
Initially I thought that the problem was within the launcher itself (as others reported similar issues in various forums), so I attempted to use the Advanced APB Launcher first, however it wouldn't open at all despite following the instructions in the included .txt file. Then I tried launching the game directly from the APB.exe located in the Binaries folder, and the game actually started and seemed to work, but when I try to log in I consistently receive the error code 8, so I can't even create my new character.
Despite spending half of my day trying various solutions and workarounds found across this forum and internet (such as deleting the clientfiles.xml and re-open the launcher, changing the content in the EnvironmentGame.ini file, re-installing the VC2012_Redsit etc..), none seem to resolve this issues. I am genuinely losing hope - is there any other way to resolve this problem?

Hello again, it's been 4 days since I asked for help about this situation and the topic STILL hasn't been approved by a mod. I mean I know there's probably a lot of stuff to do with the game itself and the forum here, but I really need an hand because I'm really lost and I can't find a solution. I really want to come back to this game but it's literally impossible for me to play.
Can at least someone of the mods help me if the topic is still in need to be approved? Thanks a lot.
